I was so lucky to grow up with this park as one of my home parks. Even after visiting for 10+ years, it’s still always exciting and I never get tired of it. Can’t wait for Wonder Woman
I love this park. It needs to work on the aesthetics a bit (which it has been doing) but the ride line up is elite. Some people complain and say that they pad their coaster count with kiddie coasters. But as a dad I'd argue that I love the fact that my kids have multiple coasters to pick from and they really work you up from the smallest kiddie coaster to the bigger ones and that builds you up so that you are ready to ride Ninja and Goldrusher. Plus, how many parks have 15 coasters even after you remove the kiddie coasters and small family coasters?

I would have Crazanity and Apocalypse higher and Scream lower but agree with most of your rankings. Viper was running so well this summer so I would have that a higher as well. I think what makes SFMM so special is not so much the top 2 but the fact that 3-10 is such a great lineup with only a smaller drop fff 11-15. Most parks have a high drop off in quality after the the top coasters.
I didn't go on Viper, Batman: The Ride or Superman: Escape from Krypton while I was there in 2014 so for now my favorite ride there is Full Throttle followed by The Riddler's Revenge, Apocalypse, Colossus, Scream, Goliath, Tatsu, Ninja, X2, Goldrusher, Jet Stream, Lex Luthor: Drop of Doom, Roaring Rapids, Revolution and Green Lantern: First Flight. This was one of the hardest rankings I've ever done as that's how great their rides are.

I’m about to go to magic mountain this weekend, I’ve been on everything but twisted Colossus and Wonder women. I do have a question, I know X2 is a fan favorite, and my personal favorite roller coaster I’ve been on, but why is twisted colossus more liked? I’ve seen the pov of twisted, but I don’t see what the hype is about. I know I shouldn’t judge a POV video by the coaster experience, but it doesn’t look anything like Steele Vengeance at CP for example to be a favorite over coasters like X2 or Tatsu. I still like x2 better but this is my second favorite coaster here.
I personally think that Justice League at Magic Mountain is actually the worst of the 5 that I’ve done… …when it comes to scoring. As someone who has maxed out multiple Justice League dark rides, I noticed that the one at Magic Mountain is unbelievably hard to get high scores on. I haven’t been on the versions at Great Adventure or Mexico yet, but for now, Magic Mountain is the hardest one I’ve done. I had a hard time breaking 300,000 on this particular Justice League
I definitely did my worst on the Mexico one, but that was because the ride was broken for me. I've never tracked my score on Justice League so I don't know how much harder the one at Great Adventure is in terms of scoring.
@@CanobieCoaster the screens are the same as the one at Over Georgia, and having done that one, I think that the one at Great Adventure will be a bit easier than the one at Magic Mountain, but a lot harder than the rest of them
As a coaster fan I love this park. My son and I recently visited. The ejector on Full Throttle was epic! It really tried to launch me out of the park. The best ride of the day was the final ride on Twisted Colossus where the trains finally ran together.
Tatsu has more than a case for the best in America bc it is undoubtable the best. It has a case for best in the world, flying dinosaur may have a bit more length and modern elements, but Tatsus location makes it the only true flier in the world.
X2 and Twisted Colossus are my favorite two by far. I have been slightly disappointed though that the audio on X2 has been inoperable for my last several rides. From what I’ve heard they didn’t bother to try and fix it during the pandemic shutdown, either. Mind, X2 is a very intense ride no matter what, but the audio and the flamethrower effects when they’re working is the cherry on top. Also a flat ride I would add as an honorable mention is Wonder Woman Lasso of Truth; the park’s Round Up ride. I have always found it to be a fairly intense and fun Round Up. It lets you spin flat for a while before tilting upward and the ride is usually fairly long, too. It will be interesting to see what they re-theme this ride to when the new raptor coaster opens. I can’t imagine they will have two Wonder Woman themed rides.
