It’s sad that I have to create a comment for a video that should have been self-explanatory… 😪
For one, this video will mostly, if not only, resonate with and/or inform those who grew up in western countries. So if you are not quite comprehending what I’m saying overall, and you’ve not spent most of your life in a Western country, then that’s okay.
Second, my best travel experiences out of everywhere I have traveled, have been on the continent of AFRICA, and I am VERY financially secure to SUCCESSFULLY make my life anywhere I want.. including my OWN (U.S.)…. So don’t make yourself look silly by insinuating that I am throwing some sort of ‘shade’ at Africa or at anyone else that have made their lives on the continent or any other country…. That’s just an oxymoron at this point 😅
Third, it’s okay for the diaspora to move abroad and talk nothing but beautiful things and give beautiful praises to other countries, but the moment someone wants to speak objectively and give a balanced perspective, then they are demonized…. I was very balanced in my message. I literally said NO WHERE in the WORLD is perfect and to choose the BEST place for you! Why did I say this?… because these RUclips diaspora streets are a hot ass mess!! And there are a slew of people who are aspiring to travel off of the romanticized content that they are viewing. I don’t have to mention the specifics.. but I believe that some of the incidents that have been occurring could be prevented, or they can be good for shedding light to others who aspire to take the same route!
Lastly, I am not a therapist, but I do specialize in mindfulness living/healing, and have helped others… If you feel that my channel or this recent video is a detriment to your mental, physical, spiritual, or emotional well-being, then please unsubscribe and BLOCK me dear…. ❤
    Love,
    TheQueen Ki ✨

Great insight!! It is so important to think of all of these things before running to another country. I have had friends as well as family members that didn't ask enough questions/consider all of the details... run to France and even to Africa and ended up coming back to the USA! It is crucial to consider everything because each country is different and is different from the USA. I do agree with avoiding bashing our country to lift another. I am still working on this! No place is perfect as you said!!

Queen, THANK YOU. After much prayer and consideration (and research), I realized the country I was "romanticizing" about, while it's a good fit for some, it just won't be a good fit for my semi-retirement. It was hard to take off the table, but like you said, you have to really take a good look at the country in it's entirety, good and not so good. It's a big wide world out there, lots to consider, and I won't be hasty in my decision. Enjoy Thailand my sister! 🙏🏽

Heard you on Yanie's live! Love you! Glad you let go of religion. I pray you stay with Yah (God). Ppl use the scriptures for their benefit when the scriptures don't support their interpretation of them. I feel like you already know that, but I feel like I should still reiterate that. Keep up the good work and Yah bless!

This was great. Very informative and most importantly, honest. I agree with everything you said. Traveling is amazing but yes, do your research and manage your expectations. Great to see you back.

GREAT VIDEO sis!! This hit home for me in so many ways. Especially that part about the "Foreign Tax." That was something that was soooo difficult for me to adjust to while I was in Kenya. One thing I always tell people about long-term travel, is that you will understand just how American you are. Hopefully that leads to some more respect and pride for our home country...anywho, I could talk about this for hours lol Everything was spot on, thank you for blessing us per usual! Looking forward to the Thailand content! 💜

This was so helpful, thank you! I am planning on traveling next winter, Dec-March to avoid the cold in Minnesota, US. Do you have any recommendations? I am leaning towards Caribbean / Haiti this year so I can work remotely in the same time zone, then next year travel around Africa and save to maybe buy in apartment somewhere I like (I know South Africa you can get a retirement visa or 5 year work visa)

America is not the world's setter of standards or culture. So there is nothing wrong with culture shocks, they are basically you experiencing something differently than what you are used to and some of them there are good things to learn from because you are seeing things from a different perspective. I don't think people should have a complete negative view of culture shocks. The world would be such a boring place with just one culture.
And people have different perspectives, I don't think people should seen as bad by expressing their opinions if we don't agree with them, if someone feels like their new home country is better than their own country, that's their opinion based on their experiences, unless if there is an unqualified conclusion that the US is the best country in the world, then that would mean that anyone talking bad about US is wrong.

Greetings this was very well done and it made me refelect on my own journey and something you said was not to glorify the country that you live in to make others feel better that is something that I have not done. My philosophy is to be as honest as it is necessary, I will not glorify any country to anyone I will state the facts. When you said that the US is your culture, memories etc. For me it might be some good memories but not my culture as I am not a native. I am also not considered a native by some of the country to where I was born . So for me I just state the facts about all and yes it is important to be spiritually, emotinally, physically ready to embark a journey to any country. Even though I was prepared for my current Sojourn it was still challenging but I now I have a great plan in place for my continued Sojourn. Best wishes (subscriber)

Your comprehension and ability to not respond out of emotion is impeccable! 😍…. And I love this for you! I’m excited for your future journeys! ✨One thing to note: I can only imagine how much you may struggle with identity of culture as you are sort of in the middle of both! I send you positive healing energies on your journey through clarity and self-discovery… 🥰 Explore it all!!!!

@@TheQueenKiTravels Appreciate your feedback fortunately for me I got my self-discovery 9 years ago where I know now that I am a soul experiencing life through this body, so the identities of country, place, religion, male female no longer applies which lifts a lot of the burden of my overall experiences. "Hence having the ability to not respond out of emotions" So it's a Sojourn of the soul and the physical body so I'm set for life. My relationship stems only around the One source of everything and to me that is God, Baba, Allah, Abba whatever endearing name we have for the Supreme Source of everything. So no struggle for me I'm fortunate as it relates to that.🥰
