Many True Earth users complain that the textures are not sharp enough. I was able to replace the original textures with textures I made myself with Ortho4xp.
In this video you can compare both (with and without) thanks to the images at the end of the video.
Before I have download and install all the Ortho4xp (LV17) for the GB textures. Then I bought and installed ORBX GB. In the xOrginizer, I disable in "PHOTOSCENERY / GENERAL" : Orbx_C_GB_South_True_Earth_Ortho Photos. What was the fps impact? Better or worse? I figure Orthodox 4XP will allow you to obtain higher zoom levels where you need them, which is what I am doing now going as high as ZL19 for selected tiles. This plus the ORBX objects should be fantastic.

If your are using the very useful XORGANIZER, you have to disable "Orbx_C_GB_Demo_(or other scene)_TrueEarth_Orthos PHOTO"______in: Photoscenery/General.
Then, you enable your own zOrtho4XP_+50-002 (tiles for the DEMO ORBX).
What is nice is that you can drop your Ortho4xp folder where ever you want.....
At any time you can reverse the processus.
In my video I used only Zoom 16 (country) and 17 (towns).

@@jpvanderhaegen Thanks for your reply, but I completely new to these Xplane. I have no idea how the Custom Scenery works. There are many sources only about zOrtho4Xp, Overlays and such... I didn't know which one works best. Can you provide me the link where you can download your zOrtho4Xp?
@@lamdinh6847 Hello, First I use Ortho4xp_v1.30. The link I used in my video is GO2 (google earth) level 17. The tile for the area in my video (Southampton) is +50 -2. You don't need to extract the overlays because you will use ORBX thrue earth england south. /// Important is that you use xOrganizer (old free version) for easily install the custom scenery.
how did you make the building show up my problem was the orbs wont showing up when i got it installed ;(
Looks very good. which ortho source did you use? I have tried Bing and most others and never get one that is free of dark rectangles
Sometimes Bing. In the viedo it's GO2.

Sadly, this would be worth it if MSFS 2020 wasn't releasing in the next 6-8 months :P
and what zoomlevel is this?
Level 16 for country and level 17 for town
@@jpvanderhaegen a shame OrbX is not level 17, no idea why they did that
I think they should offer two download options. High res and low. Think they are releasing a high res pack for Washington soon
@@timrashleigh2984 Me I think ORBX should offer only the overlay objects (as trees, houses, highlight places.....) and everybody is free to download the Ortho4xp of his choice. For own use, the Ortho tiles are free of charge. For ORBX, they have to buy license very expensive.
@@jpvanderhaegen ORBX textures have very nice coloring but the resolution is shit. Tbh I don't know why they are doing it. I'm constantly on the fence about buying because of the nice overlays, but if it was not for the clouds and lines Ortho4XP looks better in many ways. I think if I buy ORBX I would regret it
