- The second armored bridge battle of Pennsic 50. The bridges this year were non-resurrection with a fifteen minute time limit. If a bridge remained contested at the end of that time, fighters within a spear's length of the center of the bridge at the call of time would fight it out to break the tie.
For the fourth and fifth runs of the bridge, combat archery and siege were removed from the field.
Its good to see diplomacy being practiced at its roots
I don’t see them on the field, but still have to shout, ATENVELDT!!!
Ah, brings back memories. Great video!
Love the play-by-play!
You just have to right-click, hold, and stretch it across the bridge and make sure you're using pikes -- they'll never be able to cross the bridge. ;)
Hard time getting used to see and hear this in the US. Then I remind myself most from the US have European toots😊
The unarmored photographer is has a marshal specifically designated to him to keep him safe on the field.
Looks fun
Clearly the unarmored photographer has plot armor
Hurray for the bridge
HHHHHUUUUUZZZZAH
How do the determine when your out?
It's on the combatant's honor to accept a blow. The standard is a solid blow sufficient for a blade to injure through chain armor. In practical terms, any solid blow should be accepted.
And yes, this means you can say no if you really want. However, that encourages your opponents to hit harder, and past a certain point no one wants that. If you gain a reputation for "rhino hide," refusing to accept basically anything in an effort to power through and win, you will rapidly find yourself unwelcome. It's a surefire way to suffer severe social consequences in the fighter community.
Thats awesome! Wish they did this near me, would love to watch@@RenegadePaladin
