Every time I escorted Sue and her colleagues into the Paterno Reading room for Board Meetings and Events I felt a sense of awe and pride. I also sensed Coach beside her at every step. Thank you for your hard work, dedication, and love for this university's students and staff. God bless and keep you Sue. Dance on. xo

I grew up in Pottstown, PA. As a young Pop Warner football player (on a team with Tom Shuman) i was at a local Father & Son Night held annually in the dead cold of PA's winter. In 1962, a young assistant to the great PSU coach Rip Engle was introduced to the crowd of young boys, eager to hear all about football & Penn State. The dark haired young coach at the lecturn spoke briefly for about 15 minutes. I can still hear the somewhat high pitched voice hammering home his message, "GET AN EDUCATION," above all else, "GET AN EDUCATION." I have no recollection of Joe Paterno saying a word about football.

She is going to Heaven before everyone else. This is who Joe and Sue were. Simple, kind and personal.
