“Last Train To London” Electric Light Orchestra (Fretless Bass Cover)

This is one of those songs that just makes you wish you were around when it released. I mean, just the thought of being at a disco with your friends in the 70s when this comes on… it just sounds like a good time.
The bassline is also just sheer perfection. Perfectly bouncy and in the pocket. The whole “Discovery” record by ELO has some of the coolest and unique parts by none other than Kelly Groucutt.

Disco basslines are where it’s at!! Groovy, danceable, in the pocket… up front in the mix too. Not many other genres of basslines that have that same impact