Magic Mountain has done a much better job at taking care of the park post covid, but they are still lacking in most regards. I have gone 25+ times since the park reopened while riding X2 every time I went if it wasn't closed and I only experienced the fire ONCE while the audio has never been on. In fact, the only reason the fire was on was because they had left over fuel from their celebrity even the day prior. They need to treat X2 much better than they do. The staff working there are god awful as they close the ride early some nights or are just plain rude compared to other rides. I really hope they beautify and fix X2 and its surrounding area once they do something with Viper.
Fire and Audio got fixed 3 months ago and been working great since. They also toned down Goliaths MCBR drastically in the last month, it flew through the MCBR barely slowed down last week when I rode it and the double helix was ridiculous. Superman also reached the top trims.
Imagine enthusiast boys going to Riddler's Revenge, the Bolliger & Mabillard stand up coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain, and taking the ride in an incorrect position...
People hate the break run on Goliath but if you sit in the front left seat it will feel like the train is trying to dump you off the coaster coming off the break run
I went to magic mountain for the first time in June and I’ve been there 3 times since then and my favorite rides are twisted colossus, x2, full throttle, Superman, and scream !!!!! I wish I could say tatsu too but I haven’t gotten a chance to go on it yet
As always good job on the video! My favorites are X2 and Tatsu. Need to get back here because the last time I went was in 2015 and I only got one ride on Twisted Colossus so I don't have a solid opinion on it.
It took me a few return trips to finally get enough rides on Twisted Colossus. My first visit took place on a day when RMC had a part recall, so the ride closed immediately after I took my first ride. On my second visit, the ride almost didn't open due to mechanical issues and by the time it opened in the late afternoon, the park was busy. I made sure to reride it a ton my last few trips to make up.
Magic Mountain has a lot of stops and starts. the mcbr’s on Viper and Goliath, the double lift hill on tc, the duel launches onnWCR, the stop in the tunnel on Full Throttle. am i forgetting any?
At Six Flags Magic Mountain, if you go again to ride all roller coasters, how do you ride Batman the Ride, Scream, Viper, Riddler's Revenge, X2, and Tatsu?
What would you think about Riddler's Revenge, the Bolliger & Mabillard stand up coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain, in an incorrect position, and/or in your position?
my top 5 at magic mountain are 1. Twisted colossus 2. X2 3. West Coaster Racers 4. Tatsu 5. Goliath then goes on w/ batman, full throttle and etc. like 6,7,8
Hot takes on SFMM: 1. Viper is hot garbage. That coaster destroyed my head. It also destroyed my brother’s friend’s head and her back. Worst coaster in the park, and it is a little overrated. 2. Goliath is underappreciated. The problem I have with most coaster enthusiasts opinions is that they focus on airtime only. While airtime is my favorite element on a coaster, it’s definitely the most overrated. I personally prefer a coaster that does more than airtime. Anyways, Goliath is an intense, smooth-speed machine. 3. Okay, maybe I rode it on a bad day, but X2 is a bit rough, and I don’t think it cracks my top in the park. Again, maybe I rode it on a bad day, but it was pretty good overall, and it’s CRAZY intense. Other than the roughness, it also hurt my back on the final raven turn.
I don't disagree X2 is bouncy. I ride on the inside to mitigate that. Viper doesn't bother me since my ears clear the top of the OTSR, but it would be an issue if I were shorter.
For me Ninja is definitely ahead of viper.. it's not even close IMO. Never even come close to greying out on Viper.. you gray out a lot man. The only coaster I have ever greyed out on, ever, is the second half of Goliath for a split second. I have banged my head seriously hard on Scream! No jokes! Goliath would be the last coaster in the park for me. For once, I completely disagree with your outer half of ranking. Interesting! Still appreciate your opinions and gave you a thumbs up, of course. Edit - I am sure I would grey out on I305 though.. will ride that in 2023 for sure, finally. Already planning my trip!
@@CanobieCoaster Try closing your mouth and keeping it closed just on the coasters you grey out on. It works. There IS a spot on Superman in Australia where I do for a split second also after the launch, it's sort of like the beginnings of a grey out i.e. some dark spots in my eyes, just a couple, but yeah, I forgot about that one. For some reason none of the other xcellerators bother me, even um, xcellerator, which has a faster and more powerful launch than Superman.
