I used the horse I had from the first time at Valentine Stables for a while, but then it got killed by some O’Driscolls and I had to buy a new one. Went back and shot all those bastards. RIP Donquavius

After I beat the game I went back and caught the Arabian white, chestnut, black, and the Andalusian pink horse and named them plague, war, famine, and death respectively.
Note that the Black Arabian only spawns during a random event where 2 NPCs get robbed by a mugger. Normally the mugger will shoot the wife and the husband will cry and carry her body to the Black Arabian not far away. Edit: I forgot that it is sometimes available at the Saint Denis stable. If you don't find it there than yeah it is pretty much only available during this encounter

I had such a love/hate relationship with that horse. He was an asshole, but he always gave 100% when it mattered. Shed a few tears for him when he died at the end of the main questline.
The rose grey Andalusian can only be bought in Chapter 6 in Van Horn stable. The only Andalusian you can find in the wild is the one in the video- the Perlino. You can buy a dark bay in Strawberry, or take it from lawmen in combat in West Elizabeth and Lemoyne.@@misteryoww5026
I thought the animal people in RDR1 were a myth ohhhh I was so wrong. They exist and I'm pretty sure it's a glitch, but who knows? I remember being like 12 or 13 and exiting the game I was so freaked out. It's not only women and donkeys that fuse together
All them rare horses were great and it’s always great to take them to different towns and save them in stalls and use them whenever u want through out the game or just free roaming. Rockstar making u look for them horses is what makes the game great as well as rest of hidden Items throughout the game.

I love the gold turkoman you get from chapter 4, it's always my best boah or girl, doesn't get scared as easily as the Arabians and is almost just as fast.
I even called it „Sparrow” as that’s what his surname means in English. Really pretty horse and will never buck you off even if there is a pack of wolves up it’s arse

I was in the black bone forest hunting black bears and then I saw a red horse that looked pretty. I tamed it and I found out it was an Arabian. His name is Hephaestus and he is my son and I have had him since chapter 2
Me and my brother named our horse speedy because she was so fast. We got her at the top of a snow mountain we found a guide for, and she was a white Arabian. We both died on the hill together, and I have never cried more in my life. RIP Speedy Edit(I also got speedy again in my second play through)
You can endlessly get any wild Arabian if you're dies or if you sell it. Takes like 1 week in game for them to respawn but you can only have 1 of each Wild Arabian at a time
I got the mustang I was doing some hunting for camp foods and crafting some new clothes and I stumbled upon a mustang. Mine was a mix breed between a war horse and work horse. The bravest boy I got too. Doesn't buck me off with cougar or wolves or even with gators. And he's also fast and not afraid of bears. Rare bravery stat I guess. Or I'm just lucky.

Arabians are tiny compared to other horses, everyone just wants the fastest horse but forget that these things take off at the first sign of danger, even at lvl4 bonding. Andalusians or Hungarian halfbreds are the epitome of what a good horse is.
i also like ardenes, turkoman, and missouri fox trotter. ardenes is just straight up a war horse, low stats but good temperament. really only for people who hate when their horse bucks them off. turkoman has really good temperament and really good stats but not as good as ardenes, same with missouri fox trotter but the temperament is medium, with better stats than the ardenes and turkoman.
Arabian can be brave, but it depends on your bond with it. My white Arabian got close to a bear, but got spooked. It was standing near it for 13 seconds. Any horse is a fucking horse, so your clearly biased

It can spawn as a event when a girl screams for help and you’ll see two people sitting on a wagon and the girl will be in the wagon with a couple of corpses. Edit : The horse look like a zombie horse, It would be cool if rockstar would make undead nighttime 2 and in the end of the dlc you’ll be rewarded with that horse plus new outfits form the dlc and a zombie Arthur.
That Arabian Red Chestnut looks pretty dope. I have gotten a couple of my horses killed by random ambushes leaving Saint Denis. Have a black Arabian named Shadow currently.

I have a rare mangy horse with a rough appearance and pink spotted dreadlocked mane and tail.. you can get it by coming across a random encounter of the murfree brood carrying a small wagon with some dead bodies in it. You help a girl whos still alive in the wagon; but the horse is attached to the wagon and you can detach and keep it. Its the only one of its kind.
I just randomly found and tamed the striped Arabian horse. As soon as I rode her I knew I was going to keep her. Everyone compliments you as you ride her. She's fast but spooks easily.
I only had 5 horses in my current run, Renesmee was the first horse i stuck with, Primrose was a Hungarian Halfbred I stole from an NPC, who I then got to level 4 bond, then Sir Maxwell VIII was a Thoroughbred that I got after I got jealous of the Braithewaite's, who instantaneously died as soon as I stepped on Saint Denis, which is why I then bought Sir Maxwell IX in the stable, a Nokota who I had a level 4 bond as well, had him for most of the saint denis part up until near the end, where I bought Childish Gambino, the Black Arabian in the stable. As you can see, capturing horses are not my thing.
I used the giant black raven coat shire horse that Hosea got cuz I was fascinated how Massive it was compared to other horse until it died in the final mission😢
the black arabian event will spawn anywhere in saint denis. so don’t just go to that location. roam around at night and you’ll encounter the event. just be ready to run from cops

