      Thanks. I'm actually planning on it. I still love this headset and used it on a group ride this past weekend with some guys that hard Cardo units. Although it worked and I paired with them, my sound quality wasn't as good as theirs as it uses the universal Bluetooth pairing compared to Cardo using their DMC mesh network.

    Thank you for the awesome video, my wife is going to start riding with me as a passenger and I’m buying her riding gear now . I love the price of this .
    Any ways my question for you is I’m buying this to communicate with her while we ride together , 1. will we constantly hear wind in each others ears while it’s on intercom mode ? ,
    2. There is a mute button Aswell ?,
    3. Is it easy to press the mute button without beeing distracted driving ?
    I want to talk to her and give her a safe heads up when stopping, turning and sightseeing .
    Thank you again hope to hear from you soon

    • @Mudslidex1
      @Mudslidex1  6 месяцев назад +1

      The noise cancellation is really good and you shouldn’t hear wind noise. That also depends on the helmets. Open face helmets you may get some wind noise but full faced helmet none. Even if open faced, the cancellation works really well. Plus you have a mute button if you wish to mute the mic. All controls were easy to use but it will also depend on the thickness/bulkiness of your gloves

    Great to see a fellow Long Islander on the "Tube". Would you know if you can connect to a GoPro with the intercom? I'm looking to get into MotoVlogging, and would like to be able to record conversations with another rider while on the road.
    Thanks

    • @Mudslidex1
      @Mudslidex1  3 месяца назад +1

      Always happy to meet another Islander!! As for recording a motovlog with another rider, the easiest way I found so far is with the Cardo Packtalk Edge. It allows you to record the intercom directly to your phone over bluetooth. It works really well, but you then have to sync your video/audio track. There are other ways to do it with cables and splitters, but it's a pain and you end up with a rats nest of wires in your helmet.

    • @eastcoastbrushworks6327
      @eastcoastbrushworks6327 3 месяца назад

      I believe I saw the one with the splitter. Not sure if it was the Cardo or Sena split into a GoPro.
      I just can’t justify the $200 price tag for 1 device.

  • @morrishadden9754

    I cannot get Google Assistant to hear me through the mic. Every time I get GA to open, I believe it is only hearing me directly through the phone. If I click 2x on the pwr button, as directed in the manual, it brings up Bixby.

    I'm looking to get an intercom style BT headset for my helmet as a buddy and I will start riding more once it permanently warms up here this spring. I'm new to how these work;
    -Do these function as a PTT or is it a constant "open-mic" function?
    -Can you have comms layered over music or is the comms a seperate channel? If yes, is it one size fits all volume adjustment?
    -After a connection, if you push the intercom button, does it simply mute you or disconnect the link? And does the other user get notified? How do you reestablish a connection if they turn off as well?

    • @Mudslidex1
      @Mudslidex1  7 месяцев назад +2

      They are not PTT but open channel communications. Once you open the channel and establish the connection, everyone is on and can talk at once. You can always mute your mic if you don't want to be heard using the mute button, and you can even drop out of the conversation by hitting the intercom button again. If you want to join back in, you hit the intercom button again and it joins the party again (most of the time). Usually you and the other riders hear a chime when someone joins back in. Sometimes they can be a little finicky if you drop out and then try to jump back in. But usually once you establish the communication between the other riders and pair up, they usually will connect right up again even after being powered off if you stop for a break and get a bite to eat etc... Once you get back on the bikes you can power them back up and hit the intercom button again and usually they all pair up again. Also if you trail behind during a ride far enough and get disconnected, they usually will reconnect on their own as soon as your back in range with the other riders. As for music, it's either one or the other. You can listen to music or do intercom. Some models will even allow you to share your music with another rider with the same make/model headset. But I haven't seen any headset yet that allows you to listen to music and speak at the same time. Hope this information helps
