@@Blaircraft.Engines how about key points like the Lord mounts and the oil hoses. You'd be surprised how often people get those backwards for correct installation. In fact, the oil lines are in The Illustrated Parts Catalog for correct installation, at least on the 172. And the compression side of the Lord mount are supposed to face the firewall on top and the case on the bottom.
This was a very expensive firewall forward overhaul, new components and baffles & seals. I’m guessing 45k. This was working under the FAA Repair Station, I didn’t see the invoice. I would plan on at least 25k, but I don’t have current pricing/availability.
Such a sense of satisfaction when the engines runs for the first time ! ! ! Well done !!
Yes it is… Thanks!
Sweet! First time I've actually seen the whole process.
Thanks for the comment. In the future I'll share more of the process in real time.
Great job Joshua! Looking good!
Thanks Tim! Make it a great week!
Nice video !
Thanks!
This aircraft is owned by New Horizons Aviation (flight school) @KGSH Taken place at Goshen Air Center
Awesome
Wow! Talk about a QEC….
Yeah… Sure makes it look quick. 😁
This video covered about 4 days. All new baffling required some adjustments.
Great job, but is it possible to show this video clip in normal speed?
Thanks. Unfortunately it was not filmed in real time, only time lapse. This is a couple days of several hours.
Try playback speed of 0.25. Turn the sound off!
@@deltaskyhawk Thanks: it was succesfull!
How about an Ercoupe?
I haven’t worked on an Ercoupe, but I have flown one.
Mine is a 1946 415C. Great plane to fly.
How long was it in real time?
It was about 4 days I believe, its been a few months.
Can we see the one in real time?
That would be hours… unfortunately too long to upload.

All of the advances in automotive technology and aviation is still stuck in the 1940's... 🙄😩
Yes… overall. However, there was is much more advancement in the experimental world!
Would love to know the cost! Looking at buying a clapped out 150 and having this done.
