Impressive gun and very popular in our country..very reliable and the design was superb..its a good protection gun with excellent reliability..i never regretted i bought this gun
You are so right about the importance of how the trigger feels vs the pull weight. A pistol trigger may have a 6 lbs pull weight and be glossy smooth, easy to pull and shoot with accuracy, while other pistol trigger may be just 4 lbs and feel gritty, creepy, and an unpleasant pull, negatively affecting accuracy. It is about how detailed polished the trigger action is, not about what the trigger pull weight is. Most gun owners don't know that, and so they focus on how much is the trigger pull weight, when in reality is more important: how smooth the trigger feels and is. Great review, bud! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 HOAH!
Just purchased one of these for $400 in Canada - first firearm I've bought. From all the reviews it seems like a great entry-level pistol. Mine came with two mags and all the cleaning accessories that your case was missing. Thanks for the great review!
What a CRISP looking firearm. Girsan is 100% good to go in my opinion. Had a MC28sa, traded it away but it was a good blaster. Recently got a Regard and it's perfect. Slide rides like oiled glass! And I'm bidding on a Girsan 1911.
Another nice looking gun from Girsan. Thanks for keep bringing these gems to us. Apparently they're not subscribed to your channel if they don't know about Grand Power. Go ahead and subscribe you'll never regret it.
I love the magazine compatibility test portion of this video. Luckily, I own most of the guns you mentioned. This will weigh heavily when deciding whether on not to buy the MC9. How does the saying go.,,,."If it fits, you must commit."
I had an MC 28 tv and I didn’t like it. Got rid of it. But this one looks better. Looks to me like a Canik frame with a Canik trigger. Love the red dot.
@@GBGuns Well to begin with, the trigger. It was very S&W like and it was too mushy. Second was the grip. And third, has nothing to do with the gun, but the red dot it came with was pretty difficult to zero.
I have 4 mags, none will rack with 17 rounds, fine woth 16. Right side slide release does not work. Mags are not flush fit and cannot find spacers to buy. Accuracy is spotty at times. Possibly, because of its tight tolerances, it needs an extended break in period. Well made.
I don't remember if I test for other magazine compatibility with this gun in this video or the range video, but the importer is usually the best source for magazines.
I noticed some wearing on my disconnector notch on the slide after a few thousands of rounds on the range.. but didn’t feel any change in function. Is it a big issue?
I was a little surprised to see the Bersa TPR9 Magazine fit in another gun even though ir didn't fully function. Does anyone of any other Magazines that will fit in the Bersa TPR9 or 9c, other than a modified Beretta 92 mag? The Bersa is really a great gun but Magazines are a little scarce. At least you've given me a little hope.
I haven't tried to mix and fit the TPR9 yet, mostly because it's my bedside gun. Any more than one mag and chances are I wasn't going to solve the situation anyways.
@@GBGuns I can see that. I have the TPR9c and it would be nice to find a cheaper alternative for higher capacity mag for range day whenever that becomes affordable. Please let us know if you do find any.
@@GBGuns Well that stinks, but I really appreciate the thought and effort. I had hopes for the Canik mags. I really enjoy your videos more than any others in the gun world. Keep it up.
The optic is a RMSC footprint, so I imagine anything in that class would fit. I haven't tinkered with it as we don't modify guns for our Shooting Impressions video. We run them out of the box so you know what you'd be getting, anything else is misleading.
If only we could ask... Just ask your dentist the next time you're in. They have to throw them away after a certain amount of use. You can also find them online or at gun shows.
It's a shame RUclips reviewers have to timidly explain why they are allowed to demo a gun in a certain way. A demonstrator SHOULD be able to disassemble a gun to ANY level and put the exact same parts back together with no explanation. Mods, those are up for debate, but not a field OR full strip and reassembly.
You cannot, I repeat, CANNOT over insert a double stack magazine. That is a myth, you can, however over insert a single stack, such as a 1911 magazine. Per Bill Wilson.
Explaining the breakdown is so sad. Worded absolutely 💯 perfectly but sad that it has to be said. & That is EXACTLY what RUclips was for!! Pathetic what politics can do to something good!
And Google staff are ignorant. I offered to fly down and meet with their policy writers, they even had me send in my credentials and copies of my published articles, the.n suddenly said they don't accept outside consult

Turkey makes nice guns. Thanks.
Thank you for going through possible mag option. I wish all reviewers would do this when possible.
With only one mag included it was a necessity

I am really liking the Girsan line of pistols thanks to you lol. My FFL gets them on occasion but this is one I haven't seen. Great review as always !

I like the new frame texture/finish. Looks like mechanically its S&W M&P inspired. From what you've shown it should be a good value
Good looking gun for the price. Will be an excellent addition to my collection of lesser known guns.
Another nice looking gun from Girsan. Thanks for keep bringing these gems to us.

I was a bit disappointed that it only ships with one mag, Grand Power to the rescue!
Slide reminds me of FNS, cool it comes with its own dot. Most of what you need day 1.
Ha. That's awesome, my Canik mags fit my Girsan, never would have thought to try it.
I try to be as in-depth as I can, including trying out mags when it looks like they might otherwise be scarce.
Came here after seeing the new Girsan MC9 Dissapointment, what an upgrade it was indeed
A paint job and a threaded barrel?
@@GBGuns Exactly, I bet it took 1 year to decide on which paint job and another to decide which part of the gun to upgrade 😐
Decent Turkish pistol.. my choice would be the Grand Power any day.
It should work with S&W 59 series mags. I think MC21 does and it seems MC model mags are interchangeable.
Good looking pistol. The mags look like what a CZ75 may use or the BUL Armory Cherokee at first glance. 🎩☯️♠️
Day late watching but great video.
How did the red dot work out was it a good one

Anybody know where I can get an iwb holster for the mc9? Or a pistol that’s compatible?
The overhang of the optic on the frame reveals something whitish, possibly an exposed portion of the battery? Anything to be concerned about?
That's a seal on the bottom of the optic. I certainly wouldn't take it swimming but I bet it's fine for the range. We'll see when we shoot it
Thank you for your review. Where can I find magazines for this weapon? What mags are compatible?
I don't remember if I test for other magazine compatibility with this gun in this video or the range video, but the importer is usually the best source for magazines.
I can't find anything on The Importer. Can you share a link?
Do you remember the model you used of the grand power mag in this video?
@jamesayala6293 not here on RUclips, but I responded with a link on GBGunsDepot
@jamesayala6293 all Grand Power 9mm 15rd magazines are the same, so K100, X-Calibur, Q1 etc are the same
I noticed some wearing on my disconnector notch on the slide after a few thousands of rounds on the range.. but didn’t feel any change in function. Is it a big issue?
Only one mags? What mags will fit?
Hi, I know nothing about grand power, which magazine specifically is the one I would need? I have the mc9 T the one with the mag well flare.
Interesting how the ejection port cut extends at an angle on the left side for a short distance. wonder why they did that?
WELL WELL WELL, I can use the TP9 magazine as basically a Dry fire Mag, thank you. lol
Hello, I want to ask how could I get (install) red dot sight for this gun? I same gun

can the optic be replaced with a Holosun 407/ 507k or rmsc excetra , or are you stuck with the offbrand one installed ?
