It's important to note that the Osmose is unique in implementing timbre ("brightness" as Dune calls it) as a second layer of poly AT. This is not the case with other MPE controllers. The Linnstrument and Roli controllers implement timbre using an up and down slide, such that brightness and pressure are independently and simultaneously controllable across their full range.
While you are here.. What might be cool is a plugin that implements the back end of your synths as an effect unit. Your filters and effects are top notch. I'd love to be able to use them standalone.
Excellent. I must try this with my Sensel Morph. I'm sure it will sound phenomenal. One thing that might be nice is some kind of way to dampen the expressions so when you let go it doesn't immediately jump off. I can probably implement it in a Note FX in Bitwig, but it would be nice in the synth. Anyway, it is fantastic either way. Have a great Christmas! 🎄🎁💫
Hello Synapse, i wanted to ask is there any chance we will get a modulation indication on a parameter's knob, as a running dot or a glowing curved line around that knob, when in a modulation source window and overall? Or just some visual that would show that the modulation is assigned to the knob? That would help so much. Thanks! Appreciate you guys
Nice review, thank you. Is it possible to get more clear how to interact with Roli Seaboard? In comparison with Equator or Plasmonic for instance. Brightness is 1 parameter of 5. What about others? To clarify the question - which parameters within mod matrix in Dune coincide with those in Roli - for example Release? Nothing in manual except Brightness which is equal to Slide, as I can see. ATouch = Pressure, Velocity = Strike (or not?) and nothing for Release, which I can use in Bitwig with the help of Expressions modulator (Rel) luckily. But is it the one in matrix?
Looks and sounds really awesome! When I last checked it didn't have MPE support awesome you guys add stuff like that... I'm looking into buying Dune now and was wondering if you had any plans on adding midi export (so you could just drag the midi from the arp panel into your DAW) and midi out so you could control other instruments with the sequencer?
I love the arps in Dune 3, however I can't seem to figure out if and how I can change the sequence. Some of those seem to playback midi sequences, is there a way to make your own? Instead of just holding a key down and hearing the predefined sequences being played back?
I get the layering idea but... if u need to eq the layers and all that in one synth, u need also FC section for layer, otherwise what u gonna do with these layers all? If u cant Eq and tweak seperatly? I mean( FX bus ) But this for each voice wich u have 8 of them in Dune
Demis, you keep getting better at this👍
Dune keeps getting better too 😎

wow, that’s a lovely idea indeed!

Using sample and hold as a modifier will keep your current MPE expression at the value where it was last triggered. It can be done in bitwig for sure.
Please please do an MPE optimized soundset!
Wow! Very Cool new Feature! =D Dune 3.6 is Awesome! =)

Very cool.. Which version of Cubase you running? I'm on 12 and my instrument panel looks nothing like yours...
There is different Cubase editions (Elements, Artist, Pro etc) which have different functionality in some places. Cubase Pro has the most features.

And one other question: is it possible to step record notes into the sequencer?
Sorry one last question lol is it possible to lock the arpeggiator to different scales? Like how you can in Pigments or the Waldorf Iridium?
Hello. Nice update. Please make macro controllers, they are in short supply!

Click on "Preset", then "Load MIDI file..." to import your own sequences.
sounds great!
