Funny story, not sure if you remember, but my slipper clutch was tightened all the way and 10 minutes into driving it sheared off the roll pin on the input shaft ! Lol. Great video! Love the stampede!
Cool video, That wheelie bar the wheelie bar part is also used on the Stampede 4x4 just a different bumper mount and can also be used on the Slash 2wd. I agree with you on Philips head screws my dad has a Tamiya TT-02 and it has all Philips head screws on it and it's tricky to get them out without the risk of stripping them. I like hex heads way better but they can still strip if you're not careful i have stripped a few but i was using lower quality drivers.
Agreed with the Phillips. My rustler 2wd xl5 came with all Philips screws. I had converted it all over to hex hardware. stripped out both phillips and hex before but I strip phillips the most.
Wheelie bar is cool. How about adding a few grams of weight to the front? Amazon sells small metal weights in very small increments such as a single gram. Placed in the bumper or front of the chassis will keep it planted. It did in a very old nitro slash I used to have.
That foam piece is for the black stampede chassis and it goes in the little boxed in portion of the chassis on the very back under the platform and ull probably need that hold down cause ur chassis is shorter than the black chassis
It is all u need to raise the platform but it raises it too much with the spacers that come with it but if you go to ace hardware and get some aluminum spacers that are not as tall and a 3s pack will still fit under the platform cause it's too high for my taste with those spacers in the kit it looks stupid with the spacers in the kit and I had to drill different holes in the battery hold down posts to make the battery hold down fit tight against the battery and where it wouldn't slide out of the truck all together but I bought the kit too and just modified it with parts from ace hardware
I just bought the stampede truck and I like it,I've been checking out upgrades on Ebay and I'm going to completely up grade it,I call it thre rock spitter, lol..

Glad you liked it! Wow…that’s highly unfortunate…shoulda probably loosened it….hindsight’s always 20/20 though lol
The old hold down was on my 1994 stampede. The receiver would sit in front for it. Doesn’t work for lipos.
So it’s just for the old school ones then?
@@RCKnockout- I believe so
@@twowheelingnut7898 gotcha thanks!

Oh ok I gotcha…..yeah I can’t stand the Philips head screws…they’re so difficult to get out
cool upgrade and install
Thanks!
Great video 👍That part might just be for the brushless Vxl stampede
Thanks! That’s kinda odd that it would be a part needed for the vxl model though?

We will see….first I wanna test the Stampede with just the wheelie bar installed

Didn’t realize the Stampede was available with different chassis lengths?
@@RCKnockout ya I will send you a picture of via email cause I can't get to my camera from here to take a picture of mine
I tried to send an email through this link but it wouldn't let me but if you have an email address I can send it to you that way
You will want to zip tie that wheelie bar in the desired position they like to pop out of place all the time
Ok thanks for the tip!
any problems with that servo? also try moving your receiver to the front or add about 1 pound to the front and it will help alot i think.
No this servo has been holding up well since I’ve installed it
Nice

Next time dab a little super glue on the spacers on the backside of the plate. Less fiddling around. 😉
Thanks for the tip! 👍
@@RCKnockout I recently did straps on my Xmaxx where you have zero room for fingers in the trays. Works like a charm! 🙂 Enjoy!
@@bawx nice man!
Just buy you a bag of different mm hex screws and replace the Phillips head screws?
Yeah…they’ve got kits you can buy too….it would have been nice to have hex screws from factory though

@@davidcoffman2674 nice! It’s fun to upgrade rc cars!
Do you think you could do a 4s upgrade?
Not to mine….it wouldn’t make much sense….wouldn’t be able to get the 4s power down with a 2wd rc like the Stampede
I run mine without a wheely bar, it's called throttle control. A
