Banggood still sells a brushless setup for $43 that works awesome in the Bandit/ Stampede 2wd. You can also upgrade the transmission, but that runs $90 . I didn't care for the transmission and went back to the stock one. Brushless is the way to go with a 2wd.
Only other cheap upgrade I would recommend is a 9Imod servo. I have 2 coreless and 1 brushless 45kg. Both are good and strong. The coreless is about $30-35 the brushless is $45ish. They are definitly durable as I have ran the cheaper coreless in my truggy for a few races testing it out. It didnt seem like enough power for the truggy, it pushed like a dump truck. However, I realized it was just the front diff had lost all its fluid. I filled it up and it turned hard again. Still yet to use the brushless, but I am already sure of there durability cause the coreless uses the same gears. Great cheap upgrade system, 4000kv should be pretty fast on 2s geared proper.
It’s easier if you remove stabilizer braces to install servo saver. Just fyi I have the original Stampede two of them that I need to completely change to fm done with am! 🤘🏼✌🏼
Good video! I just got this system have not tried it yet but does look promising. Under the foam in the box it came in there is 3m double sided tape for the ESC in the on off switch and two zip ties.
Thanks! It’s a good system….just watch your gearing…cause the high speed optional gearing seemed to strain this system quite a bit so I geared mine down to 14/83

Yeah the Venom stuff is pretty good…a lot of the batteries I have experienced seem to work as well as, if not better than the Traxxas batteries at a cheaper price too
I used wall plugs and changed to longer screw to lift the esc tray higher so I can fit in 3s battery in there. I’m sure you will try 3s on that new brushless system👍 thanks for sharing
You should be able to calibrate the transmitter and it should be good to go….no binding necessary….you might wanna go through the programming though….it shows how to do that in the instructions
There is another cheap upgrade that makes a huge difference and that is 15mm wheel hex adapters. It widens the stance just enough to help the flip overs. it really helps and its only a $10 upgrade and only takes about 15 minutes.
