This channel is totally inspired on Top Gear/Grande Tour style on their reviews and I love it. To me the best example was the Moza GS wheel review, watching that review or watching Richard Hammond reviewing the Aston Martin Vantage V8 on Grand Tour for example
4:00 Coyote the gamepad usb port is there because it determines what codec the wheelbase uses for console. i.e. if you are using a ps4, you would plug your controller into the wheelbase and the wheelbase into your ps4 (ps5 requires a $20 dongle that pxn sells), and same thing for xbox.
I just got into sim racing this month. And I'm using secondhand g29 without the h shifter. And now I'm ordering this h shifter because it's compatible with t300rs wich I'm planning to upgrade to when I'm getting good, never planning to upgrade to direct drive. Thanks PXN.
Ahaha with the "quick" release, that's the same as the thrustmaster qr, and I totally agree. Pointless. It's an okay start from PXN, to be totally fair, hopefully they will iterate and improve with time 🙂 great review lad!
This is the review I needed! Thank you... I was fell in love with the PXN V10, and I saw many people loving or hating, but not really explaining. Honestly, I don't know what to do...
You are better of getting a t300 or put a little bit more money on the table and get the fanatec set for 399. (if you dont have a set yet, after 3 months)
I have its sister wheel the PXN V99 and what he says is correct. A lot of people complain that the FFB is muddy in a way. However, once I lowered the FFB to about 75%, I started to notice a lot more details. This setting alone made a huge difference.
I'm surprised that you haven't mentioned that it's basically a recycled Mad Catz wheel (if anyone remembers them) if I remember right. Maybe they can do better than Mad Catz over time, but I don't remember if the original version got any updates (didn't have one personally, so I'm not sure). We do need more budget friendly options that aren't super old, so maybe (hopefully) someone like PXN will try to fill that gap.
I had both wheels. The MadCatz I think it was like 2014 when I had it. Regardless, I think the PXN has more torque, possibly just a higher voltage to what was there on the MadCatz PSU, it sounds exactly the same as the MadCatz I remember. About as loud as a Logi Driving Force GT. Pedals are completely different, and actually really really good despite what some reviewers say. Never had a shifter for the MadCatz but I'm assuming this shifter wasn't available at the time.
One thing that some are missing is the shifter comes with as a hi/lo shifter. That's huge if you are more of a truck sim player than a racer. I'm not sure why PNX went for this option with their shifter if not to fill the void left by LG or TM. But for Truck Simulator game play, this starter wheel is perfect out of the box.
FYI, the switch at the back is used to change the degree of turning the wheel. Why? Coz when racing you have to have a short degree of turning the wheel and when driving a bus or truck you have to have a lot of turning, hence the 270 or 900.
You were almost correct. At high speeds the wheel only needs to be turned slightly when racing as the higher the speed the smaller amount of movement and on the other side 900degrees is for those sharp turns at slower speeds like a u turn which needs to be lock to lock to be done and couldn't be done on a 270
To test force feedback I'd go onto Forza and crash headfirst into another car while my hands are off, because the Logitech wheel turns really quickly in one direction.
A mechanic would tell you it was a hint of a turbo combined mostly by a loud dump valve 🙂 and yes, the Logitech G series is absolutely the go-to for the majority. I've read somewhere that the V10 is a 2014 Madkatz unit/tooling. Anyway, I believe reviews are meant to be merit based and not about chances. No one is up for, 'let's suggest we give it time to mature' - it would be different if they had a long history of iconic, successful hardware but even then I'd hesitate to offer any form of a metaphoric olive branch. If a wheel doesn't connect to AC Competizione (did the wheel have issues with in-game setup vs Logitech and Co - bet it did - know it does), feels cheap as chips, is inconsistent in almost every metric, is allegedly based on hardware/software from 2014 and costs as much as absolutely solid and established tech that can be found for as little as £40 on FB Marketplace, then there's literally no point in even hinting to unwitting potential buyers to put their money in this financial abyssal trench. Now, if the V11 lands and is brilliant then excellent. Good show. However, as a reviewer, your job is the stone cold hard objective facts and you also shouldn't base you script around what some punk like me says in the comments. Don't allow the audience to dictate your creativity, other than perhaps the like/view counter. Overall, buyer reviews for this device are questionable at best (I'm talking about genuine buyer reviews) and the shifter and pedals are something of a literal weak link - they're known to break during a relatively brief period. I researched all of the above whilst watching your review and watched your review because I saw one for sale on Amazon for nearly £300 and was a wee bit curious. I like your pace and style but remember, integrity is what people will gravitate towards over time. I know it's hard trying to cater for everyone but do what you think is right - the audience can make their own damn vids if they're so desperate to have their say...says the guy using a dummy account... FYI, I own a large 4x4 automotive channel/platform and am writing a script about sim racing, which is partly how I got here. Been trying off-road in BeamNG in VR with Quest 3 but they're still working out the kinks (tiz a bit ropey for newbies to VR). I love sim racing BTW and will always swear blind on newcomers using the G series, even a used G27 full setup for £50 is a sensible buy over an unknown or a new known brand at £300+. Thank again!
They sell the shifter seperately now. Getting one today. I mostly do open wheel formula cars, but think I might try the Miata in iRacing and thought the PXN H shifter would be a good fit to see if I like it. I noticed several people liking it better than the Logitech.
Heah, it works fine alongside my Thrustmaster TS PC racer wheel and TLCM pedals. It appears as a seperate controller in game controller settings. You just need a spare USB port
Old Hockenheim! I saw the 1995 F1 GP there. A long wait for the cars to go round, but you did see the cars for quite a long time per lap, from the main grandstand. Modern Hockenheim being shorter is probably even better for spectating.
I bought one second hand for 120 usd pretty much been playing it for a month now and what i dislike about it is the ffb you have to reduce the ffb because it is unnecessarily strong kinda like driving a car without powersteering and it also ocillates alot if ffb is at 40 to 100% you can adjust them on the phone it just that if you lower the ffb too much you get zero steering feel which is kinda hard when the car is drifting or sliding.
i bought it and after watcing this vid it just made me feel bad like i think other people are saying that its really bad and not good for starters well have a nice day
Quick question, would you rather use this or Logitech G29? (I'm leaning into Logitech G29, but I don't know if this wheel is better or not) I wanna start into driving sim..
I bought a used G27 in very good condition and a TH8A shifter as a Christmas gift from a friend. If sim racing turns out to be as much fun as it is right now i probably upgrade my wheel. Do you have a recommendation? I would prefer one that does not have console button labels and xbox or playstation branding.
g27 is great. next upgrade is logitech direct drive pro wheel. it is costly but will be the final upgrade you need. anything in between is just a waste of money.
Im picking one of these up used. An upgrade from a hori RWO with no FFB i got for 30 bucks. So in my eyes it looks like its so much better. Lower standards i guess. Getting it for 125.
so i know that this review was 2 months ago but by any chance could you fit another wheel on the base or is the for convenience? i've used it at a friends house but the wheel is so small and im wondering if its interchangeable.
You can but any nrg or whatever on this wheel no one actually dives in and then gives a review they open it up and expect to drive that’s not how it works
it's 220$ where i live and Logitic G29 is 300$(both are with thire shifter) i got both the PXN 10 and the G29 and I don't really see a huge difference In the force feedback between the two of them in today's software update. (there's a difference but not enught to make me not buy it)
The fact you said Logitech is better when the feedback doesn’t come close to this use the app and learn to dial it in you can tell your not actually getting to know it and just giving it a half ass review
The fact that its a recycled design from another company (but they didnt think to pass the savings from r&d to consumers) & the fact they think they can compete with Logitech at the 350 price. Delusionals. This couldve had potential if they undercut Logitech but nah. Fail
You have a jeremy clarkson style of 'presenting'
This channel is totally inspired on Top Gear/Grande Tour style on their reviews and I love it.

