    That spring drive technology combines the best of old and new world technology. I can’t believe they were able to do it to deliver that level of accuracy.
    Grand Seiko is definitely going to be my next purchase. I would probably go for the winter edition, but the spring is amazing too.

    If you want a high quality hand made watch these grand seikos are hard to beat for the money. I suspect they will go up in value as time passes. They will get very popular.

    GS watches are absolutely stunning in person. It is impossible to appreciate the amazing finishing in photos or videos.

    Maybe the most unique dial under 10k, what do you all think?

    Love this variation too! GS is really putting out some dope stuff, makes me re-think getting an Omega.

    This GS should have been the poster child model instead of the Snowflake. It beats SF so decisively in case construction and wearability. Its dial is no less beautiful either. GS should really consider either: 1. Discontinue 41mm Snowflake to replace it with 39mm ones instead or 2. Discontinue it altogether and make Seasons collection available globally. They do certainly know that this Seasons collection is far superior to any other GSs in USD 4-6.000 price bracket, I’m just puzzled why it’s USA-only model...

      Agree in concept, but I’m not in love with some of the aspects of the throwback case. Agree though the SF needs an update and this collection is absolutely moving in the right direction, especially with wearability

    Bought one for my dad. I love everything about this watch. From dial finishing is superb white with subtle pink to spring drive sweeping second hand. Bracelet also looks great. The most impressive is that its made from intensity titanium. It’s so freaking light. I wish they do that on my sbge211 gmt. My next watch grail sbgk005 sooooo nice

    I don’t know man. There is just something about a Rolex. For $6300 I would honestly buy a datejust. And I believe that the GS is a more accurate watch and probably a better watch. However the is something that is hard to explain, it is something intangible that makes a Rolex and Rolex. Just my 2 cents. But I would definitely ROCK That Watch. 😃

    • @watchwithme91
      @watchwithme91  4 года назад +3

      I mean Rolex really is an incredibly powerful name. If you’re comparing watch versus watch I personally think you’re getting more with the Grand Seiko. That being said, I own two Rolex so what do I know lol. 🤦‍♂️

    • @hsheuw
      @hsheuw 4 года назад +2

      You know what, just a piece of my opinion here. Spending $6.300 will get you a DJ 36 that is indeed a very formidable rival to this GS. Best in class after sales service, bracelet fitment and superior buckle are some key areas where it has decisive advantage. GS does win back in dial quality, case construction and (perhaps) being a 40 mm watch. I will be the happiest collector there is with just 2 watches: OP 36mm Blue dial (which I own already) and this GS. :)

      You are right there's hardly any rival to Rolex when it comes to the name of the brand. But if you want something actually worth against your money and something which can catch people's eyes, you should consider this GS. Those who have zero knowledge of horology even they ask you "what watch are you wearing" and I think that's called something really special which tells its tale itself. The Rolex you will get with this kind of money isn't going to be a very marvellous piece of art. As current prices of Rolex aren't prices against the materials, it's rather shortage of supply, taxes, advertising cost etc etc...

      Coincidentally I bought the 413 Grand Seiko today and I have a Datejust and these are the only 2 high end watches that I own right now. The dial really is stunning, the grand seiko shop in NYC even gave me a magnifying watch glass so that I can see it up close and admire it.

    I own this watch and agree that it is an amazing piece. The beauty and accuracy of this watch put it in a class by itself. Sure it doesn’t have the brand awareness and prestige of a Rolex but the quality of construction and the technology in this watch make it an attractive choice for a serious watch collector. One thing that Rolex has over all other watches (along with Patek) is price appreciation potential of certain models. The GS most likely is not an investment piece like a Rolex Batman Pepsi or SS Daytona but for value for your money it can’t be beat.

    This 62GS case is cool. Good review.
    GS dials are exquisite art on the wrist. The hands and indices are the best at any price point. The sharp angles and Zaratsu is unique to them. Personally, just this is enough value. I have a dozen. Dress watches, casual wear, and, sport watches. I take them turn to enjoy them. Thickness of 10.2mm Sunray to 16mm Jade dragon. Smallest from 37mm to biggest at 44mm. No problem wearing on my small 6.25mm wrist. Other than the titanium ones, l enjoy with straps. The 3 dress watches already comes in very good leather. The Jade dragon has wonderful rugged strap.

      If you're referring to this Four Seasons collection specifically, it's doubtful. These are meant to be U.S. Exclusive, partly to commemorate and foster the success of their partnership with the U.S. market. Perhaps there will be a UK Exclusive collection in the future, but not these.

    Grand Seiko make great watches, but I prefer Hi beat over Spring drive caliber , because Hi beat its totally mechanic movement.
    The Spring drive its incredible , but it works like an hibrid between mechanic and quartz movement, under my horological point of view a Hi beat its more purest expression and suposse a greater horological challenge .
