I strumbled across this video researching eMopeds. Imagine my shock/surprise when half way through the video I RECOGNIZE BIG SPRING PARK! So cool to see this in action in my own neighborhood :D
I've put over 400 km on mine so far. Using it to commute to work and small grocery trips. It's a blast and gets alot of attention and the best part, costs pennies on the dollar to use. It's perfect single person transportation in today's crazy gas price era
The main feature I on the bike is the horn, and foot pegs. When it came to scooter I always hated putting my feet on a floor board. It's nice bike perfect for college, high school students or just something to have fun on. It's nothing like a gas engine though but nice product.
I love that compressor. It has been so useful for me. It’s two degrees difference between pumping or not. Everyone needs to get one. I use it for my house of lithium to pump my suspension up to 150psi. Keep up the good work. Love your videos.
I’ve been looking around at electric mopeds. Had no idea Segway made more than those things you stand on. I’ve been comparing some e mopeds to e bikes. Schwinn and such. And some other off-brand e mopeds. But I think I may go with this Segway. Absolutely love the features and sounds. It’s such a great price compared to some of the ones I’ve seen.
Omg you did this review today! I’m so tempted to buy one right now! It’s super cute & looks good for me cause mostly everything is flat ground in my city. ❤️
3:04 "Manly, rough and tough?" It's a horn from an ebike. Besides, horns have no gender. The aesthetic is something vespa-like. The purpose is to be an ebike. I'm pretty sure no other cyclists would like to have a "manly, rough and tough" horn on the bike lane. Other than that great video. Particularly enjoyed the hill shot, it really shows how the C80 behaves under stress.
bro i must say all ur videos on ur channel on e vehicles are very very entertaining....especially ur previous video on that go kart thing was one of my fav of all times
honestly segway is actually making some good stuff recently. kinda weird to think they started out making well segways and now they have made, electric mountain bikes/dirtbikes, go-karts, scooters, and now mopeds. also very good review good job ben :) also for the segway dirt-ebike apparently it was not as good as it looks. seen some reviews on it and it's pretty much just a rebranded underpowered surron. i would not recommend getting one, but I do want to see you do a review on it. i honestly think that you would like it.
@@MrZanderLi The Segway X260 is just a rebranded SurRon. Literally the exact same bike but with an app (and quite a a bit more expensive). They also make the X160, which is just a slower SurRon with a lower ride height.
Thank you. I’ve been covering this model in the lt. Blue/Orange palette but it’s out of stock. Do you know if they plan to upgrade and come out with a new model? Also…..What town is this where you filmed?
Great video.. looks fantastic.. I love the Honda Spree because of the size and this Segway looks very similar.. the Spree only weighs 85lbs which much be lighter than the Segway. And yeah if you could get 25mph possibly by a firmware update it would be about as fast as one.
Help me pls, I bought a used moped, I can't connect to Bluetooth, how do I do it? The orange light is on when I'm driving on the road and the moped stops
I just ordered one from Best Buy.. 1,899 on sale. I'm looking for something comfortable and relaxing I can go for cruises on.. bike trails , sidewalks and bike lanes without having to license/insure/get tags for.. and this does the trick. I'll strap a basket to that rack on the back and should be good. Hopefully a firmware hack will enable a bit more speed/power. I think 25mph would be great and 30 would be ideal. .. even if it does cut the range down a third or so. Also I'm all for helmets but having an option to take it off if I'm not on a street would be nice as well.
What do you do when you get a flat? I really want to get this but my concern is who do you go to if there's a problem I live in Miami Florida and some bike shops work on electric bikes but this one might be pushing the limits for some of them, and what happens if there is a motor failure or you get an error problem like a lot of their scooters did in the beginning I had one and it was a nightmare to deal with I can't imagine trying to ship this back anywhere
So between the gokart and emoped what would you use more often and why? I have the pro gokart is fast but its also low and sitting on it and standing up so often kinda hurts the back a little, this is slower but seems fun to cruise around and was thinking selling the gokart to get this but I wanna hear others opinion aswell
I really wish the base speed for these were 30 mph instead of 20. I want a little more power out of these cause I want to zip around a bit more but I really love everything about this! The colors are really awesome! If it went faster I would try to get one 🙂
@@DuskLegend Hmm, that sounds great! :D Any recommendations? That would pretty much do the job for me :) I'm just trying to zip around the city a little bit get some sunshine :)
@@TheJayy420 Yeah that is the problem -.- if I need to get an M1 license I'd just get a bike :/ but I don't want that I'd like something like this or like you said a moped
Considering this bike. Any concerns about battery life over the long haul? It looks like this is discontinued and don't want to get a bike without support. Ant thoughts?
What I don't understand is how does the C80 send any message (GPS location; alarms; etc...) to the phone remotely? without on the Internet, how far is the range?
I think I see a problem with the brake light being hidden under that shelf thingymagic. For now in most of the western world the SUV/Crossover class car is still rising in populairity, not forgetting that North America is also the land of big pick-up trucks and in most car models in those segments of cars, the driver sit fairly high above the ground. The eMoped C80 is small, which is not a problem, but with the rear/brake light unit being where it is, drivers in those larger car segments might not see you braking, even if they have sufficient distance from you.
@@chris59499 the point I was making there is that Segway likes to exaggerate their mileage based on my buying experience of their flagship product. I don’t know anything about this battery/motor combo so I couldn’t comment on how far it should be able to go in miles or kilometers, which is different from how fast it goes which is what you’re discussing, oddly.
That look sick. I might actually buy this since in my country you need to be 16 to buy a moped and this is a e bike limited to 20mph so this is ok to ride. Sadly i dont have the money. Should i sell my pc and get one ?
Other than looking cool, this has no benefits of this over the ninebot max G30 (40 mile range) +seat. That one has similar performance and range but cost less than half of this and weights less than 1/3 of this. And doesn't look like a motorcycle when you try to ride on the bike lane which pisses most people off, while you certainly can't ride this on the road at 20mph.
You cannot enjoy a bike this slow that cannot climb hills at all. You need an after-market e-technician to help improve the torque (if they can) but it would limit the distance. It may also mean it no longer qualifies as an e-bike.
