What AR platform is being used in this demo? Hololens?

I've been following reports about this for a bit and there's no indication of the platform. They're not really Hololens-compatible gestures. Really, though, the platform isn't the important bit right now. There's not much in the way of commercial AR platforms today, but because of how long it takes to develop experiences like this, it only makes sense to start building now - knowing that the devices will be available.
They've never shown a headset - and I think that's by design. The headset won't matter.

“If you want to be recognized as the best in your field, do way more preparation than anyone else. I dissected 20 cadavers to really understand connective tissue; most physicians have only dissected one cadaver in their lifetimes. In order to really understand swimming mechanics, I spent 20 hours a week for a year and a half studying underwater videos of World Record swimmers frame-by-frame. As a result, swimmers now pay 500 percent more for my swim camps because I can guarantee an improvement in their times.” -Bob Prichard, president of Somax Performance Institute

Agreed, experience is key, but if each med student had to be provided with 20 cadavers we may have a supply issue!

not necessarily..& possibly.. it could go one of two ways of course, plus there are all sorts of variables of agreements.. (example, do we need permission for said cadaver to be used for such study, which I think Is fantastic to learn as much as you can you have too! there is not enough study and practice.. learning never stopd) but say we've got cadaver fields for study of decomposition.. people are donated for these farms, jane/john doe.. how many actual surgeons would we have in say one school, how many would devote the time, I would give them an option to continue to study rather throw 20 at them. buy I definitely would prefer a doctor who can reattach my arm and make it fully functional again over someone who isn't as in tune.. I've got a friend who had a hip replacement. she said it was a 45 minute procedure, how many bits and pieces are needed to ensure full mobility, or even feeling? she's lost some feeling, dead nerves etc. it's radiating down to her foot, first two weeks were great. down hill since. why? I'm no doctor nor anywhere a med student, but its fascinated me since I was a kid and I love reading and learning about it. my own body I study over time, the why what hows (disabilities, degeneration with age, stuff like that) I'm getting off course lol but say theres no mandatory amount of cadaver study, maybe not all will make the cut or even get that job. now.. body count? from what resources? such as Jane Doe, John doe, criminals, family agreed upon donations, self donations. etc. to factor it all in.. while he has that absolute Passion to study 20. the next might not and waste 18.. we need passionate doctors, surgeons, etc. those are the doctor's wings I want to be under. I hope that made sense. slightly tied :)

The next step I was hoping for to appear when me and my team have designed our quite unique virtual Human Anatomy Dissection Lab (2010) - using OSS/Free Software + a multi-touch based 2D/3D environment + our advanced e-content generator that allowed the teacher to had the AV annotated 2D/3D movie available at the end of the virtual dissection session.
But if this is based on MS HoloLens technology we have to be cautious to (finally) see the full release of the technology, because it may easily end like the Google Glass or Google Cars...very promising...but...yet not ready :(
