I can boil my love for Colombia down to Ayuasca, cheap prices, and girls. It's definitely a lovely place but the social fabric is much lower especially for gringos. There is a lot of Jungian collective consciousness hate for gringos. Which I can understand but it doesn't change the fact that I get a lot of unearned projections

Why is this guy so negative? He talked about his life, travelling, working online for good money during one of the hardest times for the world, and now living in Colombia. He mentioned, stepping over homeless people on the street and still, somehow is so incredibly unappreciative and negative - Colombia, the noise, and fellow expats. It's like the US programmed their people to be self-destructive. It's so sad, really. I do not think you understood Carl Young´s words.

It appears that you might be struggling to appreciate life. YOUR LIFE, Rather than expressing your admiration for it, you've used strong language, complained about noise, and mentioned how everything in Medellin keeps you busy. You used the word "hate" more than once. I want to emphasize that I'm not trying to hate, but I really want to help, as I used to feel the same way for a long time, and I don't want others to go through that. Even though I believe the US might have a role in this, it's really import to take responsibility. At the end of the day, your life isn't difficult , and you are technically blessed. @@JakeRunnels
