i had the same thing happen several years back. no kids were involved, we were engaged and buying a house together. it ended up pretty nasty and i learned many lessons from it. over the 3 1/2 years we were together i slowly tuned out and quit paying attention to her bc of several reasons. she wasnt bad gf material, possibly wife material, and she was gorgeous. if i really wanted to get her back i had several chances, but i was pretty disinterested and i think thats half of the reason she kept pursuing me. youre right about everything having to be about them. women expect men to provide 75-85% of the finances and the romance. mainly they want to see you take the lead in these areas and more. women want to feel loved everyday by their man, they want to feel like they are more loved than their gfs that they gossip with all day. and when you get settled into a routine, sometimes you act more like roommates. i cant speak about the children though, i have none. i hope you find you way, go get her back if thats what you are wanting.

It's good to keep things exciting and new, but the real reason people "grow apart" or "get bored" is because they've done bad things to each other, whether overt or covert (done openly or done and withheld). When people are walking around with these hidden (or not hidden) acts, it can cause problems with communication and eventual break ups. The answer is to come clean in a safe way. It takes a lot of guts for both people to do that.

Coach Corey may I asked how did you survive the decline of the dating gurus? It seemed at one point ever since male groups such as PUA, MRA and even MGTOW came about everyone just went on each opposite ends of the extreme. I think you reinvented the while dating guru thing but also have a solid self help book that encompasses life and relationships in general as I find it useful in all respects.
He teaches essentially what MGTOW originally was. A man needs to have purpose and confidence, which will translate into his dating life.

Try to think back to earlier in your relationship, when you two were, undoubtedly, at it like rabbits - What turned him on? What things did he like? What outfit did you wear that really got him going? Stuff like that.
I think it sounds more like an emotional issue though. I'd say before trying to actually turn him on, be his joy. When he comes home or you see him, ask him what's up. Get him to talk about what's going on, or how his day has been. Through talking and sharing, you will create rapport, making him more comfortable, relaxed, and connected to you.
Get him relaxed and shower him with your affection and presence - it will melt his stress away. I can speak personally in saying with my ex, when I was stressed, or just had a shitty day, or was depressed, I would never be in the mood and she'd never take it well. Worst of all, when I was in these moods, she would never ask what was up, she'd just be mad at me or she'd sulk for being in a bad mood until I came out of it. She wasn't a great communicator, and by sulking instead of trying to put me in a better mood, it made me feel bad, feel like it was all my fault, and made me feel like she didn't really care. This coupled with her overly stubborn personality meant I'd always have to apologise for it and everything to, even if it was her fault!
One time she bought new lingerie and showed me, and I said to her I really liked it but just wasn't in the mood. She took this horribly, since she wasn't a good communicator. She just sat down in a huff until I had to fix it.
It made me feel fucking terrible, as if it was all my fault, and it really just worsened my mood and the situation. The message from this I'd say is if he's not up for it, don't take it personally and don't call him out or question him about it, or get mad at him. I know it's frustrating, but it will not help the situation in any regard. Talk to him, show him you care through your presence and inquisition. It will make him feel better knowing you are there for him.
Most importantly, don't take it personally! It sounds like you've identified the reasoning for him being like this, so for the love of god do not think it's because of you. Take the positive from the situation - His current circumstances will not last forever. It will pass. Until then, be his joy.

Gage her level of interest before playing your cards. Make sure you’re not in fact projecting your interest on her and clouding reality. Be indifferent, if everyone is hitting her up let her come to you. If you’re dating and constantly seeing each other there are other ways to build mystery. Such as spontaneous or surprise dates, keep her guessing, or stories of your past that are entertaining. Make sure to have a purpose other than dating her, no girl wants to be put on a pedestal.
