When you invite an introvert to an event and their response is a slightly panicked expression and "uh..." they are frantically trying to think of a plausible excuse to escape.
"Yeah, Cool. I'm up for whatever", took me a minute to understand but I got it. Lmfao....atleast I'm pretty sure I did. Introverts typically don't want to go out ...but then they also say that they do. Either because they want to believe that they can enjoy going out of the house. OR because its easier to say yes and agree, than to say no and explain why.
I remember people thinking they are punishing me by refusing to visit. They didn't know I'm actually relieved and glad. What baffles them is why I don't beg to see them... Or be angry when we meet unexpectedly...
As ENFJ/ENFP who is surrounded by several introverts for long years, I would say this. Introverts can talk, a lot. They just need to have created a proper conditions and their boundaries to be respected: 1) They need to know you to open up 2) They need to know you have genuine interest in what they are saying, also by attentive listening 3) They need a certainty that short answer is sometimes sufficient for you and you won't dig but... 4) Sometimes they need a little nudge, a short question by which you assertain them that their problems are important for you and they don't need to feel ashamed to talk about it... if this nudge is given in not pressing, but really ascertaining way, it can really help them to open up and then you should just shut up and listen :)
That actually sounds like a good idea, if only there was a duolingo course for each personality type. Everyone would understand each other so much better ❤

So funny and accurate! I’m an INFJ. I’ve sometimes come out in tests as ENFJ and I can be sociable when I need to be, but introversion is probably my basic nature.
That's funny cause I took the test and always get INTP but i answered more social answers this time cause I've gotten much more social after overcoming trauma and it still said INTP lol
U know I'm really glad that there are introverts out there.... Cuz they actually listen to us extroverts💕 (Also in group projects they do all the work and I just do the talking)😂😂😂
Gotta warn you though, although we thank you for doing the talking, it really annoys introverts when you just let them do all the work. We'll DO it, and we won't complain to your face, but it's actually super annoying to us. On the flip side, we'll probably never say anything about this either, but we really love it when you do do an equal amount of the work. Just a helpful tip :)
@@willowphoenix5926 ooohh ok thanks for telling me its just that as an extrovert when I don't like something I would say it but I see how its different for introverts as they're not as sociable I'll try to be more understanding🙂

As an introvert that doesn't lie. I just alter whatever so I don't have to lie. Don't want to express emotion? Get rid of emotion in -0.7 seconds. You got the questions on a worksheet right? Use a pencil and pen technique to rewrite the answers so you're wrong. (Yes, honesty includes showing I'm a failure) It's just that easy.
Aw that dad was so cute, I couldn’t even get mad. That shows your really loves you and wants to connect. Whichever parent really, warms my heart even though its just a skit
Hmm, I guess all introverts do that isn't it? Just "open" with "circle friends" or family members, wait until others throw out some conversation and we joining. I feel that too btw
Speaking introvert is simple it's just a bunch of ways to say no when people ask what you want until you say yes because that's what you've wanted all along
I’ve never thought about how introverts speak their own convoluted language?? And we all understand each other to some extent in that language but can’t communicate properly in English when it comes to basic socialization??
I think we have a lot of body language communication. For example I sometimes volunteer at museums to give tours, and I can instantly tell if an introvert is uncomfortable and trying to escape, without them saying a word. I have gone and rescued introverts from fellow tour guides many times by walking up, offering to show them something, then doing a quick "let me know if you have questions!" and then leaving them be, safely in a different room. I've gotten a lot of "THANK YOU!" responses.
No one in my family every understood me at ALL growing up. I'm now in my 40's. I have no contact or communication with them. We all have up. I do however have 4 kids & all of them are introverts. They are great people!

@@harryboyes2812 For me it starts with „Last week (or whenever for that matter) this happened and my answer is “I know, I was there.” or I continue their story and they get freaked out because they realise all the possible times I was there without them knowing it. 😂
The amount of times I used that 'need to go to sleep rn because I have an early morning' excuse in just one week alone, is ridiculous
I use that one a lot plus "I have work tonight" and the old standby "I need to run an errand, I'll meet you there (I don't)"
Why did I think the dad was actually his dad for a moment
I can see why you thought that. They have a striking resemblance.

