    Neatly reviewed Prathik. I loved it. But you didnt complete what you gonna say when compared with a Ninja 300. I was keenly looking for it and you got distracted with the ABS :D

      Ali, Both bikes gives almost same mileage. But N300 is more fun man. And when you swing your leg over any of these two, we never think of mileage. You will twist your throttle again again and again. Fun fun fun :D

    I dont get why its controversial? Its a small-medium bike for the city and some short highway, here in mexico city serves me very well Its very small so i can get in the middle of the traffic and has very speedy response to overtake maybe too much because in a matter of seconds you can get to 120km/h and then you have to stop the thing in a very short distance with out ABS (here in MX we dont get the ABS version). Its also very very light and with a slipon the sound get better. The sit position is very comfortable. For street riding is the perfect sports bike for everyday for the highway you maybe short in CC u can stay in the 100-160kmh range but above that the bike will be forced a lot if you keep that speed for a long period.

    killer review bro, and yeah disappointment in the abs, would be nice if they offered it as a option and ninja 300 is a good 50-60k more exp than the r3. And finally someone whos made a fair comparison with the rc390, kudos .

    Thank you for the video! Definetly i'm going to buy one (saving money), the road conditions in India are practically the same as here in Colombia, and the R3 handles very well as you show in the video. I was a liltte worried about low end torque but climbing that hill with a passenger erases all my doubts. It's the perfect bike for my needs, the best bike in 300 class by far.

    regarding tyres, why the MRF Zapper acts like this? sometimes it gives a good grip sometimes slips, I really don't get it.

    • @TheEverydayIndia

      These tyres are same as on the R15. It's perfect for that but not for something more powerful.

      N N ride below 6k rpm and you'll get 25-27 around. Have some fun , high revs you get like around 20 or below that.
      Personally I'd go for the Ninja 300

    One thing that frustrates me about the R3 in the city is the lack of grunt down low in typical city conditions and thus increased fuel consumption. The R3 is an awkward combination of a city bike that has an engine ideal for track.

    • @Shubham.Kochhar
      @Shubham.Kochhar 8 лет назад +1

      I agree, they should have made it like d R15.. then it would be called true R series bike, just like d R1, R6, R15, R125..
      with Deltabox chassis, front inclined riding posture, stiffer suspension, longer aluminum swingarm nd definately better tyres (radial ones) (even R15 has radial rear tyre)

    • @siran424
      @siran424 8 лет назад +2

      +Shubham Kochhar No. We actually need some good looking faired bikes that are good in city traffic and for daily commutes. So far only naked bikes and tourers serve that purpose.
      Just change the name from R3 to something else, if you have a problem with it being called the R series.

I have one question to you, you highlighted many things in the video and even compared with your 390 to some features, do you thing R3 is worth buying I mean from the price point? And if you could review, can you review TNT 300 if possible any time and compare the experience with R3 you had? Cheers mate! I have to subscribe to your channel. Have fun Vlogging man

    But now in 2018 I think it is a perfect bike because of addition of ABS and BS iv compliance. Please do a review on that.

    Finally some peace and quiet from the Yamaha fan boys. The recent issues with the motorcycle have shut em up pretty good.
    Man! The hype they made after hearing that Yamaha was launching the R3 and now seeing them eat their words, its just hilarious.
    EDIT: There's a lot of weight on the front of the RC? Umm..no offense but do you even bike? The RC was the easiest bike to shift weight, next to a bicycle. Perhaps you had a low tyre pressure up front?

      Issues ?? There are no issues. It is a highly reliable bike unlike the KTm's who often vibrate, breakdown and feel like made of plastic.

      Siran424 Why don't you look up about the recent worldwide recall of the R3. Engine oil pump failure, clutch pressure plate failure, brake failure. IMO, thats a *TOTAL FAILURE*.
      *"... feel like made of plastic."*
      Not sure if thats a complement because the bike does feel soo light and nimble.
      But if thats not what you meant then I should perhaps point out to you that these are "BUDGET" bikes and at least KTM have got the design right. Aggressive and sharp. The R3 looks like a copy of the RS200 (not that I've got any complaints about it but for that price it'd be better to buy the CS or SS 400 which is on par with the performance of the R3 and much much cheaper!) and a Ducati899(front head light portion only)
      And at least none of that (recalls) has ever happened to ANY of the recent Indian motorcycles(200NS and so on)
      About vibrations;
      You mean to say that the R3 doesn't vibrate one bit???
      Thats one heck of an overstatement to say the least but you should probably go to one of the local dealers and get a test ride. The thing vibrates just as much as the KTM, BUT, its subtle. Just like the KTM.
      You jumped on the "thumper = vibrating + unreliable engine" bandwagon. For a single cylinder the KTM produces shockingly low vibrations. And if you cant' manage these vibrations then perhaps you should get an inline 4 engine motorcycle or not ride at all.

      +Kevin Arnold Sorry for the late response.
      But yes I have got an inline 3 engine bike. But I am looking to buy the R3 for city commutes.
      None of the bikes you mentioned like the CS 400 come anywhere close to the R3 in terms of performance.
      Besides the build quality of the R3 is the best in it's segment. And it is also the second lightest bike in it's segment without feeling like it is made of cheap plastic.
      As for as vibration, KTM vibrates a lot more than the Yamaha. After 150 KTM's feel like it's engine might blow up.
      P. S: Money isn't a factor for me. And Yamaha is the best there is.
      Eagerly waiting for the R6.

      +Kevin Arnold Also the R3 doesn't heat up like the RC 390 or the Hyosung in the city traffic at low speeds.

    • @Kevin-yh8ol
      @Kevin-yh8ol 8 лет назад

      Siran424 you sure? Cuz the last time I checked, the RC had no such issues. Further more, the R3 has two cylinders which means more moving parts which means more heat

      rohit satish thats tough to select from these two bikes maybe r3 is a better option because the motor is smooth in both conditions low revs and high revs its designed that (r3) it would keep you happy whether you want to ride fast or just cruise thats how Yamaha built the bike for this purpose so that you can choose the way you want to ride and the bike may behave just the way you want it to
