You can literally do cartwheels in it, you can roll, you can sprint, you can bend over, lift your leg up, squat past parallel, easily get in the saddle. Hello, just letting you know that this is called buhurt and is a type of fighting that isn't representative of actual battles. The armor aren't historical and the participant can't trust- which would make a huge difference in a real fight. Also a lot of the equipment used -like the small arm shields- is a thing that never really existed.
it's way more fun that you think. It's the only sport where: You wear full armor and can ignore hits. You use weapon, you can use your gang to defeat someone. And you finish the fight without your face smashed like in other MA. And sit near the campfire in the evening with your mates and opponents, chilling with bear and cool stories :D

Spear is good at keeping the knight away from you as the horse recognize it as a danger and will try to keep away from it. Chances of piercing through a well made real armor from medieval period with a spear are seriously small... one of the facts why is most of people from that period wasn't capable of deliver enough force, as you need a decent ammount of kinetic energy to make the strike successful.

its very interesting to see how there actually is strategy and basic roles on the battlefield, with the swordsmen are upfront fighting the enemy, then u have the polearms behind them giving heavy hits to enemies already entangled. it was interesting to see in the first fight how he dealt with the enemy charging him, he tried to use his polearm to push the enemy back so he could reclaim his range advantage. very interesting sport, also looks like a lot of brain trauma lol

I've seen alot of footage about said sport, it seems they are not allowed to stab though I doubt stabbing will do much since they wear alot of padding under that chainmail and plate armor while only allowed to use dull weapons. They seem to mostly attack by bashing from the top if possible and you may beat the opponent to submission or by making them unable to fight anymore, though most would give up before getting any serious injuries. Pretty fun sport to watch lol, all the chaos of them beating each other up Edit: I think if you topple your opponent to the ground, they must stay down.

Depends on what part of the medieval ages, I'm pretty sure that there was a period when metal working got easier and most of the middle class that was levied had some kind of resistant armor, which would make them like this, the only difference is when the other guy gets in control in your wrestle, he either slips the tip of his weapon or a dagger into your throat. This is how knight fights were though, imagine it in 1 on 1 and you've got knight duels. They weren't all honorable and shit, they were just hired thugs with expensive armor. Most fights ended with one on the ground and one on top with a dagger in hand. And that's it. There's more to it than what I said, but that's me just rounding it up. Btw, unlike what movies seem to suggest, thrusts are the most sure way to finish someone in battle if they have light or cheap armor, slashed rarely do shit, unless you have a razor sharp sword and they have shit made light armor.

Hello, just letting you know that this is called buhurt and is a type of fighting that isn't representative of actual battles. The armor aren't historical and the participant can't trust- which would make a huge difference in a real fight. Also a lot of the equipment used -like the small arm shields- is a thing that never really existed.

This is such a great idea, just now found out that this type of sport exists, just experiencing the ways of medieval battles is probably hella fun
it's way more fun that you think. It's the only sport where: You wear full armor and can ignore hits. You use weapon, you can use your gang to defeat someone. And you finish the fight without your face smashed like in other MA. And sit near the campfire in the evening with your mates and opponents, chilling with bear and cool stories :D

This really shows how difficult it was to kill a knight, they really must have been tanks on the battlefield.
Most casualties in ancient battles were during the retreat, after being captured, etc etc:
These weapons are blunt and back then spears were common and could pierce armor,you don't see any here for this exact reason

Spear is good at keeping the knight away from you as the horse recognize it as a danger and will try to keep away from it. Chances of piercing through a well made real armor from medieval period with a spear are seriously small... one of the facts why is most of people from that period wasn't capable of deliver enough force, as you need a decent ammount of kinetic energy to make the strike successful.

its very interesting to see how there actually is strategy and basic roles on the battlefield, with the swordsmen are upfront fighting the enemy, then u have the polearms behind them giving heavy hits to enemies already entangled. it was interesting to see in the first fight how he dealt with the enemy charging him, he tried to use his polearm to push the enemy back so he could reclaim his range advantage. very interesting sport, also looks like a lot of brain trauma lol

You are not trying to hurt the other person just knock them over, but in a war you can do whatever you want to kill the other person. The fear of being able to die in very painful ways at any moment usually would out way the fear of a chance of being injured

It's lame. This one guy got hit so many times with a battle axe he should be long time dead.
I've seen alot of footage about said sport, it seems they are not allowed to stab though I doubt stabbing will do much since they wear alot of padding under that chainmail and plate armor while only allowed to use dull weapons.
They seem to mostly attack by bashing from the top if possible and you may beat the opponent to submission or by making them unable to fight anymore, though most would give up before getting any serious injuries.
Pretty fun sport to watch lol, all the chaos of them beating each other up

This is how knight fights were though, imagine it in 1 on 1 and you've got knight duels. They weren't all honorable and shit, they were just hired thugs with expensive armor. Most fights ended with one on the ground and one on top with a dagger in hand. And that's it.
There's more to it than what I said, but that's me just rounding it up. Btw, unlike what movies seem to suggest, thrusts are the most sure way to finish someone in battle if they have light or cheap armor, slashed rarely do shit, unless you have a razor sharp sword and they have shit made light armor.
@@1elictro Knight if win duel with second knight wouldn't kill his opponent because he can receive nice money for him.