😂😂😂😂❤️
*stares at phone * means leave
Answering "yeah" while smiling means we love you
Answering "yeah" while not smiling means we are not happy 🙃
This could definitely be a small pamphlet
When you invite an introvert to an event and their response is a slightly panicked expression and "uh..." they are frantically trying to think of a plausible excuse to escape.
Worse if you simply never smile...people don't know what you mean about anything.
They just need to have created a proper conditions and their boundaries to be respected:
1) They need to know you to open up
2) They need to know you have genuine interest in what they are saying, also by attentive listening
3) They need a certainty that short answer is sometimes sufficient for you and you won't dig but...
4) Sometimes they need a little nudge, a short question by which you assertain them that their problems are important for you and they don't need to feel ashamed to talk about it... if this nudge is given in not pressing, but really ascertaining way, it can really help them to open up and then you should just shut up and listen :)
5) if we say we dont like something what we realy mean is, i HATE this
I love the Duolingo introvert accent. This one was sooo hilarious!
That actually sounds like a good idea, if only there was a duolingo course for each personality type. Everyone would understand each other so much better ❤
As long as it has a 'confidential' setting for INFJs :)
Fe-dom vibes
At least he is trying to understand you. I would be so happy for finally someone to understand and not call me a weirdo
I'm happy my parent give some space to me and never annoyed with their " INTROVERT" daughter...
PS: because they "INTROVERT" too
That's a very good father , making efforts to communicate.
We love parents like this! Trying everything to understand their kid!
Yes! I hate it when people ask, “Isn’t it obvious?” Um, obviously not.
"my native language is english"
"That's what I used to think, too!"
me: 👁️👄👁️
"The phrase for, 'I don't want to go to the discoteque'..." 😂 Introvert busted by Duolingo! 😜🤦👍💜
My dad does his best to understand my introverted ways. Then proceeds to invitie me to a family get together.. "Self Head Slap"
My dad: knows that im an introvert with social anxiety
Also him: forces me to go to a Thanksgiving dinner with a bunch of people i dont know and are uncomfortable to be around with.
Me and my sister literally start binge watching your videos! Why can't we just stop at one video? Like why are you so relatable man😂🤣????
😂😂😂😂😂 I'm dying. I wish my parents, who are both extroverts, could've downloads this version of duolingo to find out what's going on with me, their very introverted daughter 😂😂😂😂
Amazing vid, FJ! You keep oudoing yourself 😂😂✨✨✨✨✨✨💜
I thoght it's genetic. Our family spends 98% of the day each in ther own room lol. Usually we just run into each other in the kitchen.
@@Gaze73 omg that sounds amazing 💖💖💖💖💖💖👌🏻😭😭 I'd give it all to have a family dinamic like that!
It’s so weird because I don’t talk at all near people I don’t know really well and I’m so scared of social interaction but when I’m with my parents or best friend, I’m like the biggest extrovert on earth. Like what even am I? Lol
That was so accurate I'm glad that course doesn't exist for real because as much as would like my family to understand what I'm really saying...I would hate for my family to understand what I'm really saying.
How I say I'd like to watch Frank James: "Yeah, cool. I'm down for whatever."
That Duolingo course would actually be pretty useful.
I hate when people say Im good with whatever, LIKE HELLO, PLEASE HELP ME WITH THE DECISION. THAT GIVES ME NOTHING TO GO ON loooool
i haven't dealt with lately😂😂finally broke my husband of saying that, i used to say, help with the decision 👍🏻
@@Kate98755 hahahah how long did it take??
I usually say, "I don't care." But I think it means the same thing.
Ikr
edit: buuut I feel a tad hypocritical saying that becuz the reason I want THEM to suggest something is precisely because *I* am cool with whatever they want to do 😅
Do you happen to be a J? Lol. I find Ps tend to be more indecisive than Js. What is really weird is, as an INFP, who is very indecisive, when I find others who are even MORE indecisive than I am, and so then I have to make the decision. Oof
"You sound like you were hit in the head with a two-by-four"
I'm dead🤣🤣🤣
So funny and accurate! I’m an INFJ. I’ve sometimes come out in tests as ENFJ and I can be sociable when I need to be, but introversion is probably my basic nature.
That's funny cause I took the test and always get INTP but i answered more social answers this time cause I've gotten much more social after overcoming trauma and it still said INTP lol
U know I'm really glad that there are introverts out there....