Personally, my favorite horses in this game were the ones that had an interesting story behind how I got them. Like the horse I stole during the very last mission I did with Sean. Or this one saddled, domesticated horse I found wandering about aimlessly in the middle of nowhere, who kicked me in the face when I tried to approach her. I played most of the game on those two horses.
Get the gold turkoman. 2nd fastest horse after the arabian (still very fast, you wont have issues for races) and by far more of a tank than the arabian, he can really take a hit before dropping.
The blue Arabian horse.YIU forgot that. You can find out about it when you bring the ladies to valentine. Listening to their sing has the line: “So I don’t go out there no more there’s a blue bourse laying outside their door.” Which basically means: One of the ladies died during an expedition in a cabin due to an illness and the wpboue Arabian is outside it.
The last one is called a warped brindle coat Arabian, I wouldn’t call any of these rare. I would refer to them as Uncommon as you could ALWAYS get them at some point. The rarest horses are the Few Spotted Appaloosa, Buell (Cremello Gold Dutch Warmblood), and the Tiger Striped Bay Mustang that you mentioned . You can only obtain these horses at a certain point in the story (Appaloosa from a random camper in New Hanover), Buell (from a story mission), and the mustang is only available once you make it to the epilogue
I had the brindle thoroughbred, her name was max and when she died in arthurs last ride i cried and went off the game so fast when the mission was done.
I had a white pet rat named Pickle during my first playthrough who used to sit on my shoulder and watch me play. She was the mother of my other rats as well. I had a white Arabian named Pickle and the real Pickle and I even own a hat that looks similar to the brown worn stalker hat, and a jacket that looks like a tan scout jacket, and my roughout tan cowboy boots. I'd sit there with pickle on my shoulder, playing the game with Arthur dressed exactly like me riding a white horse named Pickle. The real Pickle unfortunately passed away not long after I beat the game. Every now and then I'll visit the horse version of her on that original save. Now, every playthrough I start, I get the white Arabian as soon as possible in chapter 2 and name her Mama Pickle, it's a ritual for me.
The White and Black Arabian are the best in the game. The White can be found in Grizzlies West for Free and the Black (if you dont want to steal it) can be bought in Saint Denis stables.
The Perlino Andulasian is one of my favourite’s. It can only be found in one location, during storms, at night. I don’t recall the name of the spot, but if I recall, it’s where you shoot Cab Calloway.
I had an encounter with Murphy brood when I set up camp, and one of them had a dark horse that had scars all over its body and a unique mane style. That horse was awesome.
I had the tiger striped mustang. I was in a shootout with the blackwater police when all of a sudden a lawman shot her right in front of me. As I went to heal her I got shot. Rest in peace Cheyenne ❤️
I played with the dlc war horse all of my first playthrough and let my mom name it. A part of my soul died when i saw him take those final rounds that he couldn't shrugg off like all the other times.
If you dont protect cherish love and ride with your default horses as Arthur/John the entire game youre doing rdr2 and above all YOURSELF an injustice. Probably says a lot about your personality.

My horse for Arthur is the Missouri Fox Trotter in dapple grey. It’s usually only available for John for $600 but I found a glitch to get it for free at the very beginning of the game 😈
I use the white Arabian until I can get the Missouri Fox Trotter. I’m pretty sure they’re faster and have better stamina. Also I’m pretty sure they don’t get spooked so easily like the Arabians.

I like the Ardennes. It's like a shire but more agile. Looks brute, doesn't spook easy at all either, can stand right next to gators and nothing.

Well, the sole purpose of a horse is to travel faster I think. So, prefering speed over bravery is normal.

@@paulklotenkotter6965 horse stats barely mean anything other than health values; you can learn how to gallop infinitely pretty quick if ur not dumb and the speed differences are pretty low

I run with a Gold Turkoman, The gunslinger outfit paired so well with it and The build just matches Arthur
I have a rare mangy horse with a rough appearance and pink spotted dreadlocked mane and tail.. you can get it by coming across a random encounter of the murfree brood carrying a small wagon with some dead bodies in it. You help a girl whos still alive in the wagon; but the horse is attached to the wagon and you can detach and keep it. Its the only one of its kind.

