As a person who has spend money for a 6* Ruby I'd prefer if they'd work on the standard version, buff the older weapons AND fix the powercreep. Ruby is still one of my favorite characters and it's breaking my heart that gameplay wise she's literally useless now. I spend money to support them so they can improve THIS game! Not to start a new one.
Also the idea of a classic version sounds stupid to me. Instead of listening to the players feedback (which are identical from the very beginning=powercreep, no MMO feeling, time gating, overpriced cosmetics etc.) and facing the problems, they're literally throwing everything away and start a new "project". Like wtf!? That's a cheap move only cowards do. To me it seems like they grabbed the money of the old player base, noticed they make less revenue and now they want to get rid of the huge mess they've left behind.
Also if they're really going for a classic version they can 100% say goodbye to the whales. Nobody with a right mind will spend money on an "other version" that already died before. If they drop the standard version, what gives us the guarantee that they won't do it with the classic version aswell?
Having two versions is sooooo dumb, instead of fixing the issues with the original version you go and create a new one, yeah that’s just dumb.

I honestly just wish they would fix standard instead of making the version they should have made to begin with. I'm glad I didn't whale on this but what I did spend could have been money saved, and imagine those that did whale on it.
I haven't played since that boss event a few months back but I was a day one player for a while. Honestly is sad to see them take this route.
They know new players will go to the other version and they hope whales will come there too because of the population. Honestly is a pretty sick tactic.
The only way I really see the reboot server not doing well is if the whales honestly don't spend for a little while.. Ik it's hard but if you truly want the changes on the main global version... Money talks....

I'll only continue playing (and my low dolphin spend) in standard. I'll try classic, but it will absolutely strictly be F2P only.

Here's the logic that I know you have none of it. The players that are still playing which is the veteran, enjoy the game as is, and they are the loyal customer. That's why instead of changing the game system that they already enjoy, they instead make another branch for different people that want different system. Let the veteran still play their game, and let the other that don't like it, try the different system. That is good for the veteran. Only f veteran if they change the current system that they enjoy to something they don't, which is what you're implying lmao. Clueless af.
@@saddany3254 Here is a counter-argument for your way of thinking. You are not wrong with the fact that "It"s made for new Wanderers and people who have quit" since it's actually advertised as that but there is no way that it won't affect the player base of Standard version which is already pretty bad.
Here is a small list problems I think we'll encounter for Standard when the new version:
1. There will be no new players to the Standard version. (Which is fine since Standard absolutely s*cks for new players and I wouldn't recommend the Standard version of ToF to anybody). People would rather start on a new server with more balanced system. -> No new players = declining player base
2. "The veterans enjoy the game as is" -> The Classic version of ToF was created BASED on veterans and other players feedback on what they WANTED to be changed in Standard. I doubt there are a lot of veterans who love the current system we have in Standard. -> More Veterans and people will leave to play the version they actually want
3. Less sentiment to spend on Stadard -> By previous point Hotta basically stated that they have NO intetion to change/fix stuff for Standard version + a lot of people may or may not just play the Classic, that is actually balanced in a way, so they will just spend there (my opinion but for non-whales i think it's difficult to sustain spending more than one gacha game consistantly) -> Less money for Standard = Do they really keep their promise to have the game run for 10 more years? Not sure.
The way Hotta manages ToF makes me feel like we played and spend money on a BETA version of game, that will EOS soon (a small doompost).
I'll try and give Classic ToF a shot, it actually looks like what I wanted from the game, but till then I refer from spending on Standard since it feels like a dead end.

