How did it affect the turbo with back pressure and all that? I have mine straight piped really short it's so loud it's annoying and I'm thinking that I'm not getting up that pressure or my chips not working
i know the exhaust itself is laud with the 5 inch and tip, but does it pop real loud around 2000 rpm's when driving like if it was screamin its guts out.?
Yeah these truck are magnets for stupid kids with more dreams than money. You have to look them over very carefully. I have two and both had some corners cut that I had to fix the right way. Check everything! Open the fuse panel and see how they have additional stuff powered.
Yeah it's always nice to find the cherry trucks that haven't been touched. But it is VERY hard to find. That said, if you can find one bombed by someone that actually knew what they were doing and had the money to do it right, you can save yourself a lot of money too. Since mods don't add much resale value. I'd never buy a lifted ruck though. Guys lift them, blow out every suspension piece and dump them on someone else.
just remember, thats what happens when you try to tame a beast like that. they want to keep going and chirp the belt. i replaced mine too and it lasted about 4k miles until the chirping came back, youll learn to love it. no other engine does it.

Why is there a screech when the engine winds down on shut off? I’ve noticed all the 5.9 trucks in my fleet make the same screech sound.

cummins 1998 the turbo screams but there's no popping noise
cummins 1998 o yea mine is a 5in straight. after 2k the entire pitch of the exhaust changes

lol mine squeaks when i shut it off too replaced the belt and it went away. i miss it though