@@CanobieCoaster Should have mentioned this in the video came here to ask this lol. I've rode 3 B&M standups and every time i get a cramp type pain behind my knees...guess i'll be watching that video next!
Magic mountain looks great but they could definitely do some good by easing up on the roller coasters now that they have 20 and focus more on family rides attractions more thrilling flight rides and possibly dark rides too
Exactly Both THAT, and also concentrate on the asthetics of the park. I keep on saying, that the MOST missed opportunity is that Magic Mountain doesn't have a top tier railroad system that traverse the entire circle of the park....totally lacking in cross park transportation that it sorely needs, given how large that park is!!!
My opinion list of coasters rankings at this park would be: 01 Twisted Colossus 02 X2 03 Wonder Woman Flight of Courage 04 Tatsu 05 West Coast Racers 06 Full Throttle 07 Batman The Ride 08 Apocalypse 09 Goliath 10 Riddler Revenge 11 Scream 12 Viper 13 New Revolution 14 Superman Escape From Krypton 15 Ninja 16 Gold Rusher 17 Road Runner Express 18 Canyon Blaster 19 Speedy Gonzales Hot Rod Racers 20 Magic Flyer
Six Flags Magic Mountain is a year-round park, so they usually have at least one coaster down for maintenance. Unfortunately, they don't post their refurb schedule in advance so it's hard to tell.
#13? This is Viper erasure! It's my number 3 at the park (granted I didn't get to ride Tatsu). I get why people don't like it but it's consistently underrated, in my opinion.
definately a case for that, cedar point and magic mountain can definately go either way, even though 90% of people will choose cedar point, but I can definately see people going with magic mountain.
Love this park. We live about 3 hours north of MM , so we try to make it as often as possible. One suggestion: Eat before you go to the park . Magic Mountain has THE WORST FOOD EVER! EVERY single restaurant, stand, etc. Is DISGUSTING . The only food they can be trusted , is the pre packaged, name brand candy. We had passes for 2019, and tried every place that served "food". All BAD. The rides are top notch 👌 though.
What my family did for many years is go early to get a parking spot near the lil park in the parking lot near twisted colossus and take a grill. Get out the park around 1 or 2 when we would get hungry make some bbq then head back after 1 hr. Many people do that now so it might be hard to find a table or even parking spots
For me its: 1. Twisted Colossus 2. Batman the Ride 3. West Coast Racers 4. X2 5. Full Throttle 6. Apocolypse 7. Scream 8. Viper 9. Riddler 10. Goliath (Tatsu was down when I went)
Apocalypse is a severely underrated ride at the park. Riding that thing at night once the track has warmed up is such a blast that gives me insane air time that honestly launches me higher than my rides on twisted. The shaking, insane relative speeds (moving fast with objects near you), sharp turns, and insane air time make this ride a go to for me. One tip to maximize your experience on this ride is to go later in the day (preferably at night), keep the buckel loose enough, scooch up the on the seat as the restraints fall then proceed to scoot back into your seat while pushing the restraint forward during the WHOLE ride. Do not let your restraint fall back and lock as you will loose your airtime. You will not be dissapointed and Apocolpylse will definitely shoot up your ranking after a ride using my tip.
Obviously this is subjective but before Steel Vengeance I would argue that SFMM had the overall better coaster collection. Here's my reasoning. There are certainly examples of Cedar Point beating SFMM in comparable coasters (such as TTD vs SMEFK, Magnum vs Goliath...etc.) But in the middle range I think it gets more interesting. For example, I don't think that Raptor is necessarily better than Batman. I just think people can't bring themselves to consider a cloned coaster to be as desirable as a unique coaster. And The other B&Ms are generally on par with each other. I personally would put Tatsu above even Maverick but that's my preference. And the Arrow collection at SFMM I think is clearly better than the collection at Cedar Point. And SFMM obviously has the better drop tower and pendulum ride if you are looking outside the coasters. Where Cedar Point has the undeniable advantage is their Intamin collection. It's better now and better than anything that the company ever made for SFMM. And I'd argue that TC and X2 are both better than any coaster at Cedar Point before Steel Vengeance was built. That said, Steel Vengeance was built and that thing just dominates. I love TC but it can't be compared to Steel Vengeance. It alone puts Cedar Point's coaster collection ahead. And when you look beyond the coasters then Cedar Point is clearly the superior park overall.
