Aveeno Eczema Balm - highly recommended by Dr. Dray - is awesome. Looks like vaseline and you might be scared but it sinks in beautifully. (I don't even have eczema. So glad she turned me on to it).
Honestly Dr. Dray, you’ve been the highlight of 2020 in my life. I’ve learned so much from you but also... this channel is so positive! Thank you so much.
I just tried the CeraVe moisturizing cream on your recommendation and I have to say I love it. It's actually more moisturizing than vanicream moisturizing cream when I use it on my face. Also, I tried the Bioderma Sensibio AR cream on my red face and this morning the redness has calmed down a lot! Thanks Dr Dray!
A balm video would be great! As a Covid unit nurse my skin has been taking a beating now that it’s winter in NJ. Between lack of adequate water drinking thanks to PPE wearing along endless hand washing and sanitizing I can’t get enough moisturizer when I get home!
After 47 years I FINALLY found my body skin holy grail.... Straight out of the shower (before drying) I use Baby oil on my body, and then I use Eucerin Rough and Bumpy all over that (learned about that brand from your channel). I let it dry for a few minutes and then my skin is SO SOFT until my next shower!! Thank you for your recommendations - you are really making a difference in my skin care!! The Eucerin Rough and Bumpy is by far the most effective lotion I've tried. I even bought a tub for everyone in my family! Those bumps on the backs of my arms are GONE! YIPPEEE!!!
Eucerin for face and Avenida for body. This combo healed my eczema. I also apply CeraVe healing ointment on my face at night. Absolutely life changing. :)
Which lubriderm product have you been using, and do you use it on your face? I've been using Lubriderm Advanced Moisture Therapy Lotion for body, and CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion for face
@@nathanaels4186 I use that same lubriderm for my body. On my face I use something much lighter because I have combo acne prone skin on my face. Recently have been using the neutrogena hydroboost fragrance free.
@@natashapaulic5765 Awesome! I just discovered lubriderm a week ago (it was on sale at Shoppers Drug Mart) and I absolutely love it, hopefully Dr. Dray will talk about it one day 🤞
If you want one for your face La roche posay cicaplast baume b5 is very good. It's about $15.00. Also their Lipikar balm AP+ is a great body cream. Trader Joe's Head to Toe balm is very good for hands and feet. It has shea butter and beeswax. It comes in a metal container and is 4 or 5 dollars. Thank you for your service.
Avenno restorative skin line has changed my winter. It’s been using the products for only a few weeks and I noticed a difference the first night. No more restless nights with the itching and burning of dry irritated skin. I’ve also started using the face wash too. Thank you for sharing this amazing lineup of products. First winter I’m not already at the doctors for my dry skin. The snow is coming down.
So true. I hate when she makes claims like this. There is no possible way she could know if a product will sting and burn someone... It's like when she claims different sunscreens won't sting and burn around the eyes, but I personally have suffered from a lot of her recommendations.
Great video! We woke up at 7F. We need all the help we can get with the heater running all the time. We finished vanicream, and I got the biggest cerave jar I could find
I have used Eucerin since you recommended it in one of your earlier videos. It has proved really effective in stopping soreness, dryness and itching on my arms and legs. So thank you!
I sometimes watch your old videos and you´ve made such progress. You´re so good at talking I listen to you while doing other things and it relaxes me lol. Love the effects in this one. I´m so grateful to have you as my dermatology teacher :D. *coming from a teenage boy
Thank you for this list! I have been battling with eczema for the past 8 years with no relief. After watching your videos I’ve realized that I need to pay closer attention to the ingredients in my body products. I bought the Cetaphil one today so I’m excited to try it. Thanks again for your all your tips. I love your channel. I live in San Antonio so not too far from you!
Two of my favorite are Gold Bond Eczema (2%colloidal oatmeal) and Curél Ultra Healing Intensive (red header-extra dry skin). When you have nasty cracked hands from all the soap and sanitizer. Use these I have eczema and fragrance tends to burn. These do not have fragrance.
For those of y'all still looking for the discontinued Neutrogena Hydroboost LOTION, (WITH the magical polyhydroxiacids Dr. Dray is talking about), they essentially just rebranded it as Neutrogena 'Visibly Renew'. That took me a lot of research to get to finally figure out. So, it is still available, just in a different bottle. Thank me later. 😇
Been using that Neutrogena Night lotion and my skin has never felt so soft! I love using it because it doesn't leave a residue after the shower and sinks into the skin really quickly. It's my new favorite!
