@@lmCIoudz halfway through 2023 here and this truck *still* never gets old. It's a crying shame that so many people make them into lame mall crawlers. After I'm done fixing up my current 2nd Gen (my Dad's old truck) I'm thinking very strongly about getting a dually and setting it up similar to this one. Since becoming a Trucker driving the Big Boy Rigs I've become a lot more partial to dual wheel pickups in general. Still got a '95-98 Peterbilt 379 on the ol wishlist though, so IDK where I'm going to get the money for all these projects. 😅
The sound of the engine definitely overpowers the sound of the exhaust with the muffler installed as it would in the OEM setup. I like the torque demonstration of pulling the bed apart while letting out the clutch, the engine hardly even noticed it. If you tried to do that very same thing with a manual v8 diesel, the engine would noticeably bog down and you'd hear the loud gear rollover noise if it were a ZF6. You might even need to give it a bit of throttle too unlike the Cummins. The v8 diesels don't have the same stump pulling torque down low that the inline cummins has. Of course, doing the same thing with an automatic trans in a v8 would be a different story but you feel it greatly in a manual setup. The v8 diesels make all their power starting in the mid range and up.
I have the exact same truck, and I'm pretty sure I just bought the exact same muffler, for the exact same reasons haha. Where did you install your muffler relative to rear of the cab?
Damn that’s a nice looking truck. I do like it better with the muffler for the fact I drive highway a lot and would prefer less drone. With the muffler it still sounds good. Still some turbo whistle. Nice!
Big chevy guy but not wanting to mess with a egr in the lly or lbz. This is by far my second favorite truck and you got mighty fine one. That truck has some cleats.
Yaay a new video. I got a video of my dads new (to him) dodge ram 3500 dually 4x4 with the 24v cummins. Its a automatic (with a shift kit) we are thinking its got a factory tune on it (mo powa baby)
I have the same truck and wondering if you could provide the size of the wheel & tires? I'm looking to change mine out for larger, wider tires, wheels. Thanks.
unbolt the bed from the truck then lift it off 2 person job easy don't hook a freaking tiedown strap and pull it off dang teenagers get some since into your heads
I am a huge Ford guy but I think my favorite looking truck is the 2nd gen cummins dually. Sick truck man
Thank you!
@@floridafenceland1137 I just found this video again bro and your truck is still bad ass
Thanks bud!!!

Yeah I definitely agree with you on that
Love the 2nd gen sound. It should be jail time trying to muffle a Cummins. Lol :)
i agree, take muffler off
The Cummins sound is getting annoying??? Said no one ever lol 😂 if you think that's annoying. Try axle dumping it with a strt pipe
I did that😂
They both sound really good
I just bought a Ram 2008 with a 6.7 but use to own a 96 12v. The 5.9 sounds much better imo. Great vid btw.
The new exhaust sounds like the stock exhaust lol
Right lol it’s a little louder but I like it
The Diesel Ranch yeah I personally would have left it straight piped but that just because I like loud ass stuff
Waay to quiet lol
Is that a bad thing?
@@md_randoms2429 yes quiet = bad
Tire size and spacers on the back? I love the look.

Great truck. I have a 97 3500 Cummins. Iam ready to upgrade the tires to 315 75 r 16. Did you install a leveling kit in the front?
Yeah just a 2 inch spacer, a 2.5 or 3 would’ve made it move level
What size tires are you running
I have the exact same truck, and I'm pretty sure I just bought the exact same muffler, for the exact same reasons haha. Where did you install your muffler relative to rear of the cab?
Is it the 2wd? If yes what lift you have on the front?
Love the exhaust! Now I am curious in the tires and tire size you are running?
thanks! they are 35s on 17s
Damn that’s a nice looking truck. I do like it better with the muffler for the fact I drive highway a lot and would prefer less drone. With the muffler it still sounds good. Still some turbo whistle. Nice!
I liked the muffler a lot as well! Perfect mix of the 2
Hows that tire scrub treatin ya lol

What year is your truck
Big chevy guy but not wanting to mess with a egr in the lly or lbz. This is by far my second favorite truck and you got mighty fine one. That truck has some cleats.

Now why would you do that you can’t even hear the turbo anymore

Do you have block in the back or just front spacers
Rear was factory and front was 2 inch
Yaay a new video. I got a video of my dads new (to him) dodge ram 3500 dually 4x4 with the 24v cummins. Its a automatic (with a shift kit) we are thinking its got a factory tune on it (mo powa baby)

I wish I could tell ya, sold the truck lol
Is it for sale
It was but I

Beautiful truck man
Thanks buddy!
Any lift or is it just a 2 in level?
Just 2 inch level
Sounds like you need batteries. Maybe makimg sure it cranks strong and starts should be more important than a muffler
Nahhh lol
Thought I was the only one that noticed
It ended up being a bad starter
Got link for muffler?

Strait pipe inline diesel sound amazing but gets annoying when doing alot of long hauls
No mufflers on the 12v lol
50 degrees is not a cold start lol
Best we can do in Florida brother lol
i cant believe youve done this
😂😂😂
It may have been 3 yrs ago but putting a muffler on a Cummins is a sin
Must have failed inspection lol
If only we had inspections LOL
bro.... that's not even a cold start
It’s Florida bud lol that’s cold 😂😂
