- See Sammy Carlson adventure to the high mountain peaks of Alaska and British Columbia to push the boundaries of what is possible deep into the mountains. This back country terrain proved to be the perfect canvas for Sammy to push the limits of skiing. Joined by his friends Vinzenz Keller, Todd Ligare, Yu Sasaki, Yoshiya “Bull” Urata the crew spent the winter of 2022/23 in some of the world's most remote locations.

I have similar memories - I was still in High School when War came out and his part was my favorite. Watched it over and over. Crazy how he’s become one of the best backcountry skiers in the game, especially when you think of the many skiers from that time you never hear about anymore.

Sammy has always been in my top 10 skiers of all time list. This short film has entered my top 10 list as well. Influential. The way he carves and sees these lines in tight trees is astonishing. He has a style that’s so recognizable, and so perfect. If we’re talking top backcountry skiers of all time, he’s up there with JP and CR. Astounding.

@SammyCarlsonSki the shot that starts at 14:15 is basically the best ski cine I've ever seen. Perfect snow, not a sluff on the whole face. Super Blue. Substantial boost. I don't really understand how PERFECT blower sticks to those steeper faces at 15:03. There is a lot of heavyhitting ski cine out there over the years, but this is full on dream land. Kudos indeed.

I’ve been watching Sammy since the old Poor Boyz days when I was a teen - love seeing him still out there pushing the boundaries! We’re about the same age, and these days when I ski it’s usually teaching my young kids. Fun to see someone my age still crushing it.
