Just go to Whole foods for 1/2 the price or Costco for 1/4 price. 😂

I don't know if losing money is entirely correct...more like they don't profit from it. They own their own chicken farms and processing factories and from what I understand mechanized much of the processing meaning they need less employees to operate. All combined it keeps the cost low so the raw chicken they sell in bulk likely completely covers the low cost of the rotisserie chickens.

Costco loses money on their chicken and they stated that, it gets customers through the door and it’s tucked away all the way in the back for a reason at a marketing ploy due to people’s mindset knowing it won’t just be a chicken, it’s a win win no matter what
people keep believing that they purposely put it in the back of the store. i don't think that's true. that's just simply where they have all their meats and it's convenient to put the warmers there. why would you have someone roll a cart of chicken all the way to front of the store? just a thought 🤔
