Wah wah, kya baat. I actually find this Ghalib Ghazal deeply spiritual. Fariha sings it well.
Have you heard the the Iqbal Bano version? If not please listen to it. And if you have listened to it, please listen to it again. I can listen to it over and over again.
interesting! i favour Iqbal bano's rendition too. But lets be honest, she (fariha) has done justice to the verse and the music, plus she has a different expression, and at least there is someone carrying the torch of proper ghazal singing. Koi to hai humari generation main bhi. verna hum ne to shayeri main bhi wasi shah hi paye :)

I HAVE LISTENED VERY INTENTLY & WITH RAPT ATTENTION TO THE RENDITION OF A QUITE A NUMBER FEMALE PAKISTANI SINGERS. AND I HAVE FOUND FARIHA PERVEZ'S TO BE THE BEST ON ALL COUNTS. EACH SINGER TRIED TO GIVE OFF HER BEST. BUT, FARIHA LEVEL OF INVOLVEMENT WAS THE MOST INTENSE. MY GOOD WISHES. Dr. APU CHOWDHURY
