As always, I’d love to hear about YOUR favorite bootlegs that you have. Also, any preferred sources for buying boots. Let me know all of that, and anything else that makes sense, in the comments below.

There is a Hellhammer 3 LP set that includes all the demos including a huge BOOKlet called "Demon Entrails". Released by Prowling Death / Century Media in 2008.
My fave bootleg is Maiden´s "Live at the Marquee 1985". It´s actually NOT a Maiden recording, more like Adrian Smith and friends playing cover´s like "Tush" and "Rosalie". They also played "Juanita" and "That girl" from the "Stanger in a Strange Land" Maxi single with Adrian on vocals + "Reach Out" from "Wasted Years" with Dickinson on backing vocals... fun recording, hahaha...

God damn Rob's voice just soars on that live boot. Cutting thru the otherwise tinny sound. Thanks for doing this run down I often wonder about the quality of metal boots when I see them. I think I would pick up the Hellhammer and maybe the Celtic and Maiden you showed. Im also a big fan of Dianno vocals for Maiden. That Coroner is interesting for sure.. What cant Tom do? Oh yeah maybe not Cold Lake style hair metal ;) cheers man!

I have that Frost one too and was quite surprised it sounded so good for something 40 years old. One of my favourite boots is the Autopsy: Live From The Grave LP which was later rereleased on Dead As Fuck along with a 1993 gig

I picked up that Megadeth boot and Anthrax 'Metal Thrashing Mad - Arcadia Theatre, Dallas, TX July 11th, 1987' and found both to be quite poor in sound quality. I didn't pay too much for them, so no harm done. In recent years, the best boots I've come across have been from Heavy Metal Heroes Records. They've released a boatload of Maiden concerts and a handful of other bands such as Savatage, Motorhead and Kiss. The two I purchased are top-notch.
