    Almost exactly like that miniature you built Ken. I just noticed that. That’s a cozy little cabin. You need a little camp stove. More control over the heat. Nosy rabbit .

      Thanks William. I had a smaller stove but it was no good for overnight in extreme cold. I had to stoke it every 1-1/2 to 2 hours and didn't sleep well. This one is large capacity and I can sleep 3-4 hours at a time.

    Summer time should be repair and up keep time for Cabin. But need to have both good work gloves and Shooter's Glasses to protect against flying wood chips and splinters. The stove repair issue was a issue I would not have thought about so a small supply of screws, nuts and nails might be a good Idea for camping trips.

    • @Thelonelyscavenger

    Doesn’t the draft of the stove pull in cold air from outside making it drafty? Or do you have a separate intake for combustion air?

    • @Thelonelyscavenger
      @Thelonelyscavenger  8 дней назад

      I never noticed a draft. The cabin is nice and toasty even with a low fire going. I do have a fresh air flap near the stove that I open occasionally.

  • @billrivenbark8983
    @billrivenbark8983 7 дней назад

    Have you thought of some kind of window cover to help insulate the cabin? You must be loosing heat from the glass windows.

    • @Thelonelyscavenger
      @Thelonelyscavenger  7 дней назад

      Two of the windows are right beside the stove so I'm a little worried about the curtains getting too hot. I do have curtains out there though. Maybe I'll try it next time bur it's actually very warm in there except if I sleep too long and the fire dies down

  • @Turn-2JesusN0W

    Why people cook at knight dp in the forest when the smell bring night predators believe me I used to live in the woods for years and I never will cook after six at knight plus I always was prepared for war knife 🗡️🪓 and crossbow ready for anything plus I made clothes from animal skins even my bed sheets and blankets I made sure I have plenty of food dry meat and fish as well animal grease lard and wood .I spent years out there no people around no even a dog no electricity or nothing else only boxes of candles and a couple flashlights and lanterns that I light them up with oil or lard .I used to work and live on thousands of grapes fields around me and believe me I had amigos out there big boys special in the summer I used to call them amigos ancient forest people.And some time was 40 below I 0 with the windshield out there.But I never will broke natural laws like cooking at knight

      @Thelonelyscavenger that what you think remember they always around when you in the woods that is their world and long ago used to be ours environment thousands of years back . Remember that always in alert and ready for anything a dog like pitbull is the best mix with boxer they always alter and ready for war they become our ears nose and our eyes and that half of a minute to get ready for self defense real simple that what a dog become and it is they can feel danger before us and they get ready for war fast and pitbull mix with boxer is the best war dog ok in the woods 2 of them are a army against anything out there if they fear something will be the so call Bigfoot a little bit beside that nothing else.
