I got a joke for you guys while we wait. Who built King Arthurs roundtable?
Sir Cumference...
Your dad joke is strong 💪
Love it, totally saving this one 😂
That is loveably cheesy :)
@@BlockheadMoto would this bike be good for a beginner?
🤣
Harley:. Jason Momoa
Indian: Sends all the best moto vloggers on a majestic trip and watches as they do their thing!!!
Just ordered the 2022 Cheif Darkhorse. I'm sooo freakin excited
I bought the stealth gray Indian chief darkhorse and have forward controls and mini apes on order. Awesome bike!
I am considering the Stealth Gray color as well, think I'll be doing forward controls with floorboards and the 1920 Solo Seat.
This was an AWESOME REVIEW!!! Guy below NAILS IT.....Harley pays Jason Mamoa a couple million bucks and I saw the dude take spray paint to a Harley that anyone would give their right arm for (And not only that, they cut loose Adam Sandoval a year ago, the guy traveled around the country for 4 YEARS promoting your brand in the highest light!!).....Indian spends less than 50-100k and brings 20 of the most popular RUclipsrs and turn them loose....THIS IS HOW ITS DONE!!! While I literally JUST BOUGHT a Brand new Road Glide, I sure as hell wish Harley treated people like Indian does!!!
This was such an amazing time! Your video captured the trip perfectly! There was literally a “want” for nothing! (Except maybe a bit warmer weather) I had so much fun riding with everyone! And to clarify. I called my bike “Grandpa” because I was straight chillin on that thing! 😅
Her two wheels ..... your video was stunning too! Excellent coverage of Grandpa! Ride safe Jess...
haha nice just saw this finally and it was after seing your video
I love the New Indian chief
Y’all are 👍🏿👍🏿
With all the bullshit people calling for cancel culture of well established business I'm glad Indian didn't become a casualty and I am a Harley Davidson Guy, but I don't think any business deserves to be shut down or changed because people are offended.
I'm not trading in my Harley I'm not trading in my Harley I'm not trading in my Harley... But man this makes me want to
We only living twice!
Get the nicest, fastest, best motorcycle you can afford. The grin factor when you ride a highly refined motorcycle with all the modern features, and a really well tuned engine, is pure bliss. One thing about the Indian bikes, is they have incredibly good engines with a ton of power. Power makes for smiles.
Give it a couple years and you might. The only thing that's gonna hold Indian back is the availability of after market accessories. Even Hondas suffer in this regard (I have several items on my Shadow which were made for Sportsters and I had to modify them). Harley definitely has the market cornered when it comes to being able to customize their bikes....so much so that they're actually designed for it. That's why Harley engines are turned way down in terms of usable power. When Indian sells enough bikes that private companies start manufacturing more accessories at a palpable price, there won't really be any reason to own a Harley over an Indian anymore.
always always always remember; Indian shut down three times after the brand was revived. Polaris may back them now, but they also did Victory. Victory is a memory.
@@deangullberry5148 It would have been silly for Polaris to have two competing lines of motorcycles. Indian has name recognition Victory hadn’t gained that much yet. I can understand why they made the change. I forget which Victory was rebadged to become the Challenger. The Octane became the Scout. The Indian Chief didn’t really look very good. Making this new style for the bike was a solid move. I don’t think Indian will be going anywhere.
That thing looks niiiiiiiiice
the more they try to look like harlys the better they look XD
Looks better than a harley
@@kippmiller4139 nah it looks like a cheap copy
Yo Jake ....🤩
@@kippmiller4139 Harley is the KING ....aged ok ...
That gauge cluster looks very nest home thermostat looking! Does look cool though, loving that paint color!!!
Harley: no more dyna...
Indian: let's make a dyna!!!
Love this new Polaris Dyna !!
But better
Well there is a dyna-ish bike, low rider s is a pretty damn close minus the larger front rake
Closer comparison is the HD Slim - comparing the two sets of specs, it's a close copy of the Slim.
@@youmustbethistall5861 my thoughts exactly
I took the super chief out for a couple rides in Ocala. It's a great ride. You do sit forward a tad bit at 5'10". I had the 116 which was pretty powerful for a small bike. The control was made easy for the rider by Indian. Just about everything you could improve from the last Chief was done. There wasn't anything I didn't like on the bike. The new controller was great! Indian is doing everything that HD should be doing but refuses.
