I love my C80 so much that we bought another one. We ride it as a family around the neighborhood and to the local shops for morning breakfast. It’s perfect for what we wanted it, which is to putt around the neighborhood and enjoy the scenery.
I had a moped for a few years in the 90's. Aside from the pedals being used to start the engine, they worked just like the C80. You could pedal the moped; however, you could walk and push it faster.
@@axemanners6643 Haha, yes. I think it was circa 1980. A Motron Moped. It could barely get up to 25 mph. "Pedal assist" to get up some of the steeper hills.
I want an electric step-through scooter for use at our vacation home on the island of Brac, Croatia. This has the style and the range sounds perfect, but I need much more speed, 35mph ideally. Hopefully v2.0 will meet my needs.
Design and features look awesome, but I agree: Scrap or rework the bicycle pedals and increase the max. speed to at least 50 kilometers / 32 miles per hour.
Is disposal of a pile of steel really an issue in any city? In Chicago and surrounding areas steel left in the alley will usually be gone in less than 24 hours.
I think the reason why the max speed is only 20mph is that class-2 e-bikes can only go as fast as 20mph. To be classified as a class 3 with a max speed of 28mph, the bike needs to be pedal assist only and it will be unreasonable to pedal this thing.
Pedals or for emergency use also, and you can't underestimate the importance of decent suspension on roads and tracks, it looks pretty crappy, build your own or get a sur ron you should also get your basic motorcycle training / licenses just for extra road training
Honestly not so much with this style of bike. The center of gravity is more towards the back. Breaking hard in the front is really only an issue for bicycles, especially the racing kind where you’re practically leaning over the handlebars.
Ariel X Class 52V came to mind, but that is a very different style of bike. If speed and off road capabilities aren't a concern, the C80 is fantastic. Make sure to buy it through REVRides if you end up deciding on it!
hi, the automatic light is a huge problem. if the bike can drive by its own (without pedaling) light needs to stay on all day in most countries in europe.
Ethan & Jesse, have you or will you guys review the Onewheel XR or new GT? I could not wait for your review so I got one, Spoiler Alert it’s almost as fun an EV as the Y
The main problem with these things is getting it fixed if something goes wrong. After-sale support is usually tucked away as if they don't want to even bother. Only risk buying these unconventional machines if they're not your only source of transportation.
Generally speaking that is correct, but REV Rides actually has fantastic customer support/service. So if you buy through them (which you definitely should) you don't have to worry about dealing with poor customer service
Great moped but it`s 1000$ to expensive. For 2200$ there`s a lot better scooters out there (chineese af course) or just e-bikes if we`re into the bikes..
The Segway C80 is a ripoff. Ours is totally dead after minimal (tooling around a two-mile or less neighborhood) use while being kept in an insulated garage. I doubt we have over 25 hours of total use time on the thing. Segway says it is a battery issue and is out of warranty. A new battery would cost $800? WTF?
Wow you threw away perfectly good metal from case? Wasteful! So useful load 250lbs about, 1kWh battery weight over 120lbs. Compare that to step through Radwagon from rad bikes. 350lbs capacity, 0.67kWh battery and 80lbs weight adjustable seat and goes 40mile with light pedaling. Has throttle for no pedal riding and is $2000, so why would you buy this scooter over a E-bike?
Why would I want some crappy little electric scooter that I have to connect to a smartphone? Buying a used yamaha zuma for the same price would be better.
That is attempting to sell to different customers. I wouldn’t buy the x160 because that’s not what I bought a Segway for, I personally went with the Onyx RCR.
We didn't get a chance to test that out, but we would love to get the Segway Gokart Pro which might come with the speaker so if we get our hands on that we will be sure to talk about it in the video!

All the specs seem to be exactly what my old moped was like, just without the 2-stroke engine.
@@marcdenlinger5282 you had a crappy one then. They used to do 30-32mph at 49cc, which didn't need registration & insurance.

Great review guys - I saw one in a store in Miami and I loved it. My only concern is the weather heat and rain…

I believe they limit the speed so that it is within bicycle classification and to share lanes with bicycles.

How tall are you guys? Is this bike large enough for a full grown adult (6 feet or better)?

Would 10 miles be okay ?
If there is a weak break in the back and a strong break in the front, you could be thrown over the front of the bike if you break hard.

Could this be modified in the aftermarket to add torque and power. Is this not deliberately limited?
can i get link to the tire and tube for it please
I wonder if you can swap out the wheel for a 1000w third party part
I wonder will the surgeon 72watt battery Wud fit in this
Great video !
Thanks
Hey guys great review! What are some of the ""other options that are faster" and can hit more terrain that you mention in passing?

hi, the automatic light is a huge problem. if the bike can drive by its own (without pedaling) light needs to stay on all day in most countries in europe.
The 20mph isn't a technical limitation. They made it 20mph (and the power to match) to target escooter laws.

We would really like to, we just have to talk to Onewheel more about it. Hopefully we can make something happen in the spring or summer!
its a class 2 e bike ,,, if it went 25 it would be a class 3 and the rules are different,,, i live in a small town this is perfect for me
这辆车还可以解开速度限制,可以增加三分之一的速度。你需要百度查一下
Bros can I buy it from y'all used

35-40mph is my minimum speed for a EV like this I’d rather get a EBike lol
Just use the metal cage as a display cabinet or a cabinet. It seems to be easily convertible into a cabinet.
Say cabinet one more time
@@franciscallahan2529 cabinet 😶🌫
Still think personal transport like this is perfect for 90% of your daily.
Bruh that thing can't climb a 3 degree incline
U are better off with a regular bicycle
Over 2G's down the rainy day cookie jar and out the window.
I wouldn't even waste my money on this..wth was they thinking 🤦🏾♂️

I purchased in China for a combination of 880 US dollars

Nope. The Catrike E-cat is far more comfortable.

Cool eBike. Thanks for your review... 😀 "Ninebot Engine Speaker $149.99", did you get a chance to try it out?