Welp, It's all speculations on my side and my opinions when it comes to the effects for Standard. In the end we'll have to wait and see what Hotta has actually prepared for us.
It's just that I don't have enough of Hopium for the game (The Standard version) anymore as I used to and I think my "doomy" comment reflects that. 😅
This is just my opinion, but as much as I wish they would fix the standard game right now, I'm afraid Hotta Studio (which is a Studio Under Perfect World Company) doesn't have enough guts to do that on the go...
The man power, resource and time needed to fix that will be enormous, to change the current system they have to pretty much have to do a lot of make over, and another problem is the player's data may in danger get deleted in the process if they do it poorly.
Maybe that's why they chose to do the safe route in making the classic server, afraid it will disturb current standard player's process and maybe slooowly fix the issue in Standard server behind the scene hopefully *fingers crossed
There would be many people quitting this game bcs they might have hope the power creep will be addressed bcs of rumors talks
Many people are already frustrated with the game hearing that they not improving this game with major amount of people server is frustrating

agree with other things but i like titan equipment, i am frost main and the rng frost atk i got was lowww but other elements i had crazy atk so with augment i got good frost atk, so titan gears are good.

if they can't transfer our stuff over from standard or even make it where we get the character A6 or outfit for free when they come out if we had it on standard it would be nice if they could at least give us tanium for all the money we spent in standard over the span of all the account life. kinda like what smite is doing with smite 2, which also did a "making a new game with changes rather than just updating the current one"

I find it stupid for having 2 versions, they going to maintained the 2 versions which will provide them more pressure in the future instead concentrating into one, business wise, it's a bad move, I will stay on standard version but I won't spend or invest on certain characters coz it's eventually become useless. Being f2p we also spend if we do really like the characters but if it will become useless later on better stop spending, keep it purely f2p, no worries and stay chill, besides who lose the business. Unless you can transfer your account, characters and progress to the classic version or you can use both without affecting your progress and characters you got that's a different story.

Looks like a big update, but from what i can see, the new map will be the same if i heave the energy on that day i could and i think i will 100% the new map, now there's 2 banners the fire and frost one and the Calendar for the update it only gives 10 pulls for the second character only(the frost one) plus the anniversary.
As for the anniversary the first one and this one feels like nothing, mostly on all games when there's 1 year anni or 1.5, or 2 years they give a lot of free and useful stuff. But from what i can see anniversary things i like every other month nothing special to stand out lets say.
Now this comment is more about the overall 3.6 update not this classic stuff but also at the same time i don't heave a problem with that titan gear.
Overall daily/weekly/monthly content to do we get nothing new so in reality nothing really changes sadly.
I love the idea of Classic and I will for sure swap to it. If it turns out to be well balanced, I won't be returning to Standard. Just fix powercreep and I'm happy.
So Global isn’t doing so well revenue wise so I highly doubt this will end up coming to global
They need to advertise game with new server it’s easier.

This is bad the fact that they are copying what CN is doing instead of just improving the game, the reason why global was global and not a copy of Cn was to even DO what it promised but failed to do. I have invested on the game yes and even invited people in it. They are just becoming a disappointment. Greed after greed. well Karma will get them not by the game closing but in their personal life -.-

I think this is good actually to seperate them cuz the standard can be for the whales who wanna throw their 401k at a game and win yk segregate those weirdos and let normal people with self respect and who want skill to matter go to classic, restarting is annoying yes but lets be honest a lot of people dropped this game very early on

Power creep doesn't really exist in global, triple alt was dead on arrival and nerfed twice even though it was 50% as strong as volt, it still got nerfed, volt is in a bad place overall but at least it's not alt, really power creep is frost domain where a0 ling han unupgraded with no matrices is similar in strength to maxed nan yin with a3 4p.
Nan yin came after ling han btw.

