Have you guys never seen recurring SNL sketches? This literally describes all recurring SNL sketches ever. When it's a really good basis, the subsequent ones succeed, and sometimes even become better than the original. When it's not a good basis, it gets old and tired quick. In this case, the original was amazing, and this one succeeds at being a sequel just as well as any other recurring sketch.

I feel like there is a backstory to Lisa from Temecula - because what is Temecula - but that is part of the charm of this over-the-top bit! Ego never dissappoints and this character is so far flung yet somehow very familiar and even relatable! That just shows the depth of her talent! Bravo everyone! I re-watched Lisa from Temecula w/Pedro Pascal a dozen times. Showed friends and family. It was lightning in a bottle. I don’t mind the near copy/paste dialogue, but the Sight gag barely works. They needed a killer follow-up prop design to the original. Once all the salad is on the table after 5 seconds, the gag falls apart.
I love how Lisa goes "I ain't gotta tell you what happened next" when the story is never self-explanatory.
