Supercab looks better to me, I don’t have kids and don’t need leg room. My last F-150 was a regular cab, the Supercab is perfect for me. I only need the backseat for a passenger once or twice a year.
If the driver is interested in the passenger's comfort he/she would purchase a 4 door/crew cab model. If I bought this truck I would use it just for myself but I would have the rear seats available just in case I needed the extra room for my stuff or in case of an emergency...a passenger.
The rear seat space of f150 supercab is surprisingly big, The first time I sat in there I feel is bigger than most sedans. I compared it with Tacoma double cab which supposely equivalent to crew cab, Tacoma double cab actually has less leg room.
I had the same experience with my Silverado when compared to my buddies Tacoma. With 4 we fit comfortably in the Silverado EXT cab 4 door. We all felt cramped when we rode in his Tacoma.
I am in the same boat with an old tundra, the biggest pinpoint is the suicide doors in parking lots. Surprisingly my old tundra doors actually have outside doorhandles.
Thank you, have been looking for a video that shows how the rear fits with reference to the front. Want to buy a used extended cab. But 6-2 or 5-6 I dont see an adult being able to sit there for longer than a trip to the grocery store. Its really made for kids. Im going to pass on the extended cabs and go for a full backseat. Going to be doing lots of long trips taking relatives out to the wilds. Thank you for showing this.
I prefer the nice compact supercab. Well I’m 5ft6 buff little dude and have more room in the back than most 6ft dudes. I like the feeling of comfort and compact back seats and how it feels during a rainy car ride.
Why doesn't Ford make that back door on the Xtended cab a "slider" like mini-vans have. I can't tell you how many times I park in narrow parking space and then want to get say my golf clubs from the back seat but cant open the door enough. I then have to back out so then I can open the door. My wife's Dodge mini-van has that problem licked. She just hits her key fob and the door slides back. Sure would beat a swinging door..
Test one drove one the other day.Has plenty for what I need.More than my car now actually. And since I want an 8ft bed and use my truck as a truck, extened cab is the way to go. I trip out on peeps who use these as daily family haulers.
Jake Smith 😂😂😂😂 I mean I work out of my truck and it’s my personal truck so for the family it works, and personally I put everything in my trailer no need for the long bed.
Passenger comfort is pointless. If im the driver all that matters is if IM comfortable. Unless they helping to pay the bill who cares if they comfortable or not. They can either ride quietly or take there own damn truck 😂
@@dcross446 I have an old 99 F-150 Xtended cab. My G-Kids (4) all have no problem fitting back there. If a family can only afford one car then this arrangement is perfect for 2 adults - 2 kids up to about 12-13...then its time they learn to drive and buy their own ...
Sure can Carlos. When I stop by the Ford store this week I'll see what I can find with a 3.3L V6 for you. thanks, make sure to sub so you see when the video is uploaded next week. Chad
I just watched a video with a dude taller and it was a 2016 and he had wayyy more leg room...legs not even close to touching the front seat...did the back seat get smaller in the newer models? Strange.
@@Ottero87 it had to be the super cab because I have the super crew now and everyone's always saying how much room is back there and it's true...you can even flip the seats up and put 2 adults on the floor if you had a need to.
Great information. Will a rear facing child seat fit back there. Also, is the overall length less than a super crew? I want the smallest full size truck that has a rear seat. Thanks again for the video.
Length is the same as the supercrew. I fit two rear facing car seats in mine but I can't fit the larger rear facing seats behind the driver's seat at 6'2"
I have 2 G-kids (boys) they are 7 and 9 and fit fine back there in my F150 xtended cab. One thing though--why not a sliding rear door? My wife's Dodge mini-van has a "slider" and it would make sense for the xtended car door just to slide back...
Here's the first one I did - ruclips.net/video/X_JYlOPzbEw/видео.html Here's the 2nd -ruclips.net/video/pQI-6o4zplE/видео.html I think one of those videos has the 5 spoke wheels. if not I'll look today and see what I can find. Chad
Yes it's way better. Better towing, better payload, better crash safety, better performance, better off road options on all trims like rear locker, and even the v8 gets better gas mileage
oh man I remember that song now and thank you. I'm going to try and find it and put it back in my videos again. I'll let you know the name soon. pretty sure it was a song that youtube offers in there free music catalog for users.
EXT cabs work great for me since I occasionally haul people. Not one person has complained yet in my Silverado. I convinced my brother to get a 6.5 bed with his new crew cab Sierra. Most he was looking at only had short beds. I think 5.8 beds are silly on full size trucks. They look super small and goofy. I’d only get a crew in the future if I find one well priced with the standard bed. If it’s a compact truck I’ll gladly settle for the short bed however. They look more proportional on those.
Ford needs to catch up with the other extended cab trucks on the market and get rid of the suicide doors. Ram, Chevy, GMC, and Toyota all have normal opening doors for their extended cab trucks. Plus, the b pillars on a four door extended cab would improve safety ratings.
@@jakesmith2984 :/ sorry dude. Wasn't trying to be rude. Just seemed like an odd complaint about the suicide doors. To me, the backseat is not a primary use for the supercab, so the doors aren't a huge issue, and if you want to regularly carry people in the back you'd go for a crewcab anyway. *shrug*
Caleb DeMarco Eh good point. But even those doors irritated me when I test drove one.I wont be using it for passenger much either. Just the fact that that style is outdated and somewhat of a hassle for when I do have passengers and tight parking. Yeah its almost a deal breaker. Almost.
Hi Melanie, I'm sure we do. Theres probably over 300 new Ford Trucks on our car lot. I'll take a look for you this coming week when I'm back at the Ford Store. So are you wanting a truck similar to the one in this video? Have you thought about what options and features you want yet? Maybe I can make a special video for you. Tell me which truck you like best and I'll film it. thanks, Chad
Back seats are for guns bags and tools! Truck beds are supposed to be so short you can't lose your virginity in it. You good ole boys know what I'm sayin! In high school I piled 4 girls in my single cab tacoma. An extended cab would've been great at that time! Lol
Well, that's not bad. I figure two 5 foot 10 guys would fit all right. Not everyone is 6'2.
The crewcab 5.5’ bed is the same overall length as 6.5’ supercab, I’m buying the supercab for the extra bed length for fishing rods.
Exactly, I gotta have that 6'6 bed for my swag - im a tall dude!!
men who think rationally 👍
It’s funny that ford has one of the biggest crew cab in all full-size trucks but in extended cab/double cab it’s one of the smallest

Exactly what I needed to know about the leg room...Thank you.
I'm 5'6 and my dad got one of these and I fit perfectly fine in the back.
Could you send pictures? I’m also 5’6

The ford supercab leg room is way more then the chevy silverado dubble cab
That's not actually true
Chevy owners don’t need to open the front door to get in 🤣😂
I’m 6’4 there’s not many back seats I fit comfortably in.
Looking at a extended cab sierra and just worried about comfortably fitting my 6mo in the back

What’s up w those shades?
No AC vents in the back?
With the bench seats yes/no. It comes from under the front seats. With any of the console configs it has it in the center as well.
Regret buying the super cab but I already lifted it an 22” wheels lol now I’m stuck for a year or two
ITS LEGIT KID why don’t you like. You have a lot of people in the car. Or do you got kids ? Contemplating getting a super cab but I got a 3 year old.
David Pejuan Not as much room in the back for people as you think also the crew cabs look a little better I think now in my opinion

Better than tundra ?

That's nothing new with the ext. Door opening like that. Chevy did that in 2007 on the Silverado.
Nissan started it with the titan in 04