The only asinine here is the comment section.
1. They're not screwing veterans for making different branch of the game. Veterans enjoy the game as is, hence they're still playing. Hence instead of changing the current tof system that they enjoy, they make different branch for the people that don't like the current tof, while still letting the people that enjoy the game still able to play the game. It'd only be stupid if they change the current tof that the loyal customer enjoy, which is what these clueless commenter suggesting.
The players that are currently still playing AND spending, enjoys powercreep, that's why whenever new characters are weak, they doompost them. They don't mind powercreep. If they stop the powercreep, all of those loyal paying customers would quit, and that's stupid. Which is again, what these clueless commenter AND chaos suggesting. You guys live in your own bubble, just because you hate the current system doesn't other people share the same sentiment.
2. Nobody dividing anything. Like I said, people that like current tof, will stay, and the people that have quit, or don't like casual mmo, might try the new tof. It won't divide anything, instead it'd create a new community.
3. They said current tof would be receiving updates and stuff like usual, no one is getting alienated. Yes this is just words for now. That's why just wait and see.
4. If people can share account progress on the new tof, it would make an unfair start for new players which the reason why they make the new tof in the first place, for new players that don't like the current tof duh. New tof = equal starting point for all of them, that's the point.
5. This is completely subjective point. all the weapons work with everything in cn reboot, but yknow what's the consequence of weapon works with anything? There's no real unique synergies between weapons. Remember Saki A1 skill reset rotation? Forget it. Forget about any unique synergies between certain characters, forget about anything about any character synergies. It's either weapon having certain unique synergies with certain weapons (old tof), or weapon that works with everything but have no synergies (reboot). I don't know about you, but I'd pick the former.
I commented under your comment somewhere else but I would like to add something to it since In my response I was more on doomer side of things.
These are just my opinions of someone who doesn't have enough Hopium for the game anymore.
With point 1. I do very much agree that there are people who enjoy powercreep so changing the base game completely after 1.5 years is utter nonsense (since they would lose their big source of money (whales who like powercreep)) thus a new version with new system is the best option they had. It's just Im not sold on the fact there are "enough" of these whale veterans who like powercreep and this kind of system and are willing to spend more money even if there is a chance that the game might feel deadge. Maybe there is and Im just completely wrong on that part.
Point number 2. Yes It's not their intention to divide the community but it at least feels like it. Im sure Classic will create new communities (it's pretty much a new game) but at the same time I do believe that players switching to Classic will make a small dent in Standard communities (again just my opinion).

point number 4. Wholeheartedly agree, sharing progress is big no no.
If Hotta suprises me and Standard version will have enough players and money supply that the game won't "feel" dead. then I'll gladly eat my words in the previous comment I have mentioned. But for now I stand behind my opinions about Classic having a negative impact on Standart's playerbase
My speculations are:
Classic will have more players, bigger community but in the end won't make as much money as Standard.
Standard will be home to few chosen whales who like powercreep and are willing to continue spending.
In the end the players who got the most screwed are people who don't like powercreep but spend some amount of time and money to keep up with other players. They have to decide if they'll play Classic and lose all of their progress, time and money in search for bigger community or play Standard and hope that the game will feel alive and be around for 10 more years😆

@@misiksisik4127 yes there are players that thinking about leaving to new tof, which mean it'd suck players from the OG tof, but here's the psychological factor people aren't aware, if they think about leaving, it means they're not happy with the OG tof, if they're not happy, they're going to quit regardless sooner or later. ToF stated it clearly they wouldn't change the OG tof system as they are many loyal players and spenders enjoy it. So rather then letting those unhappy players leave to another franchise, better off make an effort to make them stay at tof in another way which is why they are *considering* launching new tof for them.
So not only it would not divide player base, because the unhappy would quit og tof regardless, but also it'd grow tof playerbase as a whole. People that are interested in gacha mmo would consider trying og tof, people that are interested in harder mmo would consider new tof, they're still playing the same franchise, the revenue would still goes to the same company, community can make art work of the same characters.
And they stated it clearly the existence of one doesn't affect their attention to another as they have different people working. And in CN so far this is true because the game is running like usual. So there's no reason to arbitrarily speculate they'd shift the attention to the new one. And there's no financial reason to do so since the OG is still the money maker.
And lastly, the people that enjoy or don't mind powercreep aren't just whales and spender. Other F2p, low spender also don't mind. Other people just prefer playing new character, and not playing the same thing over and over again. And when they do, they don't want those new character to be weaker than previous, hence they don't mind powercreep.
The current version has no fix, if it occurred to them to revalance the weapons even without nerfing anything and only increase the power of the others, even then the players who paid would feel scammed to see how a f2p weapon now does the same damage as theirs after spending hundreds of dollars.
