    Has anyone else noticed why it's pretty amazing for the £10,000 and £250,000 to be the last 2 boxes on a Deal or No Deal birthday show? Why? They were at the end of the game that was Deal or No Deal's 1st Birthday in October / November 2006!

      The last 5 boxes were exactly the same in both episodes!

    Love how so many people are calling his final offer "shit", completely ignoring the fact be had a 2 in 3 shot of doubling it to £100,000.
    I would've just about taken it myself, as I'd definitely Deal £100,000 on that finish and I wouldn't be too upset if the candles didn't work out and I "only" got £50,000, and clearly Andy felt the same, so he made absolutely the right decision without hindsight.

    Someone was left with 1p & 250k yet got offered 88k. This is bollocks

    • @bencalebrod

      To be fair his final offer was a 2 in 3 shot at £100,000, he just unlucky with the candles. David J got a stingier final offer than Andy (a straight £70,000) on the 1st Birthday show.

      When you put it like that £50,000 does make The Banker sounds like a complete CHEAPSKATE

      £88k seems a reasonable guaranteed amount to walk away with when you could have the penny.

    £50,000? Are you taking the mick with a finish like that? Should have been at least £75-80K minimum.

    • @Busher50
      @Busher50 5 лет назад +2

      Yeah but there would be a great risk of the banker losing 160k. 50k is right with a good chance to double

    • @OfficialAsh2508
      @OfficialAsh2508 4 года назад

      I think a fair offer would be £65,000 on a board like that with the 2 candles on a normal game should be £85,000 £50,000 was way to low.

    • @DanTheStripe
      @DanTheStripe 3 года назад +3

      He had a 2/3rds chance of doubling it to £100k. It was a fair offer.

    The banker was a tight-arsed bar steward with that £50k offer. If he feigned confidence rather than being so highly emotional, he would probably have been offered around £100k without those candles.

      The object of the game is to buy the box as cheaply as he can.
      If you watch more of these shows you will see the banker was a VERY clever man... He played the player... He lowballed this coward..sorry this player... and it worked

      @@briansaiditsoitmustbetrue4206 Yes, I've noticed this. Would it be a good tactic to present as a confident gambler who is prepared to go all the way, in the hope of squeezing better offers in the later stages? Mind you, I imagine he's aware of that tactic.

    £9,000 at 5 box was so shocking even with 2 candles the a fair offer would be £20,000-£25,000 & 2 candles cos even if Andy found a good candle at 5 box £18,000 doubled from £9,000 would be still low & stingy 2 box offer should off been atleast £60,000-£70,000 & 2 candles £50,000 was so insulting really not sure what I would off done at 2 box though to be honest.

    • @bencalebrod
      @bencalebrod Год назад

      David J was offered £25,000 on that EXACT 5 box on the 1st Birthday show, and even that felt like a stingy offer for the board!
      In both cases, though, the Banker was clearly lowballing in hopes of producing a big finish for such a special show.
