Tourists can walk down the street with suitcases. The savages will get you in Colombia and you’ll be blamed for it. It’s a shitty way to live .

The most boring and overrated gastronomy in the world. Colombia has over 500 dishes in its gastronomy assets. Just the soups are the best of all I know after eating in restaurants from all around the world.

I'm colombian and i still surprised people want to move there. 40% poverty rate, high crime, high single mother rate, if you want to eat something different like that is not colombian is too difficult to find, if you can't eat beef or pork for cultural or religious reasons good luck because most places they put that to the food, there is class system called 'estrato' which divided the people, if you don't like the same music or look too different you can feel the hostility from some people, looks matter a lot and age if you want to get a job here, even putting a physical business you are risk of having to pay the protection fee from some criminals. Even making friends or finding a partner is hard the moment they know you are a foreigner and don't speak spanish some people would try to take advantage of you. The only thing worth coming here is nature. Not to be negative but other countries are better option.

Says he has no plans of returning to the United States. Not sure who out of all the RUclipsrs has the longest time in Colombia. I believe David has around 7 years under his belt. Sounds like you're looking for a European country or place with white people. If that's the case then don't go to Latin America.
@@JakeRunnels there were alot of pros, people were nice and some cute girls. Seemed easy to get dates w women on tinder. But overall it just wasnt my vibe. I think the hyper inflation is just so obvious and even tho US dollars go far, some prices were super low and others were out of control high. And for the locals you can feel it in the air a sense of hopelessness with economic situation. It might be a better place to spend with a romantic lover but i just felt it lacked a lot of uniqueness

@@JakeRunnels I’ve been to Brazil, and I would define it as if Argentina and the DR had a baby, and that baby would speak Portuguese and have better education that their parents (there is a more developed network of university system, airports and infrastructure in general, in Brazil, compared to other areas of Latin America)
@@JakeRunnels I think the Brazilian people have a kindness more similar to Mexicans/Colombians, rather than Argentinians, which are a little arrogant sometimes (although with Argentinians is easier to have more interesting conversations, in terms of having “deep or intelectual conversations”). And also, outside Rio, there’s not as many international tourists (leaving aside Chileans and Argentinians in coastal resort areas). So culture-wise, it feels a more “culturally genuine” country, and as a foreigner you caught the attention way more than in other touristy-flooded Hispanic American countries (that are more used to see Gringos). I was in some beautiful coastal towns in Northeast Brazil, with beautiful beaches, for about 4-5 days, and I didn’t see any Gringo, European or Asian tourist whatsover. That is very different from Punta Cana or Cartagena, I would say (I didn’t been to Colombia, but in Punta Cana I saw tons of Asian and American tourists). Brazil is an amazing country, but it gets even more amazing if you leave the greater Rio area.

Cali colombia has very few tourists. It is a bit dangerous though and hard to trust people.