The frame reminds me of an FXR. A good thing. They are strong.
Glad they got people like yourself, HerTwoWheels, and Killswitch Queen out for this.
You know, actually cruiser riders! A lot more in touch than putting Walterific on a Ultra Classic.
Better be ready to pay the price putting walterrific on an ultra classic. Win win for the community
Brought my first bike home today...2021 softail standard! Thank you blockhead for all your content and inspiration that helped me pull the trigger on this!
An exciting feeling - congrats!
Best possible choice from HD imo. Gratz dude! Nice choice!
Jealous... i bought a vstrom 650 for my first, now, after 5000 miles, I'm ready for some of that HD Love !!
Just made my last child support payment !! LET'S GOOOO 🤣🤣🇺🇸🇺🇸👍👍
Being a Victory owner...this bike looks like it’s a crossbreed of the Victory Vegas and the Victory Gunner, minus a mono shock. If you look at 2016 Vegas when the brought the round headlight in, you can definitely see the resemblance between that and the Chief Dark Horse. I’m liking it. Once I decide to move on from my Victory Magnum, Indian is looking like it’s in my future.
Also, awesome vids Blockhead. You’re killin’ it!
Man that sagebush green looks clean. Indian kicking all the goals for me. LOVE IT!
Sharp looking bike. Like the wheels for sure. Some fellow riders and I saw a road runner in the Arkansas Ozarks. We spooked it and it ran between bikes. When we stopped, we were like "Was that a road runner????". It was indeed.
For scientific moto studies & reasonings hopefully next time your able to bring BaggerBro into the mix, so we all can enjoy, I mean collect data on the Blockhead and Baggerbro Experience!
3:13 ( cartoon noises ) See, this is why I come here. Crisp High-Five my friend!
Awesome video. Ever since I saw these bikes drop, I've wanted one. I don't ride yet but when I do I think will be the bike. Except with forward controls as I am 6'2 209lbs lol. Keep making great videos and stay safe out there! 🇨🇦🇨🇦
Ahh, 89A out of Sedona into Cottonwood, up to Jerome, up over Mingus Mountain into Prescott. Now you ARE in my old stomping grounds. Great riding, great views, great food.
Indian bobber my favorite, but this pretty cool. Making it harder for my second bike
That bike is sick looking! Can't wait to see one in person. Keep up the good work and videos blockhead. Thanks for all you do for us out here buddy.
Victory Judge reborn! I love it.
My thoughts too. I have a Judge in nuclear sunset matte paint. It was a dark horse in 2013. The four gallon tank on this bike looks better than the five gallon tanks on the Victory steel frame.
Now your talking.. polaris had me with the victory.. there own built bike and brand and style.. they sold there own name to buy someone else's.. what a shame
"Look a Roadrunner." - Blockhead
*Looks for a Mopar* - My dumbass
"Beep Beep"
I've scraped the 2 into 1 on my challenger a few times riding, bike is so easy to ride and throw around, but gotta be aware for sure.
@Blockhead How does this bike compare to the Low Rider S? I know you mentioned you would likely be purchasing the Chief. If you had to pick between the Low Rider S and the Chief, which do you think would win out, and why?
Thanks, love your videos!
Many other people and RUclipsrs, including Shadetree, think that the only way that Polaris and Indian are successful is that it has to beat Harley-Davidson straight up in sales, merchandise, etc. The only thing that Indian has to do really is to sell enough motorcycles to make HD nervous. We have seen this happen with the scout lineup, it did well enough to merit a Softail competitor in the Indian chief. Hopefully, this sells well enough, to light a fire in the ass of Harley to make better bikes.
Love that grey.
Underused color on motorcycles honestly
My least favorite color on any vehicle made. Different strokes for different folks I guess.
I so can’t wait to hear which bike you like better This or the FTR
I hear the same consistent comments about Indian bikes, Sport mode is the best mode they have.
The devil inside of me wanted indian to put the powerstroke in it, or at least be an options. That would have turning it into such a fun monster to ride!
I see some of the Victory bike in the Chief, a line Polaris should NOT have eliminated, as it was a fine line.
Victory bikes were a serious challenge & alternative to a Harley.
