Im in Ohio and was hit head on by a impaired driver. He was driving the wrong way on the freeway with his light off. I was in a coma for a couple days, torn aorta, broken femur and tibia, a permanently damaged left eye. Had to have two stints, plates in my leg due to drs having to take out a lot of bone. My husband was on a similar accident like the head on you described but he had surgery to repair left arm fractures... insurance offered the limit policy and the other person died and has no assets ... i have spoken to three lawyers and basically we are out of luck.. the car that hit my husband's was under the lady's boyfriend name and so is the insurance.. it is so frustrating because she was reckless driving without a seat belt over speed limit going the opposite direction and there is basically nothing else we can do.... my husband will be out of work for a while with lots of medical bills and lots of trauma due to the accident....

I got mine decently, to be very basic, i owed 400k medical bills. broken wrist, jaw, teeth, and femur. all needing metal implants. i was not at fault. so i am assuming around a 4 times multiplier. anyways the only thing i am waiting on is the judge to say if i am allowed to go above the policy limit of $50,000. i hope it rules in my favor. but enough about me, thanks for posting these videos! very helpful and i look forward to more. definitely subbed!

I really appreciate you posting this information and the article you wrote in reference to State Farm. I had my knee crushed when a random guy backed into me at a hardware store and pinned me between my bumper and his. We both have State Farm, which I thought would be a good thing but it turns out it is not. Sir I had comprehensive insurance with Allstate . I got in an accident and totaled the car. I did go to the hospital where they told me I have a bludge disc. The allstate said they wouldn’t pay for medical expense since only bodily injury is included in the insurance policy. They did not tell me anything about pain and suffering. Hi , Im in state of California. I was just on a car accident on June 27th . Rear Ended . Collision Shop Estimate Damage Is worth $2000 . Accident was Friday evening when i got off work . My 73-year-old father, is a cyclist. . While making a right hand turn he was struck by a distracted driver. They’re a medical resident at advent health (an almost doctor I guess) They remained at the scene and were hysterical. I was asked to undergo surgery or carry pain lifelong. i also have 3 herniated disc in the lower back and 2 on the cervical. have been attending all therapy sessions. i live in Nassau county, one of the expensive counties in the country know for large settlements. The best way to be sure that an attorney is honest is to have the attorney forward every single offer (from the insurance company) to the client. (I do this in all of my cases.) After the insurance company makes an offer, we ask them to put it in writing. This way I keep my client informed and they are much less likely to challenge my honesty. We do our best to forward every fax/email/letter that we send or receive in each case. Clients tend to appreciate this. Question: Does car damage have anything to do with amount of pain ? For example say is it possible for say a dent in the back of a complete stopped car at a red light getting rear ended vs a moving car getting rear ended and is totaled. JZ helps I have a question for you....I was burned at work and received 2nd degree burns all over both my legs and the doctor said about 20% of my body was burned. I really appreciate you posting this information and the article you wrote in reference to State Farm. I had my knee crushed when a random guy backed into me at a hardware store and pinned me between my bumper and his. We both have State Farm, which I thought would be a good thing but it turns out it is not. I was recently involved in a car accident this passed weekend, I had my 8 year old and 11 year old kids with me, the other person is 100% responsible she t-boned me coming out of an intersection.We all suffer whiplash, my daughter and I have back pain and I have constant headaches as well as shoulder pain. I did reach out too a couple lawyers, it seems like she has a smaller company insurance that a couple lawyers said would pay up to 25k per person or 50k per accident maximum based on their experience, now im debating weather I should hire a lawyer or not bc is it worth the money to hire a lawyer for a third of whatever I get paid and then on top of that another portion of that money will have to towards medical bills, what are your thoughts?

Hi , Im in state of California. I was just on a car accident on June 27th . Rear Ended . Collision Shop Estimate Damage Is worth $2000 . Accident was Friday evening when i got off work . Over the weekend i noticed pain on Neck . Scheduled Dr Appointment with Primary Doctor , was scheduled on Tuesday . I was place on Light Duty, Steroids and Pain Pills . My work told me cant come back do to work restrictions until i get cleared off from doctor so i placed Sick Days . From June 30th-July14th thats My Follow Up with doctor to see how am i doing . Am i getting reimbursed for sick days / lost of work. ? Its July 5th i still have Neck Pain when i look to right side and still have pinch nerve to runs to left hand is Numb, tingling sensation and needle pains . Whats next ? Thanks

My 73-year-old father, is a cyclist. .
While making a right hand turn he was struck by a distracted driver.
They’re a medical resident at advent health (an almost doctor I guess)
They remained at the scene and were hysterical.
Both the police & witnesses confirm that the Driver was indeed at fault for the collision.
My father suffered severe trauma, fractured elbow, broken hip, and potential brain damage.
Long story short, his pain and suffering only after a couple weeks has been insurmountably severe.
Should he be picky towards the attorney he selects?

I was asked to undergo surgery or carry pain lifelong. i also have 3 herniated disc in the lower back and 2 on the cervical. have been attending all therapy sessions. i live in Nassau county, one of the expensive counties in the country know for large settlements. There is nothing much can be done on the herniated disc except injecting steroids when needed. what type of settlement (very rough idea) i should be looking at?

Or there has been instances where attorneys may ask insurance companies to split the check and hide it from their client? I guess what I'm asking is how can we be sure what the settlement check is if we dont see it? They get it and just cut us a check from their own acct!

The insurance company typically sends one settlement check to the lawyer in a personal injury case. The best way to be sure that an attorney is honest is to have the attorney forward every single offer (from the insurance company) to the client. (I do this in all of my cases.)
After the insurance company makes an offer, we ask them to put it in writing. This way I keep my client informed and they are much less likely to challenge my honesty. As I said in my attorney's fee video (ruclips.net/video/WSHicWevG8Q/видео.html), clients who are kept informed throughout the case are usually happy. We do our best to forward every fax/email/letter that we send or receive in each case. Clients tend to appreciate this.
If a client of mine asks for a copy of the settlement check, I would show it to them in person in my office, or after the check has cleared my bank account.
Some insurance companies will only issue the check to the client and the lawyer. However, most injury lawyers have the client (when they hire the lawyer) sign a power of attorney that allows the lawyer to deposit settlement checks.
I imagine that a client can ask his/her lawyer to do a conference call with the adjuster to confirm the settlement amount.

Question: Does car damage have anything to do with amount of pain ? For example say is it possible for say a dent in the back of a complete stopped car at a red light getting rear ended vs a moving car getting rear ended and is totaled.

JZ helps I have a question for you....I was burned at work and received 2nd degree burns all over both my legs and the doctor said about 20% of my body was burned. I was on workman’s Comp for a month and have been left with a lot of scars over both legs. So it's been 6 months since the accident, I was in a work vehicle and it is totalled. I have nerve and disc damage. The person who hit me has 3 counts of dui on the official report.