@@zacg_ SFMM is my home park and I've been going there since 1974. I think your write up on both CP and MM is right on, even though I have never been to CP. I've always said it was a close race between the coasters at each park until CP turned one of their worst coasters into arguably the best coaster in the world. From what I have seen CP is by far the best Roller Coaster park in the world. If MM does not install a GIga Airtime Machine one of this days they are going top start losing to a lot of parks, a few parks can argue that point now.
It's funny how Sfmm is the Barry Bonds of theme parks. The behemoth park is huge, and really has no competition for the top spot. Yet people love to dog it. Whereas CP is like the Derek Jeter of theme parks, very good, but no matter what their fans eat them up. CP could put a pile of dog 💩 on the midway amd you'd still see fans applaud it. Heck, if West Coast Racers, Full Th, Twisted, etc were in CP their fan boys would call them one of the best coasters in the world.
I saw a video of worst roller coasters from another RUclips coaster expert that included Goliath at Six Flags Magic Mountain. Was that the most hated Goliath coaster by world enthusiasts? What do you think? A) Yes B) No, Walibi Holland C) No, Six Flags Over Georgia D) No, La Ronde E) No, Six Flags Fiesta Texas F) No, Six Flags New England G) No, Six Flags Great America

On my second visit, the ride almost didn't open due to mechanical issues and by the time it opened in the late afternoon, the park was busy. I made sure to reride it a ton my last few trips to make up.
I have twisted Colossus at 3 behind X2 and Tatsu. If TC dueled more often I'd have it at 2 pushing at X2 for the 1 spot.
Dueling doesn't change Twisted Colossus's placement much for me.
Colossus (With The Double Down) Is My Favorite Defunct Wooden Credut
I rode that ride once backwards and it was fine.
Best Coaster Park in the World. I love Magic Mountain
I prefer Cedar Point for coasters and maybe Hershey, but that's it.
Magic Mountain has a lot of stops and starts. the mcbr’s on Viper and Goliath, the double lift hill on tc, the duel launches onnWCR, the stop in the tunnel on Full Throttle. am i forgetting any?
Ninja's final lift hill if you count that. And the multiple lifts on Gold Rusher.
@@CanobieCoaster oh yeah duh i forgot gold rusher. i consider the ninja lift hill at the end to be like an extended break run lmao
At Six Flags Magic Mountain, if you go again to ride all roller coasters, how do you ride Batman the Ride, Scream, Viper, Riddler's Revenge, X2, and Tatsu?
I wait in line and get on the trains.
What would you think about Riddler's Revenge, the Bolliger & Mabillard stand up coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain, in an incorrect position, and/or in your position?
I like the ride based on how I ride it.
my top 5 at magic mountain are
1. Twisted colossus
2. X2
3. West Coaster Racers
4. Tatsu
5. Goliath
then goes on w/ batman, full throttle and etc. like 6,7,8
Nice!
Hot takes on SFMM:
1. Viper is hot garbage. That coaster destroyed my head. It also destroyed my brother’s friend’s head and her back. Worst coaster in the park, and it is a little overrated.
2. Goliath is underappreciated. The problem
I have with most coaster enthusiasts opinions is that they focus on airtime only.
@@CanobieCoaster What about Goliath?
I know I greyout a lot.
For some reason none of the other xcellerators bother me, even um, xcellerator, which has a faster and more powerful launch than Superman.
i miss my old home park :(
It seems like a great home park.
My best rides are
Twisted colossus
Full throttle
Batman
Superman
Viper
Been there 5 times
You have the same number one.
At Six Flags Magic Mountain, how do you ride, Batman the Ride, Scream, and Riddler's Revenge?
