    And this is why I love RUclips. Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I started taking a supplement with both Vit. A and Vit. B5 that you mention so I look forward to some help from that. I've never heard about White Peony Root. I will get that. I can totally relate to you mentioning how stress plays a role in acne. I had clear skin for about a year while using Estroblock, Apple Cider Vinegar tablets, Probiotics, Vitex and various vitamins and minerals. But for the past 7 months I've been under a lot of stress and my skin shows it. Luckily I only get two spots at a time. But by the time they heal, another spot comes in a different place and so I am constantly chasing two spots. About 10 days ago I started taking this supplement that includes Vit. A and Vit.B5 so that is where I am at right now. Thank you for sharing your experience!

    It's scientifically shown that people with acne have a deficiency in linoleic acid, which makes the sebum less viscous, so it's important to eat and topically have food/oil with higher linoleic acid then oleic acid. Some great oils are: rosehip seed oil, hemp seed oil, etc.

    Nothing thus far has worked for me (I’ve been on accutane twice before, which cleared my skin completely, but comedonal acne returned both times after a year or so). Anyway, this video has given me hope. I try not to get too excited, because my acne is so incredibly persistent and stubborn; but this has definitely given me hope. Thank you. I’ve been taking zinc (50mg) and vit A (8000iu) and seen no results, but have just bought B5 and will be incorporating this with the other supplements. Hopefully it works! Xxxxx

    This is very interesting! I have had a long journey with hormonal acne. The dermatologist wanted to give me Acutane. I chose not to take it (obviously because of the intense list of possible side effects). I began taking Spironolactone for about 2 years. Spironolactone treats acne (although that wasn't why it was created), but it doesn't keep it away. In other words, if you miss a dose, you get a break out. It blocks the androgens that cause the oil production, so at 125mg it has worked well for me. Recently, I went to the doctor because I researched PCOS and felt like I might have had it. I don't know that answer yet, but I do know the doctors don't give you a safe solution that actually fixes the problem. Acutane is not safe. And the other medicines they give you are ones you have to continue taking. So in other words, they "cover up" the actual problem. I recently went on a Vegan diet (research Vegan diet and PCOS) and it has definitely helped! I never knew that food can be such a trigger for hormonal acne. I am also taking an Inositol supplement as well, and that is supposed to help. But I will say that I truly feel the diet was the biggest game changer for me! Hormonal acne is so frustrating, and I feel like if you really have to do your own research and figure out what your triggers are and what WORKS for you. I wish I had known my diet (dairy, and sugars primarily) played such a large role in my acne a long time ago. It has been almost 3 years that I have been struggling with this. And the doctors didn't really ask me the kinds of questions I have learned to ask myself. They just wanted to give me a prescription and get me out. I WILL say, to anyone reading this, please don't make the same mistake I did! Do not believe that a face wash or a topical cream will fix your severe or hormonal acne! If it is persistent acne, a wash or product WILL not fix the problem! It may help with the healing of it, but it will not FIX it. I have bought every single skin care product imaginable. For those of us who have struggled with acne its so depressing to continue to buy new skincare products that promise clear skin and don't deliver. I got my hopes up countless times with new face washes, masks, and treatments. I also went to a medical spa and spent well over a thousand dollars on chemical peels and laser treatments to heal my scarring. That was the single best thing I have done for my skin (including changing my diet). Having to cover break outs and scarring up with makeup can be humiliating. (Beach, anyone?!) Research vegan diet and acne. Save up for chemical peels and or laser treatments at a medical spa if you are not okay with your acne scarring.

      I went vegan thinking it would help my PCOS but unfortunately it hasn't and now I'm stuck. I know it's hormonal because I took the pill for 6-7 months and skin was the clearest it has been my entire life. I stopped taking it because I stopped getting any pimple and didn't want to stay taking hormones for the rest of my life. I didn't break out for a couple of months until now. I had like 7-8 pimples around my jaw and mouth during the same week. And the thing is I always break out after my period. Any tips?

    Just an FYI: vitamin b5 is a water soluble vitamin which means your body will only use what it NEEDS and then it will flush out the rest with water. If you are taking more than the recommended dose of vitamin b5 (I take waaay over) you need to make sure you’re HYDRATING so the rest can flush out.
    Vitamin A is a FAT soluble vitamin which means it will store in your fat if you take more than the recommended dose. This can lead to hypervitaminosis which is too much vitamin in the body.
    Obviously do your own research but keep that in mind if you’re wanting to try this out. Maybe start with the recommended dose of vitamin A and go from there!

    after watching this video I decided to buy the recommended vitamins and already after four days of taking them my skin is less oily and spots have began to clear plus i do feel more energised. I have been dealing with acne for years, and I am now at the point with being 19 where i cant take having bad skin anymore. I am an advocate for the natural route However if this treatment doesn't work fully i shall be taking acutane, as I have not only changed my diet to pescatarian (basically a vegan diet with just the inclusion of a lot of seafood), but have tried every treatment possible to clear it. I find sunbeds work great for clearing acne, however there are obvious negative side effects such as too much uv exposure. But when you have acne you will do whatever it takes to have clear, healthy skin which allows you to leave the house, speak to people and hold eye contact and socialise.

    idk but i really am believing that acne and dry skin is interlinked because now im putting all kinds of oils on my face: tamanu, argan, rosehip seed, carrot seed, jojoba even shea butter sometimes....i mix them a lot and my face? no acne anymore, maybe one rare pimple a year. i dont even wash my face, only wipe w/ water and then put on my oils. soap and cleansers are too harsh and cause dry skin i believe. but my back? i still get acne and i dont take care of it or put any oils like i do my face....so im thinking if i do the same to my back as my face itll totally clear up? maybe....but im gonna try vit b5 and see what happens. i also saw in another vid that u should take acetyl l-carnitine w/ vit b5 so it wont give u side effects

    • @clearskinhabits
      @clearskinhabits 6 лет назад

      For blackheads, that's a different issue. Try exfoliating and using face peels to help uproot the blackheads. To be honest, acne can increase with more heat, but sun actually doesn't cause acne alone. In fact, winter can be a time when people get more acne.
