Hi, I'm sorry that you got scammed in Bali, I begin to follow your vlogs since I myself searching for resort in Bali, and I stumbled upon your videos in Sidemen, and you both are nice couple. My tips for you, expect Bali will be crowded when Ramadan time, because we have really long holiday. Currently I'm still in Bali, and I feel this time of the year, Bali really2 crowded, maybe because our government ease the travel regulation this year after 2 year of strict restriction. I myself think won't be coming to Bali again next year of Ramadan, because the price of Hotel will be a lot expensive, and there will be a lot of queueing in restaurant. If you need help in Indonesia you can message me, I'll be happy to help.

I worked in the hotel. Just sharing some info with you guys, it's not common to let confirmed guests to wait for 4 hours to get info whether there is room available. But that's for 5 stars hotel like Shangri-la. For 2, 3 stars hotels in touristy places like Bali, Phuket, etc, it's possible to happen.
Usually is : the hotels really don't have room at that particular time, but there is buffer time, where the guest who occupied that room decided to check out last minute, this freeing that room for next guest.
Why 4 hours? That room & toilet must be cleaned, during pandemic is also disinfected, the whole linens must be changed, and remember - last minutes check out means that chambermaid has done that shift, you must wait for the next shift staff to do the job. You must give the staff grace period as currently peak holiday season.
Anyway, wishing you happy time in Thailand. Koh Samui, Krabi, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai are places worth discovering.
South Thailand has many Muslims. North Thailand predominantly Buddhist.
Be respectful & have a good time exploring those places. Stay safe.

We just left Bali on Monday after an extra week there. Bookings were slim even then and we already noticed the influx of visitors last weekend. FYI, Indonesia = largest Muslim population in South East Asia + Eid (largest holiday after Ramadan fasting for 1 month ) = 1 week off national holiday. Unlucky for tourism seekers/ foreign travellers, today's Eid Al Fitr holiday is the first ever post-pandemic Muslim holiday in Indonesia that permits literally everybody in Indonesia to go back to their hometown and celebrate it with their families (or go to these exotic places in Indonesia, such as Bali, and spend the reminder of their holiday time there)

Walked over in the morning to catch my flight, easy peasy.

Safe travels. After being the second last flight out of Bali in 2020 we are looking forward to going back in November. We want to get out of the main tourist areas and look at long term stays. Thank you for sharing your experience. I love your content and just subscribed the channel.
I understand what you went through last time was not easy for you. Starting from the end of April until last week there is a celebration of the holiday for Muslims in Indonesia (Eid Al-Fitr). Most people who don't celebrate it, use their day off for a vacation to Bali. It has been 2 years in a row that the government has prohibited people from taking vacations during the pandemic and finally this year the government has opened the doors of tourism for local and international tourists to come to Bali.
The possibility of chaos is unavoidable because they have never felt so busy like this since the pandemic. I also work at a travel agent in Bali, experiencing the same thing to get room availability because Bali was very full at that time, but it should be handled properly 😊.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy your next trip in Thailand and I am so excited to see your vlog from other countries too. Have a great one!

Let this video be a lesson to anyone who decides to travel as a digital nomad during Covid times.
    - Educate yourself on where you're at and where you're going, on what is going on in the place you're currently staying and local customs/holidays.
    - Do NOT trust third party websites for bookings and reservations. It is incredibly rare that they will ever refuse a booking, or confirm a location as fully booked. They want that money.
    - Stop trying to stay in the most crowded and populated tourist areas of every place you go. Seminyak and Kuta are both HIGHLY populated tourist areas of Bali (this video was posted in May 2022), it was a holiday, and you're trying to stay in this area the first month after Bali fully opened back up to tourism... Why? You could have stayed in Kerobokan, Sanur, a boatload of places in Denpasar, and still had ZERO issues getting to the airport. Try staying in places where tourists DO NOT EXIST, you'll be much happier for it. I promise.
**For context, I've been traveling SEA since 2018 and have lived in Bali for over three years.** All the best to you both. 🤙🏼

@@LloydandMandy Also been to Bangkok twice as it’s just so cool. I highly recommend Chatuchak market on weekends wow. You need a full day to really explore this as it’s humongous from memory. Filled with endless randoms..
I can’t remember the name of the rooftop bar we went to years ago but the speakeasy one looks cool. Fantastic train transport we found as Bangkok is massive and so diverse you will find. Shop around to find just a local ‘cruise around the river’ extremely cheaper. Wot Po was fascinating. Advise would be to make sure all the historical palaces are open on the day you go & must wear something to cover shoulders (lonely planet was my love hate bible at the time- old school I know:)) Khao san road full of kiwi Aussie backpackers but a great spot for people watching nonetheless… warning must have a sense of humour upon entry 🤩 an hour before dark probably lovely buzzing time

@@riyanadipoetra6743 Biarin saja, trik utk menarik viewer memang begitu.

I can't see how bad planning on your behalf creates an emergency on the others behalf?? If you booked in advance things might be a lot better for you...if you don't like booking ahead and want to be spontaneous then this is your issue...and also why not boom direct with hotels etc?? why use a third party site?? the hotel gets less profits if you book thru an app....so they run a business and really don't like the booking agents taking their profits. Maybe do some looking into the cultures and festivals, religious activities of the countries you visit...knowledge is power.
It's a feedback...if your not enjoying the negative feedback then don't post things!!! Stop blaming bad things on your lack of preparation....seriously it looks pathetic.