The only ride I have to board special is Riddler's Revenge. I use my stand-up technique.
You should make review videos about Batman the Ride and Justice League, rides at many Six Flags parks.
I may in the future.
I would of gotten to this park last year but you know what happened. I’m hoping I’ll get here soon, especially for the opening of the new raptor.
Try to visit on an off-peak weekday to maximize your rides if possible.
1 X2
2 Tatsu
3 Twisted Coulssus
4 Lex Luther
5 Crazinty
All 5 of those are worth the flight and hotel
I have the same top 3, just in a different order.
Viper was definitely the most hated ride due to uncomfortable things going while riding it
I've never had an issue with it since my ears clear the top of the restraint.
@@CanobieCoaster your head hits the side of the chest locking systems so much, ever since I went on this ride I’ve always tried to avoid it
6:58 Could you explain how you do this? After riding this in the front row it felt like i got neutered
I made a video called "How to Ride B&M Stand-Ups" that explains the technique.
@@CanobieCoaster Should have mentioned this in the video came here to ask this lol. I've rode 3 B&M standups and every time i get a cramp type pain behind my knees...guess i'll be watching that video next!
I’m gonna make my own hippie themed theme park one of these days
That would be interesting.
@@CanobieCoaster maybe not
Magic mountain looks great but they could definitely do some good by easing up on the roller coasters now that they have 20 and focus more on family rides attractions more thrilling flight rides and possibly dark rides too
They have been doing a good job with recent additions sprucing up the park.
JRax 17 they should have a big indoor roller coaster for all that summer heat and also a big indor water ride like Valhalla
Exactly
Both THAT, and also concentrate on the asthetics of the park.
I keep on saying, that the MOST missed opportunity is that Magic Mountain doesn't have a top tier railroad system that traverse the entire circle of the park....totally lacking in cross park transportation that it sorely needs, given how large that park is!!!
Did you like Tatsu more than Manta at Seaworld Orlando?
Yes, slightly.
My opinion list of coasters rankings at this park would be:
01 Twisted Colossus
02 X2
03 Wonder Woman Flight of Courage
04 Tatsu
05 West Coast Racers
06 Full Throttle
07 Batman The Ride
08 Apocalypse
09 Goliath
10 Riddler Revenge
11 Scream
12 Viper
13 New Revolution
14 Superman Escape From Krypton
15 Ninja
16 Gold Rusher
17 Road Runner Express
18 Canyon Blaster
19 Speedy Gonzales Hot Rod Racers
20 Magic Flyer
Nice list!
What do you usually like more in the world, roller coasters devoid of any laterals (no laterals), or roller coasters with laterals?
I like most coaster forces.
At Six Flags Magic Mountain, what do you think about Gold Rusher, New Revolution, Ninja, Goliath, and Riddler's Revenge?
I would ride any of those again.
IM GOING THERE THIS SUMMER.
Have fun!
I Have Contacted 6 Flags Several Times & They Refuse To Answer. Can Some 1 Help?? Thanks. Are ALL Roller Coasters Open From 12-26 until New Yrs Day??
Six Flags Magic Mountain is a year-round park, so they usually have at least one coaster down for maintenance. Unfortunately, they don't post their refurb schedule in advance so it's hard to tell.
viper > scream anyday
I used to prefer Viper, but I've learned to really like Bizarro/Scream in the back row.
Goodbye deadline and hello online
Which deadline?
Tatsu is the best ride i have ever been on.
It's really cool and forceful.
Can I ride all the rides at six flags magic Mountain while I wear smash bros?
A Smash Bros. shirt?
Why Do People Hate On Scream For Being In A Parking Lot Medusa (SFDk) And Twisted Colossus Are Technically Parking Lot Coasters....
I think it's because you can clearly see the spaces on Scream beneath the track.
#13? This is Viper erasure! It's my number 3 at the park (granted I didn't get to ride Tatsu). I get why people don't like it but it's consistently underrated, in my opinion.
I like Viper. I just prefer the rides ahead of it.
