Today, I sit down with Cynthia Erivo to talk about following your passion and having compassion for yourself. Cynthia explains why taking the first step is a key to achieving success, turning passion into personal growth and career success, and how to change your mindset when you start doubting yourself.
dealing with extreme emotions and pursuing your purpose. We discuss our freedom to pursue beliefs we want to support, how to approach meditation with maturity and incorporate it into our daily life, the crippling effects of spending too much time on social media, and how to turn outrage into manageable situations.
Cynthia Erivo is a British actress, singer, and songwriter. She has acted in a number of films and television shows. Her film credits include roles in "Widows," "Bad Times at the El Royale," and "Harriet," for which she received critical acclaim and an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress. This CD has three separate relaxation/meditation sessions on it ruclips.net/user/postUgkxzpa8CIfZcihW4Z0F_ja0QF3W9KIatrsq guided by a very pleasant and direct male voice. Unlike so many other products of its type, this CD does not have bad synthesizer music, does not feature a phony or affected style of narration, and does not make any bogus claims to be subliminal or to re-train the brain or any of that balderdash. What you get is 1. a guided meditation for getting into a pleasantly relaxed state of body awareness while taking a stroll (superb for those easing back into a fitness routine slowly after an illness or injury) 2. A nice long breath-awareness relaxation session that if followed diligently can put you into very deep states of full-body relaxation and mental calmness, and 3. a buddhist-inspired meditation session designed to help you develop and maintain feelings of loving kindness toward not just yourself and your friends, but toward people you don't even like. The CD makes no claims to be designed for advanced meditators or for buddhists or hindus/yoga practitioners looking for very deep and esoteric stuff. It is geared more toward the average person who just wants to develop the habit of relaxation and stress relief through natural, healthy means. him, if you happen to be reading this, keep up the good work fella, and I love your accent. I would also like to note that I have never fallen asleep while listening to this product. I would like to kindly suggest to the reviewer who said this CD makes him fall asleep, that he might want to get checked to see if he has a sleep disorder, or if he is simply not setting aside ample time for restful sleep at night. A healthy person getting adequate rest at night should be able to go into deep states of mental relaxation without dozing off, if not all the time, then most of the time.

The way Cynthia so beautifully put-- speaking from a place of love can change the entire narrative of a conversation, as well as what the person takes away from it. There are so many amazing opportunities at your fingertips but actually taking the first step to do something that is totally meant for you to experience because it feels GOOD has been he toughest. So just doing the things that actually make me feel good is a huge perspective change on the imposter syndrome, Thank you for this! An absolutely beautiful piece.

This was such an amazing interview and it came in at the right time. I really loved when she said: “I want to understand you, so that you can understand me.”
As opposed to wanting to win an argument.

The highlight for me was when she talked about not putting all your focus on the goal, but also focussing on every step that leads you to your goal.
The way she talks about the impact of the little things and love is absolutely thrilling. Great great interview 👏❤️❤️❤️

She is absolutely brilliant in everything that I've ever seen her in. Her talents are so broad, nothing she can/will do would surprise me. She has a singing voice that is second to none. I love her talent and acting chops, she is definitely a "STAR" to watch, there's NOTHING she can't do and have you mesmerized. She's simply FANTASTIC!
