Dionne can harmonize with anyone and improve upon any song she deems worthy.
The harmonization is superb in this special version of a combined "Sailing" bookending "Arthur's Theme," with a special meld at the end between Dionne Warwick and Christopher Cross.
The date shows January 31, 1986. That was a Friday and I was curious if "Solid Gold" ever aired on Fridays in any American television markets. I recall that it was pouring rain in the Los Angeles region that day.
Thank goodness that Christopher Cross has recovered from his recent publicized bout with COVID-19. He went through a rough experience and I am glad to know that he is on the mend.
I thought he was sexy when I was ten, and I still think he's sexy! 😻

Wonderful performance! Very good!
Absolutely gorgeous. I was very moved. Thanks for posting these, I really appreciate them. What a time capsule.
I keep coming back to these clips, so wonderful! Christopher doesn’t seem entirely comfortable, probably wasn’t fully his scene, but Dionne is so embracingly accommodating (one can see it in her eyes), and so is the arrangement!