@@CanobieCoaster Lol dont you just hate when people don’t understand what subjectivity and opinions are😂

best coaster lineup itw imo
definately a case for that, cedar point and magic mountain can definately go either way, even though 90% of people will choose cedar point, but I can definately see people going with magic mountain.
This and Cedar Point are 1 and 2 in that category.
No Hay Banda its in the top 5
The classic revolution is the best ride at magic mountain.
I prefer some newer ones.
Well I have to say is that Six Flags imagine months in is the best theme park in the world
I love this park.

What would you rate Riddler's Revenge? Why?
It's good. Nice and forceful.
Who loves Superman ride because I do
Fun fact: it’s The first roller coaster in the world to go 100 mph
It's a fun one.
At Six Flags Magic Mountain, what would you rate Apocalypse, Riddler's Revenge, and Tatsu?
See my reviews.
What would you rate New Revolution? Why?
It's decent. Like the loop and setting, but the pacing has some lags.
What would you rate Gold Rusher? Why?
It's ok. Scenic but not too wild.
What would you rate Jet Stream, Goliath, Batman the Ride, and X2?
I talk about them in this video.
Rip Chicago
1996-2020
Phoenix perfect
2020-2021
What are you referring to?
With the name "Goliath", what do you think about Goliath at Six Flags Magic Mountain and Goliath at Six Flags Over Georgia?
I like the name.
Of all roller coasters at Six Flags Magic Mountain, how do you ride all of them?
I get in line and board them.
viper needs to go, it broke my earring and made my ear bleed. It is too rough, i love coasters but this one isn't fun just painful.
I've always heard to remove earrings on rides with over-the-shoulder restraints.
What would you rate Jet Stream? Why?
Solid flume. Like the drop at the end.
I have a meal plan, so I usually eat there. The food isn't the greatest, but I pay so little annually for it.
What my family did for many years is go early to get a parking spot near the lil park in the parking lot near twisted colossus and take a grill. Get out the park around 1 or 2 when we would get hungry make some bbq then head back after 1 hr. Many people do that now so it might be hard to find a table or even parking spots
@@slug2ss83 what we save on food, we use valet parking. We can't bar b que or picnic , but, we get out of the park quickly and easily 😎👍
The food is not that bad. But pricey.
where would you slide in jersey devil if you had to?
3 if I'm in the back row.

Viper. All day, every day.
A hot take!
Would you like to go again to Six Flags Magic Mountain?
Absolutely
For me its:
1. Twisted Colossus
2. Batman the Ride
3. West Coast Racers
4. X2
5. Full Throttle
6. Apocolypse
7. Scream
8. Viper
9. Riddler
10. Goliath
(Tatsu was down when I went)
That's a bummer Tatsu was down. I'm guessing it was this past summer?
batman over X2 ?
I imagine those are peak conditions to ride Apocalypse, but I always finish my day there with either Twisted Colossus or X2.
What would you rate Batman the Ride? Why?
It's good. Smooth and forceful.
What do you prefer, Goliath at Six Flags Magic Mountain or Goliath at Six Flags Over Georgia? And why?
Over Georgia since it's airtime based.
Wich park has more coasters, Cedar Point or Six Flags Magic Mountain ?
Magic mountainhas 19 (number 20 under construction). Cedar point has 17 coasters
Magic Mountain
Magic Mountain has more but most people agree that Cedar Point has more world class coasters than Magic Mountain
This was JUST ME & The EX Wife......Back in the DAY!!! People Exaggerate......
Sorry?
It's funny how Sfmm is the Barry Bonds of theme parks. The behemoth park is huge, and really has no competition for the top spot. Yet people love to dog it. Whereas CP is like the Derek Jeter of theme parks, very good, but no matter what their fans eat them up. CP could put a pile of dog 💩 on the midway amd you'd still see fans applaud it.
Heck, if West Coast Racers, Full Th, Twisted, etc were in CP their fan boys would call them one of the best coasters in the world.
I prefer Cedar Point myself. Better overall experience.
Really wish I would had gotten on west coast racers. I got as far as sitting down when it broke down 🤣🤣🤣👎
