“I Could Die For You” Red Hot Chili Peppers (Fretless Bass Cover)

I still get that same feeling every time I learn a new Chili Peppers song. That same feeling I got years ago when I was starting out and learning “Give It Away,” “Higher Ground,” or any other number of their tunes. Flea is a magical bassist. Perfectly funky, groovy, and just such a free-flowing player. I used to be obsessed with these guys… so much so that it was the only thing I’d talk about in 3rd and 4th grade 😂
I think it’s very safe to say that if it weren’t for Flea and the Chili Peppers, I might not have picked up the bass in the first place
This song was bound to get covered eventually, especially because Flea plays a fretless on this track. And I thought what better than to release it right before I leave for summer tour, since the Chili Peppers are the ultimate summer soundtrack.

Duuuude, I bought a fretless bass 2 months ago and this song is one of the first songs I learned. So happy that you posted this cover. It's one of the only covers on YT which uses a fretless like Flea did in the recording. That fact blew my mind HAHA
