Maxing out Swiftcast is a chore. Even with post-story bonus + Chocobo acc + AP up. Colosseum soundtrack still ringing in my head from farming AP.
? Just use the gongaga method.. Took me an hour and a half of watching podcasts to max it and all the other materia out. Hardly a chore.
Well still almost 2 hours. But yeah we can multitask while farming AP so that's that @@Daddydaft
Oof don’t use the Colosseum; use the far south area in Gongaga in the industrial looking area that has a treasure cache.

It’s not too bad, provided you’re using an efficient method. Maxed out all my materias is about 2 hours.
Arcane ward is why Aerith never leaves my party
Arcane ward + synergy materia, Aerith spamming spells like crazy... Yeah she was always in my party too xD

@@quadassio under an arcane ward yes she does and it's actually kinda funny seeing her spending entire fights casting meteors for no cost.
The problem is you can't pair it up with swiftcast if it's already linked with synergy. So basically she's just gonna afk cast meteors and do nothing else. Under a radiant ward it's fine even though she can be interrupted.
You can tryp synergy meteor for the meme it's pretty funny. But synergy fire is generally a lot more efficient.

I am always amazed seeing ppl with hp/mp switch while I cannot even load my savegame without getting hit by an enemy.
It just requires some practice xD Also it was a lot harder against Bahamut Arisen even though that video got significantly less views lol

Aerith is my WEAKEST fighter in my game. I'm trying to figure out how to make her more useful.
@@jazzminjolly6361 Cast Arcane Ward and do double spells with highest Magic attack possible, it's not super complicated. She becomes even more broken if you link MP drain to your damaging materia, because she will never run out of MP. -aga spells cost 18MP and if she does 2x 9999 damage with double cast she will regain 60MP back
@jazzminjolly6361 he probably has her at max weapon level and all folios unlocked. Also the weapon, armor, accessory and materia she is wearing comes into play
@jazzminjolly6361 tbh start a battle with tempest. Use tempest 2 when it staggers. The damage from that alone is insane.
Don't neglect the wards either, they're very strong. Double spells is nuts

Can do it with Yuffie too. Doppleganger will repeat spells, but doesnt require you to stand in a ward and the 2nd cast wont cost mana. Also works with Syngery.
Only downside, her doppelganger only does 1/4 of the damage. Also pair that with the arcane ward and you have Quadra spells xD

I believe that's part of the inspiration to his design. In FFXIII he's a row of tower units forming a wall before transforming into his "robot" form. And in FFIX he's a literal castle.
Didn't use Aerith a ton in my first playthrough. But on hard mode she is so god damn OP it's ridiculous.She's not the most fun character to use because of her lack of mobility (let's be real, Yuffie, Tifa and Cloud are the most fun to play with), but man when you get her set up right.
Arcane + Radiant Ward for long battles is so ridiculously unfair. Add in some MP Absorption and you can just spam the shit out of any high powered spell lol.

Ok how did I miss competes for aerith in this game?? Do you get it from doing the simulation fights? I skipped those this time around…
The simulation fights are rather fun. You can do them with a full team or choose to only play with 1 or 2 members for special challenges like this one (for the meme).

If you've ever played tales of arise , a surprisingly similar battle system but with more action focus,... there's a magic caster, Rinwell, that has serviceable close range and aerial options. As long as you master the system...
I use Cait over Aerith every time bc she's really the only character that doesn't feel self sufficient on Hard. Unless you're stronger than enemy ofc

@ Idk, optimal strats are great to an extent, but to me, moves like limit siphon , should end with a big satisfying hard hitting limit break. I know she can fill other's gauges but.... Nah. This fight against Alexander with one of the coolest and most specialized spells, still manages to be boring when compared to any yuffie, cloud, barret type build. Winning is great but winning with her is my least favorite.... Thats like saying vanilla is my least favorite ice cream though. It's still delicious ice cream.
@@ZealGames Well when I did hard mode I just wanted to speedrun (I suppose it's my way to have fun) so I would limit siphon Aerith's jauge with Cloud to unleash his lvl 3 limit break and finish any battle in a matter of seconds (+ I could enjoy that sweet animation over and over).
And for some bosses I would eventually abuse that infinite LB loop. There are many different playstyles to have fun in hard mode tho yeah.

It would if didn't cost so much MP. Which is what Magic Efficiency materia is for. But since there's only one Comet materia in the game, you can't link 2 Comets with Magic Efficiency and Swift Cast at the same time sadly.

@@phantom-X2086 Actually, it wouldn't. You can make it stronger with Magic Efficiency, but you'll do far more damage in the long run with HP MP because you can cast it infinitely. Just depends on how long the fight is going to be.

The fact that I did this on my hard mode playthrough was absolutely not the point of the meme.
The summon battles lvl sync to your party. Besides you have the brutal/legendary bouts which have the summons as part of the battle line up

Especially the remake series since there are people still arguing to this day about whether it should've stayed a turn based rpg.
Like how it took 7 years for KH2's combat to finally escape a similar image of being "only" mindless button mashing gameplay, when the general audience in the west finally got their hands on the version with Critical Mode

Hard mode but not full power (I think it's equivalent to full power normal mode but I'm not 100% sure). Full power hard mode would require a bit more time and rng.
@ nice I finished the game the other day but there's no point in even trying hard mode when I suck at so many of these effing mini-games so it's another potential platinum gone out the door. Just like in Remake, mini-games being my kryptonite again.
@@lambo2655 I platinumed it a few days ago. Hard mode is honestly not that hard especially if you have unlocked Gotterdammerung. Which minigames do you have problems with? For most of them there are special tricks but it can take some time to figure them out. I could help you out if you want.

Meh, still not worth it. Aerith is the only character I feel like isn’t satisfying to play, regardless of the setup and overpowered abilities.
Well spell spamming is a special play style for sure
aerith's has alot of hidden mechanics people dont realize, like for example teleporting to her wards. which is actually busted if you know how to effectively use it to avoid enemies.
but to me, the best way to use her, is similar to barret.
as a jump in cast whatever jump out until her atb fills again.
barret works really well like that, if you use him as a tank.
@@marcosdheleno I really prefer Barrett over Aerith lol with that role as a ranged character, he has defense, a ton of ATB gimmicks, and also healing capabilities.
Aerith is frail, takes a while to setup and you’re always out of ATB with the amount of techniques she requires to be good. Not worth it to me, I know how busted she is, just doesn’t feel gratifying setting up her build to nuke enemies. I prefer building stagger, debuffing, and melting foes with limit breaks and synergies