This was definitely a good one to watch. I've been absolutely loving the CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion for all over the body, but this was nice to watch in case I want to try other moisturizers. I will definitely look into Neutrogena, Aveeno, Altruist, and Rovectin.
In western PA, we are in the middle of receiving 5-8 inches of snow...you can have it all! If I never saw another flake in my life, it would be too soon!
Dear Dr Dray Could you please do a video for pregnancy safe products - moisturizers , sunscreen , and help address acne control, stretch marks etc. Thank you for all you do.

I have had dry skin my whole life, deal with chicken skin and I live in a very dry state. How many times a day should I moisturize? I haven't done it much in the past but I am wanting to make it part of my daily routine.
The Eucerin cream is the only thing that helped my infant's eczema lesions. They were to the point of scarring and we did everything the pediatrician recommended but randomly tried this after my hand cream was substituted with the healing cream tub. It worked within 48 hours. And it goes so far.
Who else cannot wait for her video to get over, and feels this indomitable urge within to pause the video and run to Amazon to order the item right away??!!
In upper western Virginia it has been snowing since 9 am and just turned to freezing rain & sleet!!! We have about 9 inches of snow so far and it is SO PRETTY! But very cold outside and we have a woodstove that my husband loves to heat up the place with -so definitely use lots of moisturizers and drink lots of H20. Of course I want a balm video since I haven't seen the first one - relatively new subscriber since the pandemic. Love all your suggestions and feel like I am definitely on the no fragrance, simpler is better bandwagon. Look forward to your vlogs of shopping and cooking (living vicariously these days! We finally got snow in Iowa last week. This is when my son's eczema gets worse. I used to use prescription Betamethasone Dipropionate but Aveeno Baby Eczema Therapy Nighttime Moisturizing Balm with Colloidal Oatmeal & Ceramide saved my son's eczema. He's not a baby anymore. He's 6 years old but I still use it. It's fragrance- & steroid-free.
Balm video PLEASE Ma’m 🙏🏼 Ever since you recommended Aveeno Eczema Balm I use it everyday - my rosacea loves it the best. The price is great for a big ole tub. I goop it on damp skin like a luxury mask every night. I also use Cerave ointment or even beef tallow (great for protecting long hair too) for super dry days.
"Don't sleep on this?" Is that an American expression? I've lived here for years but have never heard that. In New York the storm is just starting now, it's snowing with hail and blowing sideways. They say to expect at least a foot of snow in the city, more in the suburbs. As long as we don't lose power I'm fine with staying home and watching movies. And watching videos.
The saying is - Let me sleep on it. Meaning let me think about it before I commit. What she’s saying is - you don’t need to think or hesitate on trying these particular products.
For me, don’t sleep on this is a slightly different expression! It means don’t ignore this aka don’t be late to the bandwagon. Used for under hyped things
It’s super cold and dry here in Oklahoma. I despise dry itchy skin and experience static electricity which exasperates the discomfort of dry skin. I have been using cetaphil with added hemp oil after my nightly shower and I’m amazed at the improvement!
I lived in Houston for 15 years and absolutely loved it but now I live in South Dakota and it’s played havoc on my skin. Right now I’m alternating between the Cerave and the Neutragena hydroboost in the bottle. Your comment about soap lathering up in the summer humidity is so funny but so true. I do not miss the feeling of my make up sliding off my face when I step out the door. Merry Christmas
Yes, please do an updated balm/ointment video. P.S. I have a video idea. Popular skincare products (loofah, physician scrubs)/brands (Johnson, Lush, Bath & Body Works, etc) that you don’t recommend and why.
I live in the pacific northwest, so the humidity actually goes up in winter and down in summer, so these moisturizers are great for summer too. It's cold and rainy here and I love it.

My mom used baby lotion on me because it was really all she had back in the day. I still have it occassionally so I will give your recommendation a try. My litted 7 year old grand daughter also has it so I will pass this on to her, too. You are so informative. Thank you.
I wanted to say that I tried the Aveeno protect and repair gel cream on your recommendation and I absolutely love it. I can’t do Cerave products because something in them irritate my skin and cause some sort of dermatitis. This Aveeno product is the bomb!