U are able to adjust the amount of feedback on the PXN app

Sounds like the FFB issue might be a software problem tbh. Hopefully they sort it out

@firstlast6618 that's good to hear
3:53 you'd have this to play older games like nfs that do not support the angles, compatible with more games essentially, a solid feature
i think the shifter felt good because it isn't being used from the mad catz version of this wheel
I'm surprised that you haven't mentioned that it's basically a recycled Mad Catz wheel (if anyone remembers them) if I remember right. Maybe they can do better than Mad Catz over time, but I don't remember if the original version got any updates (didn't have one personally, so I'm not sure).

I didn't know anything about that. I'm gonna have to look into it, no wonder the ffb felt dated
it seems like they added support for different platforms, but it is kind of disappointing that no more was done
nostalgia unlocked. I used to think gaming with the RAT 9 was a good idea lmao
I had both wheels. The MadCatz I think it was like 2014 when I had it. I'd say that in the Asian market, they already have filled that gap
As a person who dont use force feedback is an absolute win
Why would you not use force feedback
I sometimes dont use ffb at all..

LMAO, that's so true! :D
So I’ve been using the wheel for 3months and I love it the software needs a massive update but the app can be download on pc
@pmpierre8051
Can you still recommend this pxn v10? Planning to go into sim racing. Thank youu
@@RenielPlayz I still recommend I had bought a used 1, so buy a brand new but right now I’m thinking of upgrading to the V-12 lite
It's only $217 here in the Philippines though which is actually cheaper than logitech g29. I think it's a nice deal.
Did you get it? How is the experience?
I just got mine. And I love it. It's my first wheel but the FFB is great. I wasn't expecting it to actually be that strong.

MIDI is actually a REALLY traditional USB cable lol just not for younger people.
Could you please make a vid comparing Pxn V10 with the new V99? There arent many vids for the V99 and not a single one compares it with the V10.
Same pls

I use this wheel on gta 5 the ffb is amazing you can feel everything
great video mate thanks so what would you recommend for about £500 (full set up) ? i want a really good thrust back like a real car
does it deliver globaly?
U do know there is an app to control that feed back

There is a app to change the settings for the steering wheel

can the pedals work as a standalone via usb connection to pc?
That was actually a pianino,...not a piano. With that out of the way, I'm now going to enjoy the rest of the video.
You forgot a detail you forgot the app
where i live it is like less than 250 usd or less
its around $210 in my country but too expensive so i got a wheel without ffb
Which one is better?
Still got my G25
I don't think they developed anything, that's the Mad catz force feedback that failed years ago, just coming back to fail again, sad
Damn I now see it
Does it work on Xbox and on ps5?
Tryout pxn v12 direct drive wheel
Is there anyone who tried the pxn V10 pedals use in pxn V9?
Is it compatible with Xbox x and s?
So basically this wheel feels like the old Hyundai elantra steering wheel.
im just ganna buy v9 than v10 for starter 😂😂 thanks for the info...

Is it good for Forza
they made a PXN V99 which im fairly sure is their attempt to improve. review it already...
