In this video, I explain how to unpack/extract files from video games using a tool called QuickBMS. It's easy to use and has a great, active community surrounding it, so even if your game doesn't seem to be supported, you can likely get someone to create a script for you that will work!

How can I recreate the [.list] file if it comes from a game in another region? The filenames are the same, but the paths are not.
It is an awesome extractor, with a great community.. This is definitely how most of these pro modders grab a hold of the game files to come out with these killer mods for all the most popular games like sites such as Nexus and etc to put it in their maya, photoshop or whatever they like using to give us these cool new looks or whatever they are modding... Also is a great tool for a game hacker... Ty for the upload..
Ok, but how to repack all archives for modding for example?
Sadly there are no scripts for the file I need to extract/convert from ;-;

It doesn't work at all. It keeps telling me the input is incomplete when its the exact location of the file I want to convert. It worked when the others used it and even showed me screenshots.
So I just assumed they trolled me cause I did exactly what he did in the screenshot and it keeps saying error, it keeps saying it cant read 4 bytes from offset then has a bunch of letters and numbers.
So if you ask me quickBMS is useless

I figured it out I had to run as administrator.
does it work in admin? cuz it just comes up with an empty BMS script
You really have done everything. Whatever I'm trying to do, there always seems to be a RUclips tutorial from a couple of years ago where you cover exactly that topic.

Um. I can't get this to work. Do I leave Scripts as .txt or use as .bms extension? I can't seem to unpack XBLAZE's .Pac Files, or even Battle Fantasia's .Bin's. Edit: Well I can rip Battle Fantasia's .OGG's, but everything else outputs a new file type. Is this like, layers upon layers of encryption?

I've been really trying to extract Overlord (code masters) models, can't quite figure out which one works with RPK files. That's what the hex editor says it is in the PRP file.

Hi, I saw your video on how to use quickBMS but I'm not able to reimport the files to .DAT or .packed.
in the case the files in question are of the game Castlevania Lord of Shadows.
I also wanted to increase the resolution of Castlevania Lord of Shadows 2 to 21: 9 2560x1080 which is not possible in the game. Can you help me? I'm new to changes like these.

I'm trying to extract cpk files from a game called "Final Fantas Brave Exvius", however, the png files seem to be broken. Or they say they are took big. This has to do with encryption, right? If so, is there anyway to fix this so I can view the images?

I think that Insurgency has got its own developer kit. You don´t need to use BMS if you have a SDK.

Hello, this is a very informative video but I have 2 questions:
1) Do any of these applications featured have a chance of giving your PC a virus?
2) Are you able to get leaked content (say if a update for a game is coming up and they are releasing new items. Can you find these items or item pictures in any format in the files?)

QuickBMS is a 100% safe program. I used it in the past with no trouble.
And for the leaked content, you are gonna need the script first.
