This guy has clearly been influenced by the greats but Paul Cauthen is Paul Cauthen, don’t get it twisted. Too many comments saying that he’s Cash or Waylon in the flesh. He’s bringing something unique, special, and original to country music.

During this year this guy´s music made me slowly fall in love with this new era of U.S. (country) musicians who combine their creativity with a bit of retrospective inspiration (including Paul, Orville Peck, Sierra Ferrell and others). After cca 20 years of listening to mostly rock and metal music (which I still like) I found there is something constant and yet evolving about country music. Its iresistible and haunting (in a positive way). Too bad the shows are bit out of reach for me here in the middle of Europe.

I never used to. I've gotten into select music, not the radio type stuff. Check out Tim Montana- Stronger than you , the cadillac three - slow rollin. Also look into some whitey morgan and the 78's.
I used to be a punk rock guy, and still am to some extent, but this darker side of country music has certainly ensnared me.
