I would stick a fitness tracker beneath the bike and connect it to my device via Bluetooth (If the bike parking is nearby the house). So whenever the bike (fitness tracker) is out of Bluetooth range it will give a notification on the phone instantly. Don't know of others but my phone's BT range is about 7-10 meters approximately :)
very informative, many bikes are getting stolen... you've mentioned nakeds are easier to steal than faired bikes. I think a GPS system must be developed for two wheelers.
i just checked there site(MAPMYINDIA) & they have some kind of GPS system for bikes too. No idea about the price

I am like gonna be 16 still I drive a scooty around my area and I am really shocked to see that people don't know that they have to stop before zebra crossing, even the traffic police.I follow the rule and I feel like a real rider. My famliy owns a KTM Duke 200 with an Alarm installed on it. Its very much required here in Mumbai. It sometimes rings "WAO WAO" unnecessarily but to my case on KTM, it doesn't drain the battery. So there's a sense of satisfaction that the Bike has a Warning System which works always.

Easy solution is having a Quality Disc lock with or without alarms.

Alarms are a good safety feature but they can be annoying as well. Have one in my r15 (made by some company called Xenos) .It goes off every time anyone touches the bike (kids love doing that). Secondly they drain the battery. Thirdly and the most annoying feature is that the remote has a button which, when pressed (inadvertently), triggers the self start and if your bike is parked in gear, it will start on its own and will fall down . I have damaged mine a lot of times because of this shitty feature. Consequently, i have to make sure i leave it in neutral every time. But they do protect your bike against theft.

A motorcycle alarm system is impractical here in India, especially if it's a nice bike like the RC390. People don't respect boundaries and are bound to either touch or even sit on your bike if it's parked in the open, even if they do not have any malicious intentions.

Insurance is ok for the loss but the struggles you have to do For FIR, RC particular, then going court for Final Report, it's too hectic, minimum 3-4 days wasted + 1500 tak ki rishwat aur agents ka kharcha
Do whatever you want to do to secure your bike, either it's a low cost bike, scooty whatever, mine Apache 180 my heart got stolen lol, but still without bike for 4 months.
the locks are very easy to be broken i broke one by mistake :p ... save your bike ... park it on a gud spot ... bhai sahi hua atleast abb insurnce karvaoge

It is actually very easy to start a general naked motorcycle without the key.. Once i unlocked my bike's handlebar and the key broke and i was stuck in the middle of no where... i just unplugged the electrical switch found under the headlight cosole which killed the electricals of the bike (speedo, indicators, horn, self start, lights). Then i just kick-started my bike and went off. Although i relieved that i could do it but somewhere i was a little worried too as this is so easy and anybody can do it to steal your bike.
but 200CCs and above don't have kick starts
+Yash Sharma Actually i guess you forgot the Bullet range...they do have kick-starters ...but anyways other bikes which don't have a kick starter....all you need is to put it into the first gear and then do a dhakka-start.. Done

When my insurance lapse I get afraid to take my bike out. Last month I beard one week without insurance... Now after watching this video I will not bear it for a single day as well once lapse renew it on same day....

My brother's FZS got stolen in Connaught Place, New Delhi. Got the cctv footage but still the police couldn't find the 2 thieves. Broke the disc lock, chainlock and also handle , got away within 1 min . :'(

Don think trackers will be very effective too, because these guys seem to have technical knowledge about the bikes and might be mechanics or something, as they know what are the exact wires to cut to start engine, and exact handles to push.... They can easily disable trackers too
best way to stop thieves just put a fake egg with sindhoor tika over it and put any god photo with flowers and most important two to three lemons cut and again sindhoor over it. after this even you just leave the keys on ignition nobody will dare to touch obvious reason is scene of that bike seat will scare the shit out of anybody.

On a serious note, there are these things called disc locks also available which basically locks onto the holes in your disc rotor and stops the wheel from moving. There are also versions of that available with a alarm which rings at like 110dB (which quite close to the pain threshold of 120dB)
less expensive too.
+Odisha Rider Yes but GPS will give you the peace of mind knowing where your bike is. thieves in India aren't that tech-savvy yet. Disc lock will only prevent its wheels from moving. People can still load it into their mini trucks and drive off.

3 days ago my neighbour's bike (Pulsar 150) was stolen. we all r very shocked. both my gixxer sf (blue edition) & his pulsar 150 standing alongside. but the thief took his bike. may be due to its easy to steel. my neighbour is very upset & now bought a 2nd hand pulsar 150. 😯😯

they are good for edm or songs with a lot of bass but if you want to hear old classical songs with no bass you won't have much fun.
I want bass... I was going to go for these headphones but instead bought seheiser 275s so I wanted to know if I made a wrong choice.

Bottom most light is green. That's the one for the direction he was going in. I think the red light on top is actually the timer.