I just randomly found and tamed the striped Arabian horse. As soon as I rode her I knew I was going to keep her. Everyone compliments you as you ride her. She's fast but spooks easily.
I only had 5 horses in my current run, Renesmee was the first horse i stuck with, Primrose was a Hungarian Halfbred I stole from an NPC, who I then got to level 4 bond, then Sir Maxwell VIII was a Thoroughbred that I got after I got jealous of the Braithewaite's, who instantaneously died as soon as I stepped on Saint Denis, which is why I then bought Sir Maxwell IX in the stable, a Nokota who I had a level 4 bond as well, had him for most of the saint denis part up until near the end, where I bought Childish Gambino, the Black Arabian in the stable. As you can see, capturing horses are not my thing.

I used the giant black raven coat shire horse that Hosea got cuz I was fascinated how Massive it was compared to other horse until it died in the final mission😢

the black arabian event will spawn anywhere in saint denis. so don’t just go to that location. roam around at night and you’ll encounter the event. just be ready to run from cops

Personally, my favorite horses in this game were the ones that had an interesting story behind how I got them. Like the horse I stole during the very last mission I did with Sean. Or this one saddled, domesticated horse I found wandering about aimlessly in the middle of nowhere, who kicked me in the face when I tried to approach her. I played most of the game on those two horses.
Get the gold turkoman. 2nd fastest horse after the arabian (still very fast, you wont have issues for races) and by far more of a tank than the arabian, he can really take a hit before dropping.
Idk but the rarest horse to me is the American Paint Overo

One of the ladies died during an expedition in a cabin due to an illness and the wpboue Arabian is outside it.
Black thoroughbred is actually the rarest ONLINE horse if anyone was wondering, only get it from hacks or the deluxe edition of the game.
The last one is called a warped brindle coat Arabian, I wouldn’t call any of these rare. I would refer to them as Uncommon as you could ALWAYS get them at some point. The rarest horses are the Few Spotted Appaloosa, Buell (Cremello Gold Dutch Warmblood), and the Tiger Striped Bay Mustang that you mentioned . You can only obtain these horses at a certain point in the story (Appaloosa from a random camper in New Hanover), Buell (from a story mission), and the mustang is only available once you make it to the epilogue

I had a white pet rat named Pickle during my first playthrough who used to sit on my shoulder and watch me play. She was the mother of my other rats as well. I had a white Arabian named Pickle and the real Pickle and I even own a hat that looks similar to the brown worn stalker hat, and a jacket that looks like a tan scout jacket, and my roughout tan cowboy boots. I'd sit there with pickle on my shoulder, playing the game with Arthur dressed exactly like me riding a white horse named Pickle. The real Pickle unfortunately passed away not long after I beat the game. Every now and then I'll visit the horse version of her on that original save. Now, every playthrough I start, I get the white Arabian as soon as possible in chapter 2 and name her Mama Pickle, it's a ritual for me.
The White and Black Arabian are the best in the game. The White can be found in Grizzlies West for Free and the Black (if you dont want to steal it) can be bought in Saint Denis stables.

I had an encounter with Murphy brood when I set up camp, and one of them had a dark horse that had scars all over its body and a unique mane style. That horse was awesome.
I had the tiger striped mustang. I was in a shootout with the blackwater police when all of a sudden a lawman shot her right in front of me. As I went to heal her I got shot. Rest in peace Cheyenne ❤️
My horse was a black Arabian. It died in Saint Denis when I was trying to stop a robbery. I've hated S.D. since.

I casually found the redchestnut arabic while haunting at the start of the game and I stuck with him till the end, such a powerful and beautiful horse
My horse was the one from the vet that took you fishing and hunting. A great horse and I miss him deeply
I played with the dlc war horse all of my first playthrough and let my mom name it.
A part of my soul died when i saw him take those final rounds that he couldn't shrugg off like all the other times.
If you dont protect cherish love and ride with your default horses as Arthur/John the entire game youre doing rdr2 and above all YOURSELF an injustice. Probably says a lot about your personality.

My horse for Arthur is the Missouri Fox Trotter in dapple grey. It’s usually only available for John for $600 but I found a glitch to get it for free at the very beginning of the game 😈
I use the white Arabian until I can get the Missouri Fox Trotter. I’m pretty sure they’re faster and have better stamina. Also I’m pretty sure they don’t get spooked so easily like the Arabians.
My fav nd the best imo is the all white horse you find in the snow, by a lake