This Chief may be Victory in disguise.
Love that ride between Prescott and Jerome, always fun and very scenic. BTW never let a local hear you pronounce it press- scott, they will look at you like you have 3 heads.
How is it pronounced?
I'm usually not a fan of displays that look like hockey pucks BUT this one actually looks decent when it's on. Beautiful bike, my dude 👌
Brandon gave you a nod. Gonna be checking out his entire list of reviewers / utubers he mentioned.
Of course Ive already been a fan of yours for a couple years now. My how you're growing;)
Hopefully Brandon can too.
Y'all are both cool cats in my book
I'm not super well versed in Harley models but it seems like this is Indian's version of the Dyna! Indian just keeps on putting out amazing stuff, the scout when it came out was the bike that got me interested in motorcycles and the scout bobber is one of my dream bikes
Oh that bike 😩 I want my own now! Great take on it block
Love those Indian motorcycles!
They just keep getting better and better!!
A really good quick overview based on some solid riding for 100 miles. Well done.
I smashed that sub button right after you said you were going to ride it with forwards and a stage 2! At 5'6", I'm really digging the new Chief lineup and can't wait to hit up my local dealer when they have a demo day this April!
Indian needs to hire you as their sales consultant. Awesome informative coverage of the bike. Gonna test ride one now and may be add one to my garage.
I test rode this as i was looking for my first cruiser, and i couldn't get over the shaking.
Great video. But mainly I was just happy to have the fist bump noise back!!!
i love that route I take 89 down to sedona and then that route through jerome up to the 40 and home
Really looking forward to the 116 stage 2 review!
Was looking for a vintage FXR may change my mind . Really like this bike thanks to your very well produced video. Thanks
Glad Indian is making more models than just their touring line and the FTR. These bikes are dope. Now a huge thing they could do to improve their competitiveness to Harley has nothing to do with building bikes, but dealerships. If they had more dealerships I think even more people would buy Indians. Some want Indians but get Harleys because of that peace of mind that if something happens on the road they won’t be too far from a dealer. Where Indian is missing that safety net. Cheers and ride safe!
Harley souls offer their 117 in a smaller bike. The Indian engine more compact vs Harley’s tall and long engine. Gear driven primary vs chain driven primary. Less power loss and less maintenance
Imagine that. You make the best possible motorcycle, without cutting any corners, and giving people the best quality, and best engineering, and the people buy the product, and they tell others to buy the product! Harley doesn't deserve people's money, because their approach has been based on marketing, and greed. Indian build quality and engineering is outstanding.
Really sharp-looking bike. I like that grey color too.
Forwards are a definite plus for longer rides for guys with a little longer inseam.
That scenery is to die for.
Great vid brother.
Great review and super of Indian to have you all out there in Sedona to ride these bikes! Can’t wait to see one and test ride it at the local dealer. Ride safe brother!
Congratulations 👍 to Blockhead on going from a gun instructor to You Tube motorcycle critic. And just think, it all started with him having bought & learned to drive his first bike, a Harley 883 Iron!!!
I find his remarks to be some of the most real & informative.
Got a '21 Silverado Z71 Trail Boss (blacked out) and a '19 Blazer Premier (blacked out) in the garage and looking to get this next year as a retirement present to myself after 24yrs in Army and USAF finishes next October ('23). It was between the Scout Bobber and this one but the Scout Bobber seems smaller/shorter and, being 6'4, gotta go with bigger/higher option... Chief Dark Horse it is then... blacked out of course. Can't wait... and thanks for these cool videos. Already saved your instructional ones for when I test--brilliantly put together for new riders such as myself, much appreciated.
(Just noticed you mentioned mid not forward controls but the option to have forward controls so, again... 6'4, gotta go with forward controls then for me.)
Oh and... 15:22... beautiful shot of it.
Love the one Brandon Bicasso riding! Sounds good
Blockhead
Dude I can't to see one of those bikes in your garage. I think the Chief darkhorse would compliment Goldzilla quite well.
Stability control with cornering ABS/cornering TC standard for safety
Indian: "Hey, we heard you like dynas."
Pretty much!
Only after they were discontinued lol
I live about 180 miles from Sedona and really enjoy riding in the back way from Prescott through Jerome and down to Sedona...great road..great ride ! Oh and I'd live to be able to afford a new Indian Chief nice bike !!
