about 1350 years ago, we have a decline trend about 20 years and then about 1250 years we have a longer decline which about a century and then we have another decline in 650 of Hijra which could be counted either way result in the same number since it was the middle. And during last 600 years we have experienced many tiny declines some for decade or more than a decade and today we have been experiencing a major decline like many in the past.

first of all, you've to rely on the Holy Quran, and then the Arab but the problem with the Arabs is that no book you can rely on but narrated words, and another hard problem is how to purify the right knowledge from written books by none Arabic people. So it is not easy as most people think, and it will take brother Abdulraheem long time to find the position that he is looking for among Muslims, I would say thirty years with hard work per day in gaining knowledge could make Abdulraheem a great muslim scholar, and for slow pace it will take longer. so if you've started at age 20 years no less than in your 50's you will become a young scholar but if you've done it later, you may only have 20 years or less of scholarship. It also depends greatly one your mind ability, because effort do make good result but having the two will make you more acceptable by Muslim world. Muslims also will ask a fundamental question-what Abdulraheem has made to british Muslims? what his ability either financially or politically and what he has made and then what he has made to European Muslims and then what he has made to all people.
Last thing I would like to highlight is the fact of cross road you've talked about in the past, well, God have stated clearly in the Quran that Muslims will encounter many roads that seems to have a lucrative gain in the future as they would realize at first and God obliged all Muslims to look back always to the first two decades of Gods' last prophet and continue with the same road that God have chosen for them to gain the ultimate power that all nations are seeking for.