Ironically I can't use the Neutrogena Hydro Boost body gel cream on my face because it stings and burns. However , I can tolerate any CeraVe product on my face. I have used the Neutrogena Hydro Boost in the jar with no issues, hummm. I am definitely enjoying the Neutrogena Hydro Boost body gel cream on my body, thanks for the rec ;)
I would love a winter balm video. But I would especially love to see you keep reviewing non-drugstore product lines. Especially the ones who claim to be clean and breakthrough.
I bought moisturizers yesterday as I seriously needed I got sensitive/dry skin and got laxed using moisturizer. Darn I will save this vid for my next shopping day. Thank you
As a Brit, you best believe that Altruist Dry Skin Repair Cream got added to my Amazon shipping list as soon as she mentioned it 😂 It's £5 for 200ml, that's a bargain in the UK! Update: OMG, it's amazing. Literally leaves your skin feeling like silk once it's dried down! I've noticed a significant improvement in softness; my skin feels like velvet now! I slather it on every chance I get because it feels sooo good!
Eucerin Roughness Relief is also an awesome cream for winter, as well as the original Eucerin cream. I vote Yes on an updated balm video, thanks for asking, Dr. Dray. Have a great day everyone! 💙
I used to use Cetaphil restoraderm skin restoring body moisturizer for around 3 years on the advice of my dermatologist and it really worked for me since I suffer from icthyiosis vulgaris. But last year, I noticed that it was not as effective as before.. Not sure if it was due any formula change.. Anyways I stopped using it as it's really expensive in India. Currently using a moisturizer called moisturex that contains 10% urea , lactic acid, propylene glycol and light liquid paraffin.
(Since you asked) I live where we just came out of a deep freeze. The temps were down in the single digits & minus 1 w/wind chill. Tomorrow is supposed to be in the 40's which will , I'm sure, feel downright balmy ! lol I can't use CeraVe. It just sits on my skin for hours, feeling sticky, never gets absorbed. Love the Aveeno Calm & Restore line.
I'm using Numis med Urea 5% body lotion since october and i soooo in love with it. Absorbs quickly, pretty moisturizing, really helped with skin dryness and im not getting sweaty because of it (some body creams/lotions did this)
Happy Wednesday, Dr. Dray and the Dr. Dray Community! I just restocked on tubs of the CerVe Moisturizing Cream and CerVe Healing Ointment for this winter season. Asteatosis cutis... yeah don't know her anymore!

Eucerin Roughness Relief is also an awesome cream for winter, as well as the original Eucerin cream. I vote Yes on an updated balm video, thanks for asking, Dr. Dray. Have a great day everyone! 💙
You’re channel has saved my skin! You are so informative and I appreciate it so much 🤍 please keep doing what you do! You’re making a huge difference
Yay for this! My skin gets so dry and itchy in the Winter. Thanks Dr Dray! Happy Wednesday!! Hope you have a peaceful evening. ❤
Yes please an updated Winter Balm video! Thank you for this!
Yes we are getting snow today.
We got rain
🌨️ snow here
I'm using Numis med Urea 5% body lotion since october and i soooo in love with it. Absorbs quickly, pretty moisturizing, really helped with skin dryness and im not getting sweaty because of it (some body creams/lotions did this)
Yes to the balm video. The difference between Creams/balms/ointments is confusing. Lotion isn’t cutting it on the lizard legs. Thanks
I love that you suggest affordable brands! 👌🥰
Happy Wednesday, Dr. Dray and the Dr. Dray Community! I just restocked on tubs of the CerVe Moisturizing Cream and CerVe Healing Ointment for this winter season. Asteatosis cutis... yeah don't know her anymore!
I will trade an American shopper for a CeraVe Healing Balm (always) out of stock grrr! For something you may want from Australia? Oh I see Dr Dray just did a video on Azalaic Acid I can by that no restricts for example. I use Azclear at 20% costs about $15. ☺️🇦🇺
Yes, I want an updated balm video! I loved your last one. It was so helpful.
I saw a video of Dr Dray using the Vaseline Lotion and i bought it. Love it, my favourite body moisturizer
It's so good!
A winter balm video is exactly what I need in my life!
We have snow in Colorado today! These recommendations will definitely help with the dryness here
1:28 is some quality editing. Love it!