How would you compare it to your LRS pre 131kit?
116ci engine and a single front brake? How'd the brakes feel?
This is great , especially your conversation with Her two wheels.
Sedona is beautiful this time of year, the new Indians look damn good
I like to see you on the 111 and hear about the power difference
Rear fender needs to be chopped. I love the apes on the other bike. I did the same on my 2021 Slim and a mustang tripper seat. The high rise back support and forward controls make the ride so much better for me. I love that landscape of the ride 💪
Damn it Blockhead! I just paid off my sportster and now I want one of these. I need to win a small lottery lol.
I really loved the chief dark horse you was riding. I love that smoke blue color. I truly believe the 116 cubic inch engine would be so fun to handle, for a smooth ride.
Love that video! What an opportunity for you all. Thank you for the video and your reviews and thoughts! I’m a Harley gal.... but wow those are nice looking!
Also designed by a professional bike builder.
You bet your ass its gonna be able to be turned into whatever you can imagine.
Also has a lowered-into-frame motor placement to aid in stability and cornering. (Noticed you getting more comfortable flicking it later in the video!)
Indian seems to be miles ahead of Harley on their display. I like it.
I would go after that FTR Rally with that TFT display with ride modes.
Glad you enjoyed it in my AZ back yard! Now that I’m retired from active duty, I ride up there every week!
Okay I am looking at this bike vs the low rider s. I want to build a sport tourer cruiser on these platforms. Which one in your opinion is a better canvas to start?
Looking forward to test riding this in few weeks; thank you for sharing your experience.
I love my 06 Dyna and was debating getting the new softail Dyna but this is taking my fancy a bit 😅
Hey Block... I will take Air-cooled over a rad-cooled bike any day. When you hit the top of those hills.... You're going to be glad you have a warm engine to cuddle up to ...lol. Would have been nice if you'd given us your thoughts on the Bars tho.... Drag bars versus the buck-horns and mini-apes. etc. Anywho ... Stay safe and Ride on.
Great Review and I agree, Indian have a real cruiser contender with the Chief.
Nice job Block! That bike looks awesome and seems to run just as well! Definitely going to be my second bike in the garage! Indian has really stepped up it’s game since launch! The quality on the latest models is outstanding!
It looks like my dream bike is even better than I thought
That's a dang good looking blue color
It would be nice to see a comparison to goldzilla If @IndianMotorcycles is listening you need to send Blockhead a stage 2 chief dark horse for a long term review to compare with goldzilla
I have a highball and rode LA to grand canyon and back. No issues with the wind. These look great though!
I'm going to be checking these myself. I've been riding for 50 years, and I'm on a 2012 Heritage Softail right now. I need to see if the difference is worth the price.
Great review..first of you vids that I've seen and am impressed, hence I have now subscribed.
I love this bike, but I do wish it the center console was analog, not digital.
Pretty cool bikes, that digital display looks really cool
given it's a 45 degree twin, maybe a couple of hours of city stop/start riding would give us an idea of overheat, something that doesn't happen on other designs if oil is kept up to them
Love your videos and I’m a long time subscriber...
But I can’t take any more Tigerblood Jewel music. It’s like motovloggers aren’t allowed to use anything else 😅
It looks nice but it looks like a soft tail with shocks put on it to "look" like a dyna
Yo Blockhead, Jess and you are having way too much fun. You both deserve it I know how much work you put into your videos. Keep the shiny side up
All this bike needs is an exhaust on it for some v twin sound that bike already looks awesome
aircooled bikes never overheat if you keep oil up to them, with exception of 45 deg twin
Looking at get an Indian soon, and while the Chief Dark Horse is above my desired budget, I may send it just for the Rider Command Features and Cruise Control as a more satisfying long term bike.
Don't you need a full fendered version to have a Bobber version?
I still like it.
Especially the instrument cluster that needs to make it's way onto other models in Indians lineup.
I've done some camping there in Sedona its absolutely beautiful i need to go back
That bike in front of you looks and sounds badass bro!!
Green Indian has insane sound. Dark Horse is very quiet xD
This trip looks like an absolute dream
Sat on one at my local I dian dealer when their traveling rep came through, serious contender! Seat was hot garbage for my height though (6'2")
