I lived in Shabbona for a while, near Dekalb. Met some great people. I have always said, the loneliest places are big Cities. If you can live outside of Chicago, remote work and commute in for meetings sometimes, that would be my advice bro. I am a UX/Product Designer of 20 years.
Great content! What Macbook do you have? I’m going into school for design this year and am finally making the switch to a Mac. I want something really portable for like bringing to coffee shops as well!
Hey Sacha, I’m a junior in college and recently sparked a passion for UX Design. I am wondering if I would be able to ask you some deeper questions about what you do and your opinion on some thoughts I’ve been having. Thank you
I'm doing the Google UX Certification program. Any tips/advice for finding a job after completion? For example, if you were hiring, would you consider a newbie with only a cert? 😅
Thanks, man! UX is kinda weird in that a lot of people who work in the field don't have a degree in it. I would say what's going to make you stand out from other candidates is your portfolio. So I would be sure to have some solid work (Doesn't have to be professional). For example, before I got hired my only experience was an internship with a company and the rest was student work. My major was marketing and my minor was website communication. Start making connections in the field now and that's honestly how you are going to find your new role. I can make a separate video on that actually. Thanks for asking!
i'm a 24 year old designer from iran and this video gave me little bit of hope that having a normal life as a ux designer is not just a dream if you live in iran. thanks
Amazing content, I am planning to do my Masters in HCI from DePaul University, checked out your video about the benefits of MS in HCI, would love to stay connected with you for more information regarding the same buddy :)
