I have an Ola S1 pro eScooter. At $1800, it can go 70mph and a 75 mile range on a charge, it's an amazing bike. It may be introduced to the USA in 2023.
Yeah but can Indian scooters take into account the environmental differences because it may have plenty of range but then again indian e scooters are built for india, if you brought an indian e scooter to america you'd have to deal with a lot of things including winter compatibility and if the material used is strong enough to not break or malfunction on the cold
class 3 you have to pedal assist it to 28mph, class 2 you can use throttle only to reach 20mph but you still need functional pedals to be classified as a class 2 ebike. If you use throttle only to reach 30mph, then it is a moped, and you cannot share lanes with ebikes.
From India: just review the Ather 450x, Ola electric scooter and simple energy electric scooter, and you will know how bad this segway scooter is - price as well as performance wise
Hopefully the new escooter can pass the dutch type approval it looks like it got double mechanical brakes just need some mirrors and blinkers and then it's good to pass type approval

Yeah I’ve contemplated this a lot but when buying Segway you get unmatched reliability and support teams also service centers. One of my buddies got a similarly spec scooter as to my ninebot max, which is a Hiboy s2 pro which he payed 650 for vs I payed 1000 for my ninebot. Story short he got it January last year and it stopped working vs my 5 year old ninebot runs like it’s still new.

Ebikes are far less cheaper and go just as fast if not faster if you break the governors. As usual, Segway comes out with an overpriced scooter for the folks with money to waste/burn.

That skateboard design is lame lol I got the meepo v3 and I love it. For a skateboard I would recommend that bran all day. Iblce always wanted one of the Segway scooters but for the price you can get something that works better for much less money. I am excited about the moped thou, been watching those since they were launched overseas. Excited for when they come to America. 35mph is a joke. I can go 27mph on my ebike and 80mph on my electric motorcycle. At the minimum, it should do 45mph if you’re paying for insurance and registration, and that’s for any moped.
unless you are not going on any road at all, otherwise at least from where I live, moped does not make a lot of sense. A moped is something less than 50cc and does not go beyond 30mph, and you have to ride it on the extreme right side of the road, which to me is painful...I can only see this being used on campus or similar set up. if you are out of college, I think the c80 emoped, which does not require licensing as well and you can ride it in bike lanes, or a scooter-motorcycle that goes beyond 30 miles will make more sense.

30mph is not safe for street use 45 it’s where the power needs to be not all roads are 30mph they very from that speed to the max speed which is 45 , it’s not fun or safe when u got cars honking at you and speed past and around you

I wish for this model they made it at least 60V 1500W Motor/ 60V 30ah Batt./ 40-45MPH top speed/ 70mi range/ have retractable foot pegs like the C80 (which I have/LOVE)! The 88 nm of torque that it does have...I'm not sure how that feels off the line etc....but the E300SE has 200 nm of torque MAX!
The 35 mile range is very disappointing for that scooter's capacity let alone it's size. Obviously they just wanted to push the consumer to buy the upgraded battery at an extra cost
It’s cool and all but when your spending 3k and over why would you cap it at 37-43mph that’s a waste of money i paid 3k for my kaabo wolf king and it hits 60 mph so to me when you’re getting 3K and up it’s disrespectful for it to go less then at least 55mph
One major flaw with these standing e scooters it's very dangerous. It doesn't have balance if you try to steer or holding the handle bar with one hand. You can literally fall. The whole unit doesn't have enough height to balance like how riding a regular bike it due to the very small wheels. You have to keep both hands on the steering handle bars. Not worth the money to get seriously injuries. Ebikes are a lot safer. More balance. You ride moderately with one hand on the handle bar!
The moped is a joke. I’m sure it will be great for rental companies, but why would anyone buy that? You can get a Honda Ruckus, not have to lug around heavy batteries, and get 150 miles of range on a little more than a single gallon of gas. And a ruckus is only $2800 compared to $3500.
That scooters top speed is not going to cut. It makes me wonder how they even decide on what to build. Too fast and big for a bike lane. Too slow for a city street. I feel like it’s so far off the mark they may not actually want to sell any.
Completely agree. If this was on a HUD in a car windshield this would be different but it's a 2x4 inch screen facing immediately down in front of you vs forward where maybe you can argue its usefulness at all
Electric Unicycles (EUC) for that price can go faster and have twice the range! EUCs are not even the fastest, top speed wise, PEVs out there, my goodness. I've seen cheaper Electric Kick Scooters (EKS) that can go faster and have better range than that mopped...
OK electric cars and selfdrive articulated truck will be able zoom at 0to60 beyond but these little ebike scooter at this price can't keep up 40mph basic , without improve speed we ll have both range anxiety and raging road users to contend with a incremental step forward no smoke let see

Shredder is good for older people and those with imbalance issues. A lot of safety in that vs a two wheel scooter.
The Aprilia Scooters and Mopeds look far more modern, sleek, and do not look like a version of US square boxes on wheels.