Cuz they actually listen to us extroverts💕
(Also in group projects they do all the work and I just do the talking)😂😂😂
Gotta warn you though, although we thank you for doing the talking, it really annoys introverts when you just let them do all the work. We'll DO it, and we won't complain to your face, but it's actually super annoying to us. On the flip side, we'll probably never say anything about this either, but we really love it when you do do an equal amount of the work. Just a helpful tip :)
@@willowphoenix5926 ooohh ok thanks for telling me its just that as an extrovert when I don't like something I would say it but I see how its different for introverts as they're not as sociable
I'll try to be more understanding🙂
Many of us are simply smiling painfully, nodding occasionally, so it’ll seem like we’re listening, and hoping you’ll stop talking soon so we can go back to our thoughts.
@@altitudeiseverything3163 introverts are very different from us extroverts as I love conversations and I love to socialise and talk and before I used to think that introverts were people who were just sad or depressed but I realised that people are different and some people might not like to talk or socialise,
Us extroverts do have a downside tho, we just say whats on our minds or when others talk we might just talk over them cuz thats what we like doing I guess
@@laibasohail4604 I am an introvert but I would talk in a group and work at the same time but only if I have to.Then again I have the ISTJ personality type.I do some small talk everyday but for a limited amount of time.
WE NEED MORE ENNEAGRAM TYPES SKETCHES.😭😭😭😭😭😭
Can't tell if this is sponsored by Duo Lingo or not 😂
“If it was obvious I wouldn’t be asking you what you were doing”
That’s so me
“Why are you shuffling around acting like you want to talk but not saying anything.”
That first part was my very introverted ISTJ son. Like. I think FJ has cameras in my house. 😳
If it really worked, whenever you tell Duolingo a phrase you want to say to an introvert the conversion would read: "SEND A TEXT."
Awkwardly stand around until people ask you what's up , you look like you are about to throw up LMAo
Awesome exactly what I needed
As an introvert that doesn't lie.
I just alter whatever so I don't have to lie.
Don't want to express emotion?
Get rid of emotion in -0.7 seconds.
You got the questions on a worksheet right?
Use a pencil and pen technique to rewrite the answers so you're wrong. (Yes, honesty includes showing I'm a failure)
It's just that easy.
"you sound like you were hit on the head with a 2×4" 😅😅😅😅
Wow, I feel so special... the video came out 2 minutes ago but there are already tons of comments from 11 hours ago 😂
Yes but your comment is from ten minutes ago and the video says it's from 6 minutes ago... You are a time traveler too!!
In the next video: "Today's sponsor is Duolingo for Introvertese. When simply listening is not enough."
I always love the creativity of Frank's sketches😁
Yeah, some people think us introverts just need more social interaction.
Aw that dad was so cute, I couldn’t even get mad. That shows your really loves you and wants to connect. Whichever parent really, warms my heart even though its just a skit
Duolingo: Newman! 😤
Exactly!💀😂👍
What the fuck????? You commented 12 hours ago?? How is that even possible?
"the phrase for I am very angry is no I am not angry"
god damn you Doulingo, god daaaamn youuu.
Lol the accent though I guess that's just our introvert monologue voice because we have plenty of those right
Looks like your are an introvert...
Relatable AF
I finally found someone who really understands how an introvert feels like
I’m introvert but I’m really normal or even act outgoing with the people I’m super close to.
We need this on Doulingo
I have never meet a dad showing this much love to their son by trying to understand their language. Am I the only one?
...but it's a two way thing
“Why is it in that accent?” LMAO
FJ, please keep up the good content! You make so many people's days brighter
"Introversion doesn't define who I am" - speak for yourself
Hahaha! I'm going to contribute to this course on Duolingo when it's a thing!
Both personalities were great. Enjoyed this skit.
I mean, yes, he can know talk in the native language.
They couldn’t talk before, so.
"My Language Is English" LMAO!! You are crazy talented. My laughs for the day!
Ah yes now I can talk to you your native language.
My native language is English.
Had my dying 😂😂😂
This is funny way to talk introvert feelings
„Isn’t it obvious?“
Infj: Yes, you‘re totally obvious. But I never am. So keep studying...
No one in my family every understood me at ALL growing up. I'm now in my 40's. I have no contact or communication with them. We all have up. I do however have 4 kids & all of them are introverts. They are great people!
